  1. Working on a Polybius arcade cabinet build. Got a custom game for it.

  2. I'd say you're fine with making the port. It's more of a forgotten title (even though it's loved by us). Nothing would really happen. Also, the port sounds really cool. I played Space Zap so much in the arcades.
  3. Those trees from Crystal Castles really annoy me. Those Quarks from Robotron always lost a life due to them before. The fish from Jumpbug. The opposing car from Dodge'em. Seriously, how could you NOT hate that thing?
  4. I didn't touch anything. It just sort of happened. By the way that is the only problem with it. The head works, all the mechanics are in good shape and working. It may just be a bad connection, or a cap, like you said. I'll look into it later, thanks!
  5. Thanks, I appreciate the help! Yeah, it's direct output. You might be right be right about the power being incorrect.
  6. Now, I know this is an interesting question for a topic of this category. But, I do not know which category this topic would fit into. So, with that being said, I will state my issue. I have a Panasonic Omnimovie VHS Recorder. It is dated September of 1985. (see picture) It worked well (with the exception of the battery) However, recently the picture has become scrambled, much like when you turn on an Atari 2600 attempting to a dusty game. (see picture) I don't really know how to fix something like this. At first I thought it was the tracking, but I was wrong. Does anyone have a solution? I appreciate all your help and anything you can provide. Thanks! Here's the camera. This is the current output the camera is projecting. Also, If there is a better category for my post, I would love this topic to be bumped. All in all, this is weird topic for Atariage, anyway.
  7. Looping is a pretty interesting, difficult game. When I went to ACAM this summer, I saw someone put a credit on game but left without staring the game, so I played it. Sky Bumper is bit more complex.
  8. Popeye-Pacman? Wow, someone was definitely taking large amounts of drugs for something like this to appear. Strangely enough I kind of want one of these cabinets. But chances are it's not going to happen, but a cabinet exists! Take a look:
  9. I agree with that, I was playing Jump Bug recently at Funspot and was thinking about how this would fit in to the 2600, There's about 6 scenes in the game, and multiple objects that are being used in this game all at once (The VW Bug, The Jokers, Money Bags, etc.) So, I am going to keep planning this out and when I think I can take on the task, I will begin programming the game. Oh, I feel silly, there's 8 scenes in Jump Bug. I don't know why I said 6.
  10. Hyped up to go to Funspot this week!

  11. One of my favorite arcade games is Jump Bug. A wacky game where you play as VW bug bouncing on buildings collecting money bags and diamonds, etc. I love everything about this game, the sounds the gameplay, everything! And I always thought it would be great on the 2600, but is it possible? I would take on the task of designing the game myself, but I only a novice programmer. What do you guys think? It sounds like a great idea.
  12. Stellar Track is a pretty interesting game. I think it's an okay game for it's time. I can see how kids back in the early 80s would be boring to them because it's all text and no action. But I can respect it for what it is.
  13. Whoops.. uh... looks like all I needed was the 'switchreset' function. All good now..
  14. Hi, I'm new to the Visual bB coding language and wondered how to code for the reset switch. Much like in most early Atari 2600 titles, you had to slide the reset switch down to start a game. I've tried joy0fire and while that does work, my character (which is a space craft, seeing as this game is in the space shooter genre) will also fire a bullet just as soon as a game starts, so I wondered of there was a way to work around that. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
  15. This is exactly how I pictured Rally-X would look on the 2600. Graphics and Gameplay are a charm! I would definitely buy one of these. Great work, Ed. P.S. I love the traditional silver label the best, following that would be the blue label.
