    Hello, the playability is the same on the 7 versions, only the gfx and the sfx/music are differents.

    Each version have his default and his qualities

    8 bits

    C64 : fantastic music, but background have not enough coulors

    Cpc : better colors et better sfx than c64 but music is better on c64 and the background is always the same in solo mode

    AppleII : color and sfx are poor, music is ugly

    Pc : color are ugly (ega) but music better than appleII. This is the only one version (8 or 16 bits) with a beautiful princess !

    Spectrum : not enough color but the sprites are smooth than all other 8bits

     

    16 bits

    AtariST : nice music (same that cpc), digit sfx, the sprites and gfx are a little better than 8bits

    Amiga : same sprites and sfx than atari, most colored backrground, but no music !

    Hello

    Just before the new year, i have just finished my 7th and last version of barbarian on jaguar

    It's the zx spectrum version

    It's not the most beautiful but i think its the first release of the 1987 palace team.

    The sprites looks like the original draws of steve brown and the sorcerer look like in the 1986 movie "conan the barbarian"

    This version has a menu, and for thanking all who helped me on atariage, i have add credits in the menu.

    Now, my remake of this game is now finished.

    Maybe in 2019 i will make an ehanced version ;)

    Hello, i'm back after some months of big work with my job, so i had no free time to coding !

    This week-end i have found time to finish the appleII version :

    I have now finished de pc-ega version, nammed death sword in the usa in 1988

    Its not the most beautiful but it will remember to you the ibm-pc of 80's ! :P

    hello

    no pc- ega for the moment, i am working on the project "barbarian+" wich is a new version of barbarian on amiga with ehanced gfx, music and bonus...

    the project is big, i hope i will reach to do as good as their work

    here is a .abs preview in attached files

    i have a question : it si possible to play two sound effects in the same time with zerosquare player ? or i must use u235 player ?

    important : i have updated all the zip of the precedent links because windows had a warning when you download all files in one.

    it was because of the .exe inside the folder (the emulator)

    now, the emulator is inside a zip, so no more warning of windows :grin:

    i recommand to always playing the roms with this emulator (PT.exe) because with virtualjaguar, the sfx are too quick and the game is too slow

    now, 4/7 version are done.

    the next will be the PC-CGA version in a few days (easy to do)

    with the help of the easy and powerful Raptor Basic + (rb+) available on Atariage,

    this year i have ported the remake on Atari Jaguar.

    here is a video of the rom working on jaguar with a skunkboard :

    i'm proud of it because it's the most faithful to the original :thumbsup:

    there is three roms in the zip : for cartridge, for skunkboard and for emulator (PT.exe recommanded is included in the zip)

    Today is a great day for the remake of barbarian on jaguar ! :thumbsup:

    I have finished the Atari ST version !

    Everything is good working, i'm proud of this one because it's the most beautiful version of this game !

    For having the best speed of game and sfx, there is three roms in the zip :

    One for cartridges

    One for skunkboard

    One for emulators

    PT emulator is recommanded (included in the zip)

    I hope you will enjoy to have this atari version on jaguar
