Thanks ? I bought it from RoseColoredGaming on Etsy a few years ago. You can still get one from them (Lynx II only) in three different colors (transparent, frosted, black), and they're only US$9.49 each:

I found it charmingly amusing when you read aloud emails and forum podcasts back and forth. its kind of nerdy funny in the strangest way, especially how you use radio/filter for reading other peoples' voices.
Ive never really gotten into Blue Lightning but your podcast made me think I'll give it another try eventually.

I thought the same thing about Atomic, Igor. Watching the video section on Atomic, I was reminded of the Atari VCS (2600) game Reactor (hard but very unique game).
Glad to see that unoclay's video channel got some love on atarigamer.com ?

I downloaded as many of the homebrews, software experiments, and unfinished roms from the atarigamer.com that I could find, and for now, I'm working through them alphabetically. Not sure if i'll stick to that format, but it gives me a reason to sit and play the games, and spend a bit more time with the tech demos and semi-finished concepts than i otherwise might.

I sincerely welcome comments or "subs" as the kids say, but any feedback--critical or otherwise--is certainly welcome. I'd actually like to come up with some more creative, even esoteric, way of approaching the topic, but baby steps for now, right? Having fun doing it regardless. Hope it pleases some of you.
Watched your video and subscribed to your channel two days before I saw this post. Well done! Looking forward to more videos. ?

As you can see, there will be also horizontal and vertical levels (there were only 1 of 2 of this kind in original game), and it takes a bit less than 3 minutes to get jump and double jump, with some puzzles, compared to the 30 seconds in contest release.
(*) I know, this seems to be unpronounceable in english, so there will be a new name also, probably something like Aychannak (spirit in ancient maya or inca language :D)
I would say that Ynxa is no more difficult to pronounce in English than QiX...or Aychannak, for that matter. I vote to keep it the same. I assume it's pronounced INK-sah?

I discovered an interesting item when I made a purchase from B & C ComputerVisions (via their eBay store) earlier this week.
I purchased two NIB Lynx games that I didn't already have: DinoLympics and Pac-Land. Both arrived very quickly, having completed the purchase on 1/29/21 and receiving them on 2/1/21, a mere three days later.
I opened both sealed cartons up. DinoLympics was as I expected, with a loose manual, loose cartridge and loose warrantee card inside as usual. But when I opened the Pac-Land carton, everything inside (cartridge, instruction poster, and warrantee card) had been shrink wrapped into a single plastic packet (see pics attached). Not something I had seen before. And what's more, on the outside of the shrink-wrapped packet was a purple Software, Etc. price sticker ($34.99). I was amazed, and at first, a little worried. Was this a returned or damaged game that Software, Etc. had sent back to Atari that then somehow ended up being boxed up by Atari back in the day (sorry, Ferg)? No, that wasn't the case; when I opened up the packet, the instruction poster was mint (although folded in a different manner than other Lynx posters I've pulled from NIB cartons). And when I plugged the Pac-Land cart into my Lynx, it worked and played fine.
I've since been in contact with Bruce at B & C ComputerVisions about this curiosity and he is unsure how it happened. He did state that his company had purchased 20 pallets of Lynx games from Atari and that perhaps the packet from Software, Etc. somehow ended up back in Atari's inventory and then got lost/repackaged in the frenzy of Atari shutting down.
The most curious thing about this, at least to me, is why would Software, Etc. be selling a Lynx game in this way? I can understand that they may have put the game on clearance, but that's not a clearance price; $34.99 was likely the price for the game at its release.
The only other explanation I can think of is that perhaps the carton of one of the copies of Pac-Land from the stock at Software, Etc. had gotten damaged, and rather than sending it back to Atari (Atari may indeed not have been allowing returns of any damaged or unsold product from retailers by that point), Software, Etc. decided to try and sell it as is (but apparently not at a reduced price). Perhaps the packet sat in a basket at the point of sale counter or inside a display case. In any case, the packet somehow ended up back at Atari, and B & C ComputerVisions ended up with it when they bought Atari's liquidated stock. And I have it now.
Are there any former Software, Etc. (or Atari) employees here that can flesh out the details on how or why this could happen? I'd love to know the story of this little packet.

You have a Lynx II. Good. And you have two Lynx cartridges. That's good, too; Kung Food is fun for what it is, but I'm sure you've already discovered that Chip's Challenge is one of the best carts for the system. So, having said all that, you are officially a Lynxter.
I know that you will have many hours of fun with your Lynx as you build your collection. But never underestimate the power of the Lynx Community, both here on Atari Age and at AtariGamer.com; if you need game suggestions, technical help, or anything else, the Lynx Community is the best!

I picked up a Lynx, which has been on my want list for a long while, but for some reason didn't get around to it until now. I got the v1 model and the sound sure does BOOM. It doesn't seem to be working with batteries at the moment, but I will crack it open and have a look at fixing it. I do have a power adapter that is working well and I've clocked a few hours of Rampage, which is oddly addicting to me. I'm psyched.
