  1. Everyone gets to see it on the same date. And the 3rd doom is called Final Doom. Here is a pic of it *Note the graphics look like the doom we know. And below is Doom 3.
  2. That Would Be Graeme From Asia Folks. A great customer and now friend. NO B.S. Here guys. And NO, "virgin only". I'm NOT B. RAD, I can't cherry pick my repairs.
  3. Here is the pic of the one I have and I like it. Movement is better than any of the stock controllers I have and the the dome and stick for the d-pad do actually come in handy depending on the game.
  4. If you want a great controller for Jag that is not stock then what you want to buy is called Boomarang or Boomerang (can't remember which spelling). It looks damn near Identical to a sega genisis control and is the only 3rd party control that was licsened by Atari. I have one, good controller. Boomarange controllers were made for many systems so when you find one, make sure its for the Jag. Hope that helps -Nick.
  5. I know the fix for the Click drives, its a wiring or trace issue if I remember correctly. Just PM me when you are ready.
  6. No Problem Saturn, just let me know if you find it. Guys, my "day job" work has been hectic so I apologizes for delays in responses but I am still here and yes, still doing as much Atari work as possible. Ohh yeah, and this is important: I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF IT'S NOT A VIRGIN (unopened) CD UNIT. Just please don't send me a known irreparable turd and we'll be fine. Just though i'd mention that to everyone.
  7. Hello All, I am now offering Jaguar CD unit repair service as well as the Jag console repair. Much like the console repair, if its unsuccessful for any reason you will get a partial refund. The price is set at $55 for AA members, (my price on eBay is $75) this includes parts and return shipping within the states. For international shipping, please let me know upfront and we can work something out on that. Of course I have Cd laser assemblies and the board components to fix the "?" screen and the "red screen" units. If the repair is unsuccessful I will refund $35 of the $55 and the remaining funds will be used for return shipping of your item(s). If you need this service please feel free to PM me here on AtariAge or email me direct at ncc941@mail.com. I would strongly recommend using both means of contact. Thanks, Nick -onalok.
  8. Yeah Guys, I got this fellows system now, and it works. I'll be sending it back to him with a 250v to 110v power converter and another jag power adapter. Im sure his psu is dead being as how he put a Asian power plug adapter (NOT Converter, in any way) on the end of his oem jag power supply and plugged it in the wall at 250 volts. Lucky it never made it passed the psu. His Jag actually works flawlessly and i've told him that along what i'll be sending. I'm charging him a whopping whole $35 plus return shipping for the power converted and psu. I think that more than fair.
  9. If that is the one that went for $30 on ebay, I actually wanted that and missed the bidding window while at work. I will gladly trade you a stock Jag for it if you want. You can PM me herer or email me ncc941@mail.com or onalok on ebay. Thanks, Nick -Onalok.
  10. Price Ajustment: Now $33 for AA members with $23 refunded if unsuccessful, remaining $10 used for return shipping of unit. I paid $500 US for the hot air station and its well worth it. The crappy $100 ones never get hot enough. I can actually change out Tom and Jerry if I want to and do reflows and other boards/devices as well. Some Jags will be dead completely, it depends on how high of amp/wattage the incorrect power supply is that was used HOWEVER, thanks for the advice, I will now get the chips from console 5. Thanks guys, and if anyone needs reflows or something along those lines, just let me know.
  11. Hello all, I am now offering repair service for the dreaded blown u38 doa Jaguars. This is the number one cause of "no power" on Jag's. Thanks to very good (and a bit expensive) rework equipment (hot air station) I am currently having about a 50% success rate of repairing consoles with blown u38 ic's. I am offering the service for $40 here on AA (will be $50 on ebay) and that includes return shipping. The u38 costs me $9.99 from BEST and are "new, old stock" as some of you may know. Capacitor and a few other parts can be added if needed to the repair for an extra $5. You will be notified if such is needed for your system. I will be contacting BEST today to notify them of the specs for this repair because I know they have never had success with this and they are my parts supplier so, they get to know and it should make all of you feel a little better about this. If the repair is un-successful, you will be refunded $30 of the amount and the remaining $10 will be used to return your console. Feel free to contact me here via PM or email me at ncc941@mail.com. I think this is a fair price for the service being as how good SMT equipment costs are not cheap. Thanks, Nicholas Coale -onalok.
  12. I'd like to buy one as well. Can someone post the info to purchase please. Thanks.
  13. Hey, just reading about the physical release, are they made yet or are they still available? I am interested but I can't read through 17 pages at this current moment. Thanks in advance for letting me know.
  14. Got my tracking number today, its on the way.

    Doom 2

The object processor basically, well it allows multiple instruction to be on one line thus using less (or the same) amount of space in ram. I hope i'm explaining this well enough, although i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm not. lol. And yes, after the initial load of each level, it will be running on-the-fly. That is what I meant by closely matching the transfer from the cd-rom. And yes its possible, one of the big concerns at Atari during the cd-rom development was for it to have the ability to load on the fly. I hope this answers your questions and thanks for your interest in my project. I do have a "day job" so replies may lag sometimes. Feel free write/ask as you wish.

    Doom 2

Yes, It's for real. To answer your question, Yes, It will be new new rom modeled after the jag doom for compatibility but allowing for new features such as guns, enemies and in-game music. As far as performance, "aiming for the moon", The odd(but cool) object processor will be taken advantage of as much as possible due to the systems low ram. One of my main concerns is pulling off the transfer from the cd without the game constantly giving a "load" screen during play of any given level. I will have to match the the ram usage with the read speed of the cd-rom closely because the levels themselves (each level) will be larger than 2mb. IN game "lock" for a few seconds and then the game resuming play as normal is a major concern.

    Doom 2

Well, a Doom 3 (doom3 to doom 2 assets) for Jag is being attempted. It will be CD based and have new maps, assets, and in-game music from the original 3DO doom soundtrack. I have listed this under jag homebrews. Atlantis may possibly be referring to me. Target time frame Is anything less than 5 years, I would love to say 18 months but we'll see. Yes, real time video of it running on a Jag (jag and TV in video at same time) will be uploaded as its made.

  19. TO ALL THAT NEED A SKUNK BOARD: Use the message system here on Atari age and send a private message to member: willyvmm and tell him you need one (or the quantity you need, I don't know the limit) and that you want to be added to the list for the next run of them being made. Yes there is a new run AGAIN of silly venture skunk boards. I know this because I am on the waiting list. I have a rev.3 now but its always good to have a few extras of those. I don't know if the list is full but I assume it isn't. Cost went up a little I think but even at $120-$150 it's cheap compared to eBay. Expect to wait AT LEAST a few days before you get a reply for him. Hope That Helps, later.
  20. I'll email him in a few. Thanks guys, He'll send it, just a question of when. lol.
  21. Yes, that would be the idea. Actual real footage of a jag running it on a 4k lcd. I have the scart cable and scart to hdmi so that is possible to display my jag in 1080p. Or a a bunch of other res's, for movie like stuff or cinepak I usually use 800x600. But yes, once I have enough done to record it, I will.
  22. I agree with that, I have sent a couple emails already but I don't want to pester the guy to death either. I'm sure it will arrive at some point soon or he will contact me and let me know what is going on.
