  1. All four (inc. AvP and Daemonsgate) are posted in the marketplace.
  2. I have one working Flash cart, and have bought 3 in the past which failed. One is in the USA for possible repair, one on loan, and one sitting dead here, hoping the repair in USA eventually works out for it as well. If I had more than one working unit and a serious prospect that my loan of a Flash cart would not be just sending it away for no benefit, then I'd definitely cooperate here. Curt has published Flash cart diagrams I think. As it is with only one working unit, which I paid >$200+ for, (compared to $350 for the first which was DOA from Best,) and $300 for the 2nd, I can assure you that I am not rich enough to buy another or lose $200. Are they still interested though? Regards, JustClaws. If enough people would buy it, they'll make it. I've already been through that with them about a year and a half ago. Start a dialogue with them and see how far you can get. Someone's gotta be wanting to take the torch from me. - G
  3. Available until next Saturday, then they're going back in the collection or possibly eBay. Depends what kind of mood I'm in.
  4. The Warbirds and Lemmings prototypes are now up for sale in the marketplace.
  5. I'm accepting offers on a Atari Lynx prototype I picked up from an ex-Atari employee a year and a half ago or so. As I'm paring down my collection a bit and simply haven't had time for it all, I've hesitantly decided to let the following title -- tested and working wonderfully -- go: Daemonsgate 1992 CES Prototype - NOT the same as B&C - $350 Pictures >> Please PM if interested. I accept Paypal, and will ship insured anywhere in the world that the USPS delivers. References are, of course, available if you should want them. x-posted at several forums
  6. Nope. I've tried to facilitate production of one c/o Tototek.com, but things puttered out as nobody helped me aggregate the necessary docs/info. The folks at Tototek were willing to give it a go, though; they make flash carts for about 6-7 other systems already and the build quality of my Genesis flash cart is awesome. They also get frequent requests for a Lynx version, but since the people hanging out there are mostly game collectors/players for Japanese consoles, they don't have people like those here at AA to give them access to documentation for that system either. Basically, to start, they need any applicable schematics/docs available and at least one working system unit to test with. Since they're in Hong Kong (IIRC), it's not like they have Atari systems floating around willy-nilly. So that's another problem. So, if anyone were feeling up to working one out, those would be the people to talk to -- and they're nice people to deal with. I have an original Atari Jaguar flash cart now, so I'm not in any hurry to try again like I was before. Maybe someone here will be ambitious enough to open the lines and get something going again.
  7. Size. Atari was so small even then, that even marginal sales could have helped keep them alive even longer. I used to communicate with Don Thomas back in those days, and the company was many, many factors smaller than the competition (employee count, etc).
  8. I've thrown this video over to ASSEMblerGames.com, where there are quite a few Japanese speakers. I'm pretty sure the Jaguar dude is a Japanese glam rocker and not from a videogame.
  9. American videogame systems have never been adopted en masse in Japan. From the Atari 2800 through today. Never. Ever. ...and likely never will. Looking at the week-to-week sales numbers for the original Xbox and X360, even with some decent titles, both have flopped miserably. It's a one-way street as far as consoles go, and that's Japan -> America, never vice versa. Even American games ported onto Japanese game consoles tend to fare poorly.
  10. Back when I reserved my system at launch, I was into the system as a "new dawn for Atari", who'd been the best at games in my opinion in general up to that point. I ended up with the #48 system delivered to Colorado in late 1993, purchased at Horizon Computers (an exclusively Atari dealer) in Denver. Today, I see it as a system that could have been much more than it was, but I still enjoy many of the games nonetheless. It had many endearing titles to its credit, despite having its share of stinkers. It's also the only system I'll never get rid of -- my mother purchased the system as a Christmas present for me when we were relatively poor, and I still have that same unit to this day. The first I'd bought (the reserved one) was stolen in mid-1994, so I had to go without for a while until my mother surprised me with the new one, which I still have to this day. There's a very personal connection for me to the Jaguar that transcends titles, specs, etc.
  11. Make no mistake, there are some _real_ stinkers among the collection. I have every released game (and then some) for the Jaguar from the start in late '93 through Telegames' version of Worms in 96-97, and I can't say with a straight face that it had the best good-to-bad ratio of the generation by any stretch. That said, I have my 15-20 games I play often still (not including my protos and such), but the rest see little-to-no play anymore.
  12. The funniest part about J2Games' release is that I owned that one a few years ago before selling it to Adol, who then appears to have sold it to J2Games. And J2Games is located only 10mi away from me, if that. Congrats on the release! (Still buying SegaCD/MegaCD protos, btw...unreleased or not!)
  13. Weird, but not a surprise. I have an Iron Soldier proto that also had a faulty cart. After moving the EEPROMs to another board it worked flawlessly. I can vouch that the EEPROMs are pretty resilient; my Ultra Vortek proto never had its windows covered in the 10-12 years that the ex-Atari gametester who sold it to me owned it for. Still works great though (and I've since covered the windows).
  14. I get this strange feeling that's a custom job by the seller.
  15. Primal Rage is definitely one of my favorite JagCDs, despite the loading times. Disregarding those, you had a pretty excellent port of the arcade version there. I still play it often enough.
  16. Added price for Super Famicom, Strikers 1945 disc, cleared sold items. Bump! ALL sold items that have been paid for will ship tomorrow (Saturday, Feb 18th).
  17. Will be responding to PMs tonight. Lots of interest going on, so I've got a bit to go through and my wife's monopolizing the daytime hours. Thanks for all the interest.
  18. I'm trying to keep my concentration on the systems I actively collect for, so it's time to offload some some extras and other odds and ends (with some surprises thrown in there): Mega CD (JPN): All are sans spine cards, otherwise "complete". I check my PM's quite a bit so feel free to shoot any correspondence there. My ebay username is "vanadium_77". Done deals with Jay Smith (the Jaguar man) and many, many others over the last decade on the 'net, including folks @ ASSEMBler Games, JSII, AtariAge, and here (with Canadianzombie). Thanks for looking!
  19. I can vouch for how good this game is since I've owned it before. If you don't have it and love the gameplay of Defender, you're really missing out if you don't get in on this. I sold my first copy long ago and regretted it. :/
  20. Yes. I'll take one in the next couple of months, guaranteed. (With any luck, I'll be taking a couple of others as well. )
  21. Holy flippin' crap @ this thread. You know, I'm not going to go overboard and say I'm ready to sell off my Jaguar collection or anything -- as a system and its games and/or history are not inextricably tied to the demeanor of its fans obviously -- but this feuding is really putting a damper on my excitement for the community. 3DS, good luck to getting the kinks worked out for your release. I hope luck bends your way.
