  1. Giving another go of Kingdoms of Amalur a run (original Xbox 360 version).

  2. Wow. I've been on this site (and around this site) for almost 20 years. Now THAT's staying power!

      @PacManPlus Thanks! Same to you.

  3. My Atari 2600 called to me last night, and I answered...

I suddenly want to know more...What did ya play?  Ms. Pacman?  Pitfall?  Demon Attack?

      Unbeliever

I answered with some rousing games of Ms. Pacman, and several exciting rounds of Missile Command...then topped the evening off with Phoenix. It was a good night...

  4. Back into Diablo III again, most likely due to the remake of Diablo II coming out and Diablo IV on the horizon.

Well, Diablo III would be considered "simple" I suppose, from what I've read. Treading into battle seems like you take very little damage and kill everything that moves. I'm not sure if others have had this experience, but last night when I played (on normal), it seemed harder. Maybe the last update balanced this more? It feels more in line with Diablo II now versus what it was a few months ago. I was actually having a struggle taking down some enemies, even "normal" ones. I was ecstatic about it, actually! :D Maybe it was my imagination, but it played more like Diablo II.

@Unbeliever there is literally no cap on difficulty level, so you can certainly take a ton of damage. At higher levels, my Demon Hunter gets one-shotted quite frequently.

That's good to know. I guess I've just been playing it safe. Time for that to end. Then here comes the complaining that I keep getting killed!

  5. New game: Space Crew!

Sequel to Bomber Crew, which I heard was an excellent game.

  6. Welp, 12,200 on my latest arcade score of Wizard of Wor. My reaction time is way off. The computer scored 16,500. :(

Very easy, I'm afraid. When the monsters start whipping around, my pulse goes way up. lol

  7. Still loving the original Berzerk on the Atari 2600, not the voice enhanced! This game has it's own unique charm.

      jaybird3rd

There's something cathartic about endlessly blasting robots.  I like the aesthetic of Berzerk, too, both on the Atari 2600 and 800/5200; I find the dark background, stark colors, and sparse sound effects to be very absorbing.

Yeah.  Doomsday scenario is the ticket.  I may die, but I will take some of 'em with me!

So much fun (and failure) trying to pull off the "robot shoots through the no-neck" human trick. Sometimes I get lucky...

  8. Recently got 65,000 on Video Pinball for the Atari 2600. First play on that game in a long while.

  9. Happy Thanksgiving, welcome Black Friday. :)

  10. Picked up and is currently playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf on my 3DS XL. Still a great game, relaxing, and just the perfect remedy for stress right now.

  11. Just started collecting for the 3DS. Looking forward to a colorful library of games!

  12. Stargate...incredible game for the Atari 2600!

I was very impressed as well.  Everything Defender should have been on the Atari 2600.

    2. Cobra Kai

      Cobra Kai

That's one of those games that I was always jealous a friend had and I didn't.

  13. The more I see the new next generation consoles, the more I love my Atari 2600.

New consoles are just too much of a hassle anymore. With confidence I can say that the Amico is going to be the last for me. Modern console that is.  :P

Phoenix, Amico, Evercade, Turbografx Mini, NT Mini Noir...These are "Modern Consoles" to me!

I'm just losing interest. My Xbox One S is more for media these days than game playing. Maybe being home all this time from being furloughed has changed me, but I seem to appreciate the simpler consoles more than ever.

  14. Gotten back into the Atari 2600 and spiffied up my old lite sixer , and still works great!

There's nothing like going back to a gaming system that has stood the test of time. It's always been my first and favorite experience into the gaming world. :)

  15. Great to be back. :) Gone back to my roots with my Atari 2600 and all the games I loved as a kid.

Gotta agree. Like most people, I resist change, and I didn't care for it at first. But it has really grown on me and I can barely remember what the old site was like.

I agree. I've forgotten the old system, but it's been awhile since I've been here.

  17. Well, I'm back. Did anyone notice I was gone?

  18. Damn...Dead Space still scares the crap outta me!

    1. Skippy B. Coyote

      Skippy B. Coyote

No kidding! I just started playing the original Dead Space for the first time last week and it's pretty terrifying. Horror games don't usually make me feel uneasy while playing them but Dead Space is something special.

    2. Skippy B. Coyote

      Skippy B. Coyote

I will add though that at this point I'm about 2/3 of the way through the game and it is getting REALLY repetitive. I'll still see it through to the end, but I do like Dead Space: Extraction on the Wii more for focusing on the scares and action and doing away with the endless fetch quests.

    3. Rick Dangerous

      Rick Dangerous

Need to get it for PS3. I though Dead Space: Extraction for the Wii was pretty damn good too!

  19. Playing the Raspberry Pi and my Xbox One quite a bit lately.

Two decades from now: Run an emulator for Pi itself through your bioport.

  20. Super Mario Bros. for the NES looks GREAT on a 32" flat screen!

  21. Skyrim: Special Edition on my Xbox One is dominating my gaming life at the moment. Running tons of mods and having a pretty immersive experience.

The Wii Sports games are great. The Sonic Games available on Wii are pretty good (Secret Rings has really poor motion controls though.) Namco Museum is good too.

Bowling, Boxing, and Baseball on Wii Sports were the best!
