I don't see South Asia helping us. Fact is when does anyone outside the US ever help us. Yet we are expected to just keep going in debt to help everyone else while our people are drowning. Great philosophy. Thankfully we finally got someone who is putting America first now instead of the rest of the world.

I can add that even over here (Sweden), the US flooding is top news with multiple articles and video clips. The Asian flooding is a small notice far at the bottom of the news reporting. So even for us who are not geographically close to you, it has a much larger coverage.

As for getting help from other countries, has the US asked for help and would you accept help? I get the feeling you're so great that help would be rejected.

Because it's local. Heck I'm from Guam, and when we had major typhoons (e.g. 12 of them in 1992), that did massive damage they barely made a speck in u.s. news despite us being US soil. It is what it is.. you focus on the stuff that's close.
