  1. hmmm, I'm starting to think it is. Can anyone say "stolen credit card?"
  2. Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but I'm not sure if I trust this person, her message seems a bit automated. Any advice would be appreciated thanks, spongebue Edit: also, the email traces back to Indonesia
  3. I had my first sale on AA recently, and figured that I should give the good word about who I have traded with (even though it probably won't happen too often) Breakpack - Fast payment, friendly guy. Also, I know it's a different situation, but I once got a free broken iBook from Room 34, who is very reliable and a cool guy.
  4. You know, years ago, there was a card with a Z-80 chip on it for use with the original IBM-PC. That card was designed exclusively for CP/M use. If you can still find one and toss it in a PC (or, even, an older MS-DOS based machine) that might be the way to go. The whole setup should be pretty cheap, too. But, didn't most TRS-80s use TRSDOS? I know the Model IV was set up for use with CP/M as were a couple of other Radio Shacks (I think), but most users stuck with the Shack's operating system, didn't they? 858887[/snapback] Yeah, that could be it, too. If I get the chace to sometime, I'll take a look at it (I have never used it, just seen it laying on his floor As for the chip card thingy, I think emulation is the way to go, if possible. Nothing to buy, no worry about backwards compatibility (who knows if his next computer even has an ISA slot? )
  5. Nope, you just bought it anyway, I already got it shipped out today
  6. hey guys, My uncle has been using his Radio Shack TRS-80 for years which (I'm pretty sure) is running CP/M. This computer is finally dieing on him, and he is finally planning on going to a modern computer one of these days. Is there any kind of reliable emulator that would let him use his old disks he has? I'm sure I can rig up some kind of 5 1/4" drive, but these disks are not even formatted the same way! Any help is appreciated, as always thanks, spongebue PS: he's not very computer literate, so the more user friendly, the better
  7. I'm talking about forums like general chat. There are way more than 3 pages, but that's all that's shown.
  8. Do you really have to have it? I'm really not a big fan of it, especially since it skips quite a bit anyway, it may as well be pretty readily available. So, to the removal of forum pruning (even though it's really Alex, Albert, and BG's decision) who says "yay" and who says "neigh?"
  9. using IE5.5 at school (must get these guys to switch to firefox...) at 1024x768 doesn't look that great, either
  10. I don't have a 5200, but try giving the contacts a cleaning. Also, put these threads in the 5200 forum next time.
  11. looks like it's still available, if anyone is interested. shipping will probably be about $10.
  12. never mind, based on xenomorpher's post it looks like she's an investment that pays some pretty good interest
  13. I recently got an Intellivision, and realized I probably won't be using it much, so I decided to sell it. What I have is a loose Intellivision II system, Intellivoice, and 23 boxed games. Most of these games are in good condition, though there is a little wear on some boxes. Some have rough corners, as you may expect from something this old, and a few are missing the bottom flap. All of the games seem to be in pretty good condition, though. Most have overlays and instructions. The Intellivoice works fine, but was meant for the old Intellivision model, so it looks a little weird as far as colors go. The system is in great shape, except for the number pad on the second controller is a bit crinkled. If you're looking for specifics on whether a certain game has the overlays, instructions or even a different picture, feel free to PM me, or post here. I'm asking for $50 for all of this, plus shipping and $5 for packing stuff (hey, there's a lot of stuff here!) Games: (in no particular order) Q*bert B-17 Bomber (uses Intellivoice) Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Armor Battle Sharp Shot Major League Baseball Burgertime Lock 'n' Chase Demon Attack NHL Hockey Pitfall! Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack Astrosmash Night Stalker Star Strike Utopia Frogger Space Armada NBA Basketball Space Spartans (uses Intellivoice) Atlantis NFL Football Donkey Kong Thanks, spongebue
  14. http://benheck.com/book/support/Atari2600VidMod.htm why pay someone to do it when you can do it yourself?
  15. I gotta say, it's kinda funny to think that I have been to pretty much all of the stores you mentioned (make that all of them if the EB Games was the one at City Center) and that I knew you aren't letting your son know about your SP. Aaaah, the things you learn when you talk with a guy for an hour over loud music and burritos Anyway, have you tried that one store I told you about? Their GBA selection is decent, though many games are loose
  16. while I have this thread going, does anyone have any suggestions for creating auctions, besides not having crazy color schemes or a zillion flashing gifs? thanks, spongebue
  17. don't have any reason to do that. I just want the auction to look like I made some kind of effort instead of saying "this is a [insert product name here]. I think it works. Here is a picture that may or may not be the actual product"
  18. does that include images on another site (not hotlinking, of course) thanks, spongebue I knew you'd be the first to respond to that thread, and in less than 5 minutes
  19. Hi, umm... I know this is a kinda dumb question, but can you use HTML in ebay auctions? It would seem like it due to how some of them are laid out, but I never listed anything on ebay, and will soon. If you can, is it everything you can have on a normal webpage, or is the tag amount limited? thanks, spongebue
  20. I'll second that one. It's a bit expensive (don't remember how much, though) but I was at Target a month or 2 ago and they had 'em
  21. I can't help but to get a little chuckle with the title
