My Medieval Mayham PAL works fine on the 2600+ and looks like on original HW. Did not really compare the colors, as for such game it doesn't matter to me.

If yours does not work, try cleaning it and when Loading fails, move or lift it a bit in the slot.

My slot does not like my Juno first PAL60, even it works for others. Would buy a new NTSC one but it is not in the store anymore.

About PAL games beeing too dark and looking ugly:

I know, the PAL Version of Battlezone always had less details and Enduro was not so pretty even on original HW.

But Pole Position loooked much better on original HW, I could see the Tires. I adjusted the TV but it improves not much.

So the 2600+ seems to give a darker output which harms a few 2600 games

To get the best 7800 PALs working like Commando bothers me more...

    Thanks, will try that.

Yes, they did. To be fair this was known here in the forum early on. All new game cartridges are ntsc. People asked to clarify this in the product details for the pal region.

You still can use it in your new atari+ 8)

When you buy the paddle set in PAL-land (maybe to use them on your old pal atari) you get the ntsc games as well. Not good.

Ben, from plaion said you could exchange cards (ntsc for pal) by sending your cartridge to him...

    How can I contact Ben?

  3. I experience wrong colors with nearly all of my PAL 50 and 60 Hz Homebrews (even around 20 year old ones) if the Emulator does not auto-detect them right.

My PAL Versions of games like Princess-Rescue, Halo, Pac-Man 4K and many more are off color. One of my favorite games, Medieval Mayhem PAL does not work at all ... :(

Hope the firmware gets an update for that soon.

  4. I finally got mine a few days ago. Seems that it already got a growing fan base even here in europe.

I assume it will be available in great numbers at ejagfest 2023. ^^

Maybe this is a carrot to see you again in person @justclaws at ejagfest. ;)

Got mine from ebay.com for way too much money. It's the onyx all in bundle. And I'm based in Germany.

it's only 4 more weeks. I'm really looking forward to see you there.

If anyone wants to show anything there or just want to reserve a table, please let me know.

Looks like at some people could helt a j-jagfest this weekend. @CD-i and some others are going to Japan around this time as well.  You all should meet and take a photo together. Would be fun!

For any questions regarding the event, just let me know!

  6. The European Atari Jaguar Festival, “ejagfest” in short, will take place on November 3rd and 4th 2018 in Korschenbroich (between Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach), Germany. We celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Atari Jaguar this year which has been released in 1993 in the USA.

The European Atari Jaguar Festival is a noncommercial annual festival for all Atari and retro gaming fans from all over Europe. It was established in year 2000 and the focus of attention is on Atari and all systems of the cult lable. But we don’t want to miss other retro-systems, as well. The more exotic, the better. The motto is: Bring your favorite retro console and have fun!

All of you who would like to play again on systems like the Jaguar, Lynx, VCS 2600, 5200, 7800 or on a trusty home-computer of the 70s, 80s or 90s, this is the right place.

  7. Thanks Peter for the kind words.

Its great fun, year by year. Cool to see how many new things the people bring to the show.

Thanks to Jeffrey Bones and Nick for bringing Zombies on the Jaguar to the ejagfest. I really like the ejagfest Screen at start ;)

    Play Jaguar like its 1994!
