  2. Hi, I've just started working through the tutorial and I'm just getting the environment setup. With the CC65 part I had to copy and paste it to the C:\Program Files it would not extract there. I have installed Visual C++ it seems to have installed ok. I downloaded the Hello World.zip to check it loaded into Visual C++ ok and it did. When I do the build I get this result, slightly different to yours, have I done something wrong? 1>------ Build started: Project: Starter, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------ 1> 1> Microsoft ® Program Maintenance Utility Version 10.00.30319.01 1> Copyright © Microsoft Corporation. 3. I think that I read somewhere that Epyx had the hardware ready in 1986. This must have also meant the Nintendo Gameboy was also ready around this time as they pitched it to them first. Why did it take Atari 3 years to bring it to the market? I firmly believe the Gameboy wasn't going to be released at £79.99 in the UK, I think the 'Handy' showcase forced Nintendo into a lower price point. I see why Epyx went to Nintendo first, had they gone Atari first who knows what may have happened, but one thing is for sure Nintendo had the heads up as to what was coming. Imagine the look on the Nintendo guys when they saw the 'Handy' in action, panic would have been an understatment, luckily they got to market first at a significantly cheaper price. The rest they say is history.
  4. I found the catalog in here, but individual pages. Thought pdf might be easier. http://atariage.com/system_catalogs.html?SystemID=LYNX Its good to be back!
  5. Hi everyone, Just a little introduction about me and my Lynx history. I bought my Atari Lynx when I was 14 years old. Bought a fair few games for it but sold it all to buy a SNES, sad day but I needed the money. Anyway its my 40th birthday next year and I wanted a present that meant something to me and reminded me of the good old days of gaming. I decided it would be an Atari Lynx but wasn't sure what I would be buying into. I found this website and forum and it has made me realise the Atari Lynx IS that present for my birthday. It holds some great memories for me much like lots of others on here. My Lynx arrived this week with a handful of games and besides testing it out to make sure it worked I've had to box it up and put it away. In the meantime I will be reading and finding out as much information as possble about the plucky little handheld. My aim is to try and get hold of the games I had when I was a little kid. I didn't own any obscure titles so this shouldn't be too much of a problem. I hope the site doesn't mind but I downloaded one of the Atari Lynx Catalogs and put it into an A5 pdf using scribus. Catalog Atari (94089-1302).pdf Thanks for taking the time to read this. Rgds BadPricey (Its my username on XBox Live, I'm not really bad )
