  1. Ok, the linked grommets above are a direct replacement for the Wico bat and ball top sticks that I have here. They are a bit stiff, as to be expected, but it allowed me to tighten the leaf switch throws up, and as of yet I ve not had misdirection from the sticks not centering.
  2. I don t really think that making "Atari Agers", which where initially pulling for this to happen the most, and would be not only their target audience but possibly best free marketing group, into daft, dumb, doubting, do-little dimwits is possibly going to help their potential launch. If skeptics are going to be brazenly bashed and censored, then this rude, crude, dude, should be harassed and tendered.
  3. I ordered a pair of them . I ll let you know how they work or if they re too stiff or anything.
  4. This is way over my head, but I would like to point out that every masterplay clone that I ve used had pots to adjust for center. Even the Wico sticks had adjustments on the bottom. Most 5200's have some wander in them, meaning that if I set my wico for center on one 5200, it has a different adjustment for center than my other 5200.
  5. Here s a pic of one like yours torn down for modification. This is not my content, but I sure wish it was. https://mrpjevans.com/an-atari-2600-in-a-cartridge/
  6. Ok, so tore the one down that didn't require me getting up, and inside under the white plastic box is a grommet that is in fact the Wico arcade grommet according to my micrometer and the specs linked here http://www.arcadeshop.de/product_info.php?item_number=546&products_id=546&language=en Mine is actually "gooie". Great job Mitch!
  7. I ll tear one down tomorrow evening and find out. It seems that I tried one of those before, but we ll see.
  8. This whole deal reminds me of the Woodstock 50 fallout. Pretty interesting read really https://www.vulture.com/2019/07/is-woodstock-50-canceled-what-to-know-about-the-festival.html I ve also read some of the responses from Country Joe and John Fogerty. They re a hoot.
  9. This has been requested before, but does anyone have a source for the grommet that Wico sticks use to center? I ve got like 10 of these sticks, and all of them have rubber deterioration on the pivot grommet/mount.
  10. As I ve said many times... Go Fish! is easily my favorite Atari game across any of the consoles.
  11. Not as of yet. I don t have an adapter cable to try it. I hooked up the retrotink today, and after a random push of buttons got a really nice color picture with no lag that I can see. I m going to order a right angle rca male to female, so I ll order the cable you where talking about too and try it without the Retrotink. I ll let you know what kind of difference there is, if any.
  12. What about one of those Retro Pi emulator things?
  13. Not just yet. The cables are supposed to be here from Monoprice on the morrow.
  14. Got in the Retrotink today. It was even assembled. Got in my Mini hdmi adapter cable yesterday. I ordered a 12" adapter cable. I don t know, I just felt that it would put less strain on the Retrotink than a straight adapter. My other cables should be in from monoprice Monday. If all goes well with the hookup and picture, I ll order an Atarimax by Wednesday. Also, I enjoy your reviews. Great job!
  15. I definitely like the new case. About your washer..... I got a really nice set of matching red steam washer and dryer on pedestals at the garbage dump a few years ago. 100 bucks worth of parts and they where as good as new. I actually had a pretty good deal going on. The guy at the dump would hold all of the high end appliances for me, I would give him 10 bucks a piece for his effort, then I would fix them, try them, and sell at really cheap prices. It s how I got my kitchenaid ice machine and mixer too.
  16. If this word "cart-i-fying" isn't trademarked, I m going to steal it.
  17. I want something with reclining leather seats, that goes really fast, and gets really shitty gas mileage

Yeah, we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight
I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off of it
Ah, you reach down, between my legs
      Ease the seat back
      She's blinding, I'm flying
Right behind the rear-view mirror now
      Got the feeling, power steering
Pistons popping, ain't no stopping now
  18. Spotted that right after ordering the Retrotink. How well does it work for you? Reminds me of the little walkman jack that I remember having trouble with.
  19. Hmm, it seems that there was a poll or some discussion on here a while back as to how many actually still play on a crt. I don t much remember the outcome, but can imagine that number dwindling, though crt s are resilient. Now I m rather curious how much that would narrow the market for lightgun games. Puriests will always use crt's. So the question kinda is, what is the puriest to homebrew buyer ratio?
  20. Well, mainly because there s one particular audio set that I like . You know how it changes tunes every reset? I don t dig harsh noises, and there s one on there that s pretty relaxing. Oh, and the color palate is quite nice.
