I ordered Krazy Ace last October and it arrived 2 weeks ago as a pcb cart whilst others received curved lip carts. I contacted Pete who said I needed to specify what type of cart I wanted. Having never seen Krazy Ace as a curved lip cart why would I have asked for that. Anyway does the rarity of Desert Strike and Double Dragon go away now there are 'new'curved lip versions? (The same for the others too). -

My Krazy Ace arrived last week, but my cart is not the curved lip version. Top of the cart says 'Long Live the Lynx' ?

Ah yes I see it, apologies. Seems weird that you would have a bit of plastic preventing the battery from touching though. The spring end should push it all the way up. That's a Duracell battery isn't it?

Take a look at the negative terminal. That should have some spring/flex in it and may be squashed. Bending it back may break it. The positive terminal looks quite normal.

Glue it with strong glue and when you put the screw back in do not over-tighten it or the inevitable will happen. Hope this helps. You may be able to get a replacement from Best Electronics for a proper fix. Rgds BadPricey

I got my copy and Desert Strike for $99 each from Video 61. Sealed curve lip etc. Had the luxury of being stung with import tax too!

Most probably the membrane is faulty. The bit between the front cover and pcb. I had a similar issue. Replacing it fixed it. Hope this helps. Rgds BadPricey

How big risk would it be to use the Atari logo on Lynx homebrew?

Too much of a risk to use their name and logo. I would go with 'IRATA' and rotate the logo 180 degrees. ? -

From memory it takes 1 shot to kill him on level one, 2 on level two and so on.

With Cali games surfing you can do quad 360's after the third or fourth treble. Just takes practice. It's surprising how unforgiving retro games are sometimes!

I felt the Lynx was a handheld arcade machine back in the day. The system was amazing then and still very playable now.

It's a real shame Epyx went to Atari for help, after trying Nintendo they should have gone to Sega. Amazing system, great early Epyx releases ultimately screwed over by Atari. I love Zarlor Mercenary, my favourite Epyx game and one of my favourite shooters. -
Some carts work, some don't. I would suggest it is cart related and not slot. Not sure how you'd clean that?

Try using an eraser. Gently rub in the directions of the contacts so not to damage them. Wipe them off after with a dry cloth towel before putting them in your Lynx. I think some have used rubbing alcohol but I haven't. Rgds BadPricey
