  1. Got it Thanks for this cool album - maybe you will return to Jaguar someday
  2. pps

    Serial Number

As you shared this, I just looked on the machine, my childs got @easter... and, yes, it states "made in Hong Hong", too 😁
  3. You will crash almost every DOS and even GameDOS using that memory locations. Page 6 is OK, and for "standard" DOS compatibility better don't use anything till $2000 then with blocks, that have to be loaded.
  4. Maybe title of this thread is not the best. Never thought, that here is a poll inside. Went here just by a random click...
  5. Didn't looked deeper into this, but imho you can install other emulators with this on the machine - it's an alternate firmware. Adding games direct to the carousel might not work, if I understand release news correct.
  6. Imho the disk drive emulation is not as exact as it would be needed to run this demo. They used own loading routines there, so that the method the emulator in the400 uses won't work. The400 is not a machine for watching demos. The emulation is not good enough for this and atm you can't set it to be able to see the whole Atari screen. Best example is one of my rather simple intros - Atari 50, a simple one screener with music and scroller. The font has glitches on the400, that are not seen on A8 or Altirra.
  7. XBOX 360 wired controller (version that works on PC, too) is fine and you have all the buttons mapped.
  8. Here is a link that might help a bit understanding all the 6502 opcodes: https://www.masswerk.at/6502/6502_instruction_set.html But better not use that "illegal opcodes", to be sure upgraded machines will execute your code.
  9. Here the settings for most possible view area of screen: display_start_line = 0; display_height = 239; display_width = 350;
  10. .car is clearly supported. Besides the Space Harrier, I started ATARI Tennis and ATARI Blast! without any problem. If the ROMs are for the 5200 you should check the 5200 option. This machine has different internal structure from all the other A8 machines, The400 mini supports. btw: Stunt Car Racer (.atr) and Crownland (.xex) are working fine, too 👍
  11. Ah, I see, you found a working version. Just to make it clear for everyone. This pic was taken using the same atr, I used before, but I started a 3 player game to be sure emulation is fine...
  12. Add this, too: Being able to show full ATARI resolution.
  13. If you like, take my help for German translation.
  14. I used 2 different Nokia/MS PSU. One with 1A, the other with 1.5A. Both worked fine.
  15. Here a screenshot from usb loaded M.U.L.E.: Problem is really just a wrong image of the game. I really can't understand how such a mistake can happen... Is there no one who takes control, if everything is correct?
  16. Imho a solution with the pi should be, that it is used to emulate all our beloved machines. I own a gb case for my pi zero 2w and this is awesome. So many of the good old systems in that small device. Even a PS1 is possible with 60Hz framerate. But maybe some expansions are easier to realise with that cool new power machines, where FPGA or other stuff would be needed - so why not? The described commy64 solution is of course way to far.
  17. Hello folks, I am happy to present you our newest intro: LII intro --------- - intro for all A8 with at least 48 kB of RAM - runs on NTSC & PAL machines - supports dual POKEY output - song covered by Buddy - ZX02 decompression by DMSC used - RMT replay based on work of DMSC + VinsCool - gfx converting/repainting + rest of code by PPs Stay ATARI!____________________________March 2024 LII_intro.zip I really hope, you will like it. I really like it that much, that my 600 XL + hifi tower runs for some hours in an endless loop now So cool that we have most of the intro of this popular game on the A8 now - feels like bitd when the A500 had run for hours just to loop this intro... Now we need someone who writes the game.
  18. Find another convert of this - by using great g2f tool - here:
  19. Another new ABBUC Magazine is ready, so here's the intro for you. The whole magazine disk is available to download for all ABBUC members from ABBUC website. ABBUCintro #156 --------------- - intro for all A8 with at least 48 kB of RAM - runs on NTSC & PAL machines - supports dual POKEY output - music + Anubis picture by Buddy - logo + gfx convert (Anubis, AI generated Egypt mask) + rest of code by PPs __________________________________released on ABBUC Magazin #156 March, 2024 ABBUCintro156.zip Hope you like our little intro.
  20. Maybe a solution to get some more time would be to make the visible area a bit smaller (1 or 2 gfx0 lines) if 60Hz machine is detected.
  21. I found a nice AI generated picture that fits to actual Egyptian trend here This is the result after running for a night: 34 colors pps_AI_Egypt_Mask.zip Zip contains executeable for NTSC and PAL plus info where to find the picture.
  22. Along with many other things I created for our little A8, you can get NYD2024 now also direct from my area @abbuc.social tnfs with your FujiNet empowered ATARI. Just head over to abbuc.social there and go to members/pps. Thanks ABBUC e.V. and @cas for providing this service.
  23. About 24 h after exclusive "creators" release and about 19 h after video release, here my little add on to NYD2024. Not only for this years contributors, but for all contributors of the past issues of NYD I want to say: THANK YOU!
