  1. Cool! Are the gerber files available anywhere so we can order some PCBs too? I'd definitely like a few.
  2. It's a really great game! Definitely worth picking up. 👍👍
  3. Damn, that really sucks! I never got the newsletter for some reason. I really hope these games will be available elsewhere if this is the case. I'd love to have unlocked versions of all the Elektronite games that I already bought from Willy, but I just can't swing everything... Horrible timing at the moment. I'll definitely grab a few of these that I don't have at all though.
  4. From what I heard, I'm not sure if anymore of these will be made or not, but if so, I definitely want one! 👍
  5. Rats.. Hopefully the rom will available to purchase at some point. 🤞
  6. Oh, well nevermind then. Man, you're on it! Lol. I try to read through all these threads, but I miss things here & there. Just glad you're already aware.
  7. Not sure if this has been documented anywhere yet, but I've just ran across another interesting audio-related bug on Rikki & Vikki, regarding save states in particular. I finally acquired the Mega Adapter and have just started playing around with the break menu & save states today. Anyway, while playing, I beat the 1st boss, and progressed to the 2nd stage, immediately creating a new save state there, but overwriting a previous one. Everything was running like normal, but while on the 2nd level in the Egypt stage (Sand Cavern), I died, and when the death animation/game over music started playing, I immediately loaded that new save state, never giving that previous musical sequence a chance to end. Here's where it gets interesting - When my save state loaded, the death/game over music still continued to play, instead of the usual background music, and when that sequence ended, there was no background music at all, just like how a game over screen would behave. Only the sound effects (jumping, block throwing, bonking off of stuff, etc) were audible. When I went to the 2nd level on stage 2, still no background music, and so on. The music that's supposed to play never comes back. Here's what I've noticed - whatever music was last playing, that's what will continue to play when I load this save state. Even if I power off the console and restart the game, then load the save state, ie. Stage 1/level 1 music playing on the 2nd Egyptian stage, etc. Weird eh?! 😛 I also have a different save state too, created right when I get to the boss on Stage 1, so I'll try playing around with that, but will be more patient and let any musical sequence end this time, before saving or reloading any save states, etc, to see if any other anomalies occur again, or if it fixes itself. 👍 Anyway, just thought this was pretty interesting and thought I'd document it here. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed in the future. EDIT - tried my other save state and the audio fixed itself.
  8. A bit late to the party here, but I'm glad I saw this! I contacted Best about possibly getting 5200 controller replacement parts a few months back, but have been getting the run around, so I just bought a set of mylars from our friend in Texas.
  9. Unfortunately the 7800GD does jive with my OSSC 1.6 into my old 2017 Vizio at all. Seems like a sync issue? Cuts in & out pretty bad. IDK, but I'll play with it some more later and will try setting up a new profile with Muddyfunsters settings. 🤞Hopefully it'll help. In the meantime, it's working great with the Retrotink 2X Scart though! RGB looks absolutely incredible. 😍
  10. I was just about to post about the volume increase/decrease bug and even took a video of it, but I read back few posts and discovered I'm not alone. Glad it's being looked into.. It kind of caught me by surprise when it started doing it, I was like WTF? Lol (NTSC - early AT84 7800, modded with UAV S-video board & Crossbow's Mount board, but now using 7800GD RGB output instead). What an incredible game though.. So glad I finally got to play this! The music is so sick! The death screen also looks amazing. Love it. A top tier game, all around! 😎
  11. I had a funky problem myself with firmware... First, I scanned the QR code in the manual and tried using the firmware from that link, but when I booted it up, it kept saying the update is "invalid", refusing to boot into the menu. Next, I tried scanning the QR code on the TV screen itself and used that link instead. Once I downloaded that firmware and replaced the previous file with this new one, it booted right up. Weird! It must be serialized or something.
  12. Highly doubt any advanced homebrews you mentioned will work on the 2600+. 😕 I'd get a 7800 instead to ensure maximum compatibility.
  13. SAG definitely has a 2nd batch in hand at the moment, but I don't know why it's not available on their website yet. I assume they're concentrating trying to fulfill orders from customers (like myself) that were victims of the 1st batch inventory glitch fiasco. I just received my 7800GD from them yesterday, so I'm sure it won't be long until everyone can have a shot at one. I could reach out to them and ask, as I missed out on the Mega controller adapter and am still interested in getting one.. I know Al has them in stock here, but SAG gave me a $15 credit due to overselling batch 1, so it would be nice to take advantage of that.
  14. You're correct, it's from Stone Age Gamer. As far as the 2nd batch, I don't know how big it is or what the status is, but I believe I only received mine before the general public, due to the whole inventory glitch debacle and SAG wanting to make things right with anyone who already paid for a 7800GD when the 1st batch oversold. Not sure how many folks were in my position either, but hopefully once all those previous unfulfilled orders are taken care of, the rest of the batch will be available to everyone.. I would assume anyway.
  15. FINALLY! After get psyched out on the first batch (due to the SAG inventory glitch/overselling batch 1), batch 2 has finally arrived and at long last, I have a 7800GD in hand. I'm beyond stoked, and will definitely be playing this later today, in glorious RGB! 😃
  16. Very cool. Hope there's a digital option too! 😬🤞
  17. @Rev When's the last day to sign up, is it at the end of September, the 30th?
  18. Awesome work man! IntelliPad is a great name.. That's what I'd stick with.
  19. All of these look awesome! Really hope to try em out at some point.
  20. Meh.. While it's kind of cool, it's a hard pass for me. 👎 Just the fact that it's not fully compatible with both 2600 & 7800 libraries is a huge disappointment. If it can't play flashcarts and new homebrews, then it's completely useless to me. It's really unfortunate that they went the software emulation route.. FFS, don't we have enough emulation boxes available already? 😕 They could've had a real homerun on their hands, had they gone the FPGA route. Sure, it'll appeal to casual collectors and that's great, but hardcore vintage gaming console enthusiasts that insist on using real hardware will probably steer clear, myself included. Anyway, if they do happen to come out with some brand new 7800 euro pads, then that's one thing I actually would buy! Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be an option at this point, which is shocking, considering they implemented the 7800.. Folks are going to be pretty disappointed when then go to play 7800 games on this thing with a 1 button controller. Lol 😬 Some 5200 love would've been nice too.. Yeah, the carts are shaped different, but they could've made it work if they would've included an SD card slot on the back. Maybe they'll make an adapter in the future? 🤔 It'll be interesting to see how this all shakes out.
