  1. That's so awesome. *sheds tear
  2. Indeed, I also enjoy seeing other collections in the collections thread. The cover project is a great place
  3. I printed the covers myself from thecoverproject. Unfortunately, the site is currently down. One of the admins by the name of Sheep201 made the manual cover: http://www.mediafire.com/view/roe3w9tkdjme1rz/[JAG]_Manuals.jpg Sounds like we had a similar original line up of games. I only just got back into playing and collecting for the Jaguar again a couple years ago. I first read about the composite cable when I saw it listed on ebay. I pulled the trigger after reading some reviews and was quite surprised to see how bad RF is in comparison when I made the swap. I relate to having seller's remorse. I have regretted selling some great classic systems and games. I plan to hang onto this one. I've considered adding to the collection, but space is an issue and I did just recently pick up Rayman which I'm happy to own. Thank you for the kind words.
  4. Edit: I should have posted this in the collection thread instead of starting a new topic. Oops. In the 90s, I got a Jaguar after owning and playing Super Nintendo for years prior. I was pretty happy with my SNES, but disappointed in its choppy, graphically watered down version of Doom and thereafter began to the question the power of my console. I was intrigued by this new genre, the first person shooter, and wanted to experience Doom as it was meant to be played. I read a few game magazines articles (or maybe it was an Atari ad) explain how the Jaguar would be able to handle the demands of a shooting game much better than the 16 bit systems I had played so far. I remember asking about the Jaguar at a large electronics store (think it was Best Buy) and the sale associate sneering, claiming that the system was not truly 64 bit. I was not swayed by his opinion and still wanted one. Once the Jaguar was in my possession, I was amazed by the smooth graphics and sound of AvP, Doom, and especially Wolfenstein 3D. For me, the controller is very comfortable and I'm still impressed by the multitude of options offered by its many buttons. People still like to rag on the Jag, but I will always appreciate it for doing something special at the time that no other console was really capable of. This is my small Jag collection. Last year, I invested in some composite cables for the system and was impressed with the improvement in audio/video quality. I also bought a cable extension for the controller, which sits in the bin underneath the system. Thank you for looking.
