  1. I would love to see other folks' photos of their Bandai cards!
  2. Here is what Google Translate says they say in English.
  3. I just picked up some Japanese Intellivision cards from Bandai made back in 1983. Prior to getting these, I never knew these existed!
  4. Rev has a mellow easy-going humorous personality. Just be aware that any jokes you dish out to him become fair game to be dished back (in good humor) at some opportune time in the future (as things should be).
  5. With the overlaid image of the Intellivision, I lean towards 'no' more now. The bottom edge of the console and the controller disc line up, but the top edge of the console does not (it does line up with one of the horizontal measurement lines that extend past the console).
  6. Interesting. However, I didn't notice any UK spellings but did see US spellings instead (did I miss any). For example, 2nd page lower right says "For color T.V. viewing only" when it would be more appropriate to have "colour" for the UK market. This isn't definitive, though.
  7. cardboard? That's a bit disappointing. Agreed! That is disappointing.
  8. Interesting. I should point out that the copyright on the 2nd page is 1979. Not sure it that changes anything, though.
  9. Second to last page, left of the demo display unit's bottom but below the TV, there is an advertisement near the magazines. Anyone recognize this blurry ad? Anyone recognize the KC program being shown? The green background makes me think Stock Analysis or Weight Loss. The three columns of text would fit both of these.
  10. Last page, bottom left photo, anyone else notice the Master Component box design on the wall? Any eagle-eyed person want to check against early actual boxes and see if there are differences? I don't have such a box.
  11. Hard to make out and had to darken the image... but what device are those mechanical drawings of? At first I thought it was the Intellivision itself but now I lean 'no'. It's very hard to make out.
  12. Last interior page, lower right, talking about Merchandishing Support, mentions "point of purchase displays". The papers on Papa Intellivision's site mention POP which is an acronym for Point Of Purchase.
  13. Here are some zoomed in photos of note... Close up of the KC display: Close up of of the Federal Income Tax tape. Probably a mock up but _could_ have been the actual planned label. Demo display unit makes a 2nd appearance, with the booklet turned to the MLB game. Folks assembling KC units (likely staged). Not sure all those circuit boards go in the actual KC. The board in the top center doesn't look right to me.
  14. Given what's on the last pages, I suspect this catalog was an early catalog that targeted stores and sellers. Here are some quick photos:
  15. Mine arrived just fine, especially since you used USPS instead of UPS.
  16. I can confirm that they are not as uncomfortable as hell to use. Instead, they are as uncomfortable as a deeper, darker, Lovecraftian-horror place that mere hell-based demons fear to tread.
  17. These look like the ColecoVision versions of the Wico Command Control joysticks, as mentioned in the "Missing Manual" below. Can you confirm?
  18. I just had UPS lose a package last month! They are consistently bad, spanning multiple cities I've lived in and multiple decades. How are they still in business?
  19. I misread the above as... "No PlayCable in my collection, but unfortunately I do own the manual set."
  20. Congratulations! Just as a warning, I recommend not putting any tapes into the KC (Keyboard Component). After decades of aging, the rubber belts and wheels likely no longer work properly. This could result in the KC damaging any tapes put into it. I don't put any tapes into my KC for this reason.
  21. Thanks. I thought it might be random, but a local business made me think it might have a message hidden inside it...
