  1. Hot damn, I posted these ages ago! Any hoo - I just modified one a little bit, so I can play some paddle games on my 800XL. This will work on other Ataris too. 2nd button is wired to UP. Joystick left is paddle button. Works a treat and the dial doesn't get in the way of the buttons either (even though it may look like it does...)
  2. This is an old thread! I make and sell nice mini arcade7800 sticks. contact me on virtvic.controllers@gmail.com
  3. I got my money back, but have yet to buy a replacement. It’s in my list of things to do though… do you know of a reliable place to get fully assembled ones from?
  4. I have just bought the French super cassette vision and will probably get the 4 multi carts for it, to have the full set of games, but I was wondering - has anyone made a single cart pcb for these that you can burn your own roms onto eprom for it? i know not all the games can be done due to battery back ups and extra ram on board, but the standard games should be doable?
  5. I don’t think I’d have enough room. The boxes are quite ‘mini’
  6. I think you’re already down for a VECTREX one?
  7. If I were to make it, the 2 buttons would be bigger (24mm Sanwa) and a bit lower down, so you d use the left hand stick and the 2 buttons as a regular controller. I’d say about £90 + postage (to the US is about £21)
  8. I always wanted to make one, but could never get Robotron to work in my PAL 7800. I have made them in the past for VECTREX and usb, but not for the 7800. Not sure there would be a need for them really? If I get at least 10 ‘ yes please ‘ I’ll add it to my list of projects. Here is the pc one I made for someone.
  9. Wow - 'I only just saw this' 2 years ago and I've just got around to doing it - video works really nicely - thanks for the post! However - The controller pots don't seem right? If you move the knob all the way one, your bats (both players) go WAAAAY off (the bottom) of the screen, thus not giving you the full motion of the pots. It seems like the pots are wrong - but these are from factory?
  10. That’s ok, they are very different to micro Switch and leaf switch buttons.
  11. They are official Sanwa Arcade buttons. You can only use these as they are the only true arcade buttons that will fit in the case, with it being so low. Glad you are enjoying it!
  12. These controllers have neen tested on a real Colecovision and they work just fine! I've just made 2 more for a customer (with the pause button around the back) I have a ton of other controllers to make, but will also be taking orders for these too. I can offer the colour overlay and also a b&w one (like arcade cabaret / cocktail versions) without the Vectrex logo of course!
  13. I’ll have another look at it, thanks. it sucks that they’ve used your design and not even mentioned you on the pcb…
  14. Hi there! I'd really like to make one of your Vaus controllers specifically for my Famicom. Could I buy a pcb from yourself and get a BOM please? Especially the box you used - looks the business!

  15. I’ve tried that, I’ve used a Pi1541 on this computer before successfully, so I know the SIO port is good. I've tried that, yes. The company are sending another one.
  16. I have just successfully loaded FB16 onto my Plus4 with another SD2IEC. I know for certain my SD card is good. Could the silk screen ATN / DATA / CLK be printed wrong, possibly? Apart from the unit being faulty, or the firmware not being loaded to the ATmega - I'm at a loss now???
  17. I just tried the small basic prorgam and the above command and it does exactly the same as trying to LOAD"FB16",8 (just hangs) - When attempting to load the fB16 menu, it does say searchging for... and then just hangs like that. I emailed the supplier and they are basically useless, first askinjg me if I'd fixed it yet and then pointing me to wards retrohax. This PCB is different to the one on that site. Similar, but different.

  19. That’s what I thought. Those sd2iec is slightly different to the ones I’ve had before. It came from retroguru.eu in Poland. It came with some extension wires, a 3pin LED and a push button. No instructions or links came with it at all. I installed it the same way as any other computer and used pins 1&2 from the User port for power. I copied the software with the 2x firmware files and FB16 as normal onto an SD card formatted with fat16 (I also tried fat32, no difference) and it just hangs on ‘searching’
  20. I've just bought an internal sd2iec for my Plus4. Installed it and tried to load the FB16 program and it jst hangs saying 'searching for fb16' I've installed these before with no problems in C64's and vic20s I'm only getting 4.7v on the power lines on the sd2iec - could that be the problem?
  21. I'm on a bit of a Famicom bender at the moment... While looking at collectible Famicom stuff, I found two controllers that were a bit of an oddity and you need them to play (properly) the very small number of games that were released with them. So, I decided to make my own. The first one was incredibly easy to do - a Hypershot Track & FIeld type controller. I added another run button so it's more like the arcade (they are just wired together) It would be much better to get proper arcade leaf switches in there (like T&F and Hyper Sports arcade), but I don't think I can fit them in the boxes I usually use. The controller is very ghetto, without any kind of overlay (yet) - it works pretty good though! Any one else made their own controllers (I make a bunch of different style arcade controllers for lots of systems) https://tenpencearcade.co.uk/controllers-for-sale/ The next one to make is an Arkanoid Vaus controller. I've asked the guy who did the DIY Hypershot and Vaus PCB, but he hasn't responded yet.
  22. My SD card became corrupted (a ceryain file was *something*.n.es) and couldn't be deleted. Every single game would boot to a black screen. I re formatted the sd card and now everything works perfectly. Even some games that previously didn't work that I just thought were bad dumps.
  23. Damn, just stumbled across this ancient post - I make loads of controllers now, check some out - https://tenpencearcade.co.uk/controllers-for-sale/
