  1. I don't see what difference it makes in the long run... This is from someone that owns 2/3 - PS2, and prefers Xbox. I don't have a GC because there just aren't enough games for it that excite me (Don't get that wrong, lots of them look neat enough, just not anything that makes me go omg i gotta play that!). I don't really have any "fanboyism". I prefer the Xbox mostly because of the controller and the graphics. I still pick up PS2 games rarely, tho. The only advantage I could see of M$ being ahead is cheaper/more plentiful games. If that's not the case, why is it even an arguement? Each system has some pretty amazing games really. Preferences aside, I look at games as their definition; diversion and fun. As long as the big three keep chugging ahead, each one is going to offer something, at least minorly, different... That's cause for celebration in and of itself, without arguing about which system is "better" or sells more or what not.
  2. Might still have one of these, I'll check tommorrow or Sunday when I am in town and let you know. (Have like 2 boxes of old NES stuff at my folks)
  3. So, I am considering getting my feet wet with Ebay selling, or maybe just selling everything on MB's, but I really have no idea what this stuff is worth, fairly, so would like some opinions if you guys don't mind. Odyssey: The original. Not sure if this works. Need to grab it from my folks and give it a try. It's boxed with inserts and I *think all accessories, but need to double check. Odyssey 2 : Quest for the Rings. This is CIB as far as I can tell, aside from a bit of wear on the box (and maybe a a few drops of water damage?) It's complete; including tokens that have never been punched out from their frames. Also, I have an O2 System. It doesn't work/power on. With detachable joysticks and a decent (but worn, and indented on the bottom) box. (No inserts in the box, just system sitting in it) Atari Jaguar: 2 controllers, 9 games. Tempest. AvP, Cybermorph, Cannon Fodder, Iron Soldier, Kasumi Ninja, Wolfenstein 3d, Syndicate, Raiden. A few have boxes (all worn), several have overlays and instructions, a couple have rental/used game stickers. No chips on the carts or anything tho. Whole system works good aside from occasional redscreening (have tried cleaning, so i am assuming the pins need a bit of a bend?) Atari ST: sc1224 monitor w/ box. (no manual) 1040 and a 20 meg homebuilt hardrive. Spare dattel disk drive. Everything works and is in great condition, ST even has it's dust cover. Vic-20 - Commodore Vic-20 with box and manual (no inserts in box) works, but the rf adaptor/switch SUCKS imo lol (BAD picture). 6 tapes for personal finace manager, but no tape drive (but the book for tape drive hehe)Bunch of atari carts w/ boxes: Galaxian, Ms Pacman, Pole Position, Jungle Hunt, Centipede... also all loose: Avenger, Jupiter Lander, Gorf, Radar Ratrace,Pirate's Cove, Mole Attack, Raid on Fort Knox, Cosmic Cruncher, Omega Race, Adventure Land. Like I said at the beginning, only considering selling. Basically, I would like to keep this stuff; because of space it's not set up right now, but some are things I have had for years, so please, don't make offers or what not (if I decide to sell, I will post pics and fuller descriptions). Basically, I would just like a fair idea of what I could expect to get if I DID wanna sell, since everyone here seems to know what they are talking about and not take advantage of folks intentionally. Thanks very much in advance for your time and thoughts!
  4. LOL. Well as long as someone thinks it's stylish
  5. susuwatari - Sunnydale is that wonderful town in California that Buffy the Vampie Slayer lives. (ya know, the one with a hellmouth and all LOL) This joystick seems like a good deal tho; the from a ficitious place, the time travel... what a conversation piece!
  6. Good luck, man. Hope you get your game or your $$$ back... Every day I am given less and less incentive to actually even LOOK at ebay, let alone buy anything from there
  7. I loved the demo of this in OXM from several months back, but my local BBV has NEVER had any in stock to rent... and it's dropped 20$ in that time period, so I suppose if I keep waiting, in enough time, M$ will send me a free copy
  8. I didn't know dom was wine thought it was champagne.... Funny story tho, if it's factual and not as you go drama on the fly
  9. I have read thru this site before. (probably link from here? it was months ago) Still hilarious to browse tho
  10. I really miss 2-d games. So much so that I rushed out and got the newest OXM to try out the metal slug demo hehe. I wish folks wouldn't discriminate tho based on that; 2-d games can be good. 3-d games can be good (and make me a lil dizzy the longer I play depending on the camera!) but graphics do not equate to gameplay.
  11. I am pretty sure Steel Battalion was "reissued" when Line of Contact was released - identical to the first release(supposedly) in every regard and available new for the substantial 200$ pricetag (with controller). Best Buy, Gamestop, EBgames, lots of places online listed it (not to mention ordering it direct) and that was only a month or so ago? I know I saw one in a Tucson Gamestop in April(new) - because i was actually tempted
  12. This might sound like a stupid question but keep in mind this is from someone who has never played ANY version of Metal Slug: Is this game one player or two player co-op? (The reason I ask is, the blurb on Gamestop.com says something about it taking the gameplay invented in Contra to the ultimate level)
  13. After taking a bit of time off from renting or buying, the games I have been playing this month are simple: (All on XBOX btw) 1) Red Dead Revolver - Was fun, glad it was a rental since only 10 hours to finish. But if you are a westerns fan, you would probably dig playing this (also important to note, I SUCK at most modern video games, and did ok at this at normal settting) 2) Starsky and Hutch - My wife and I are only into the second season but it's alot of fun with the gun and wheel. Repetitive, but amusing enough you don't mind so much. 3) Dungeons and Dragons Heroes - Wife got this for me for anniversary. It was good fun and wish I would have picked it up sooner even tho it was short. 4) House of the Dead III - Got this and a lightgun for my OWN anniversary present. Sadly, I keep playing it. (Kept hearing that it had no replay value; I sit down and start and end up finishing in a 25 mins or so and have a blast) 5) Halo. Ok. So having a XBOX for 6 months I always forgot to try this. Local BB finally got it and this weekend when bestbuy has it for 25$ I am gonna pick it up.
  14. Right now I only have a few: X-Box PS2 Genesis Jaguar NES Vic-20 (working but not hooked to a tv atm - i list this as a game machine because that's all i use it for when I hook it up, bunch of old carts for it, my favorite is still gorf haha) Odyessey II (non working ) Odyesesy I ( the old old one with the high tech pong graphics and screen covers, havn't checked it in a while but it worked years ago) Eventually I'd like to pick up a Jag CD, and maybe a Dreamcast at some point. But since I am more a game player than collector, I don't really like having someone not hooked up, so I limit my hardware purchases hehe.
