Not to try and bump and old thread but I have two lynx 1's and one has a half plastic metal case and the other one is full metal. The paint has scratched off in places and is shown silver metal. Will work out soon photos for you.

Hi all. Been lurking in the shadows but thought this would be a good idea to say hi too. My brother won a lynx off a radip station back in the day and used to play it to death. Litteraly as I used to have to hold the ac jack on a angle to play as it was dying on me. Anyway dont know where that went but found one with games at the local garage sale the other day and had to have it. Loving it.
