  1. The PS/2 Port is only a single PS/2 implementation so splitters will not work.
  2. Thanks for an enjoyable season. I really thought the last few weeks, Dugger was going to catch up to me as there were a lot of games that I hadn't played much. There were a lot of good scores this year from everyone.
  3. Only issue is You might need a common ground. I haven't looked over the schematics in detail. The steering wheel doesn't need it as it can be powered from batteries.
  4. Hi NCG, It looks like my scores from this morning didn't get entered in the results. Thanks,
  5. There are plans and things we can only announce when they are official. The new enhanced sound chip is still part of the project.
  6. There are still plans to support other consoles, just not at launch.
  7. If you are interested in a joystick controller you should check out Edladdin's super cv controllers. I hear they are really nice. https://edladdin.com/Super-CV-ec-1-005.htm Although nothing has been finalized, the idea was to do a gamepad style controller that will work on the original system as well. The controller would not be part of the system. It would just be a new product that is made available after the system is taken care of.
  8. You will be able to use a standard SNES controller. Numbers can be entered with key combinations, so a regular controller is not necessary.
  9. Just a quick Update that people will be interested in: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/265958-collectorvision-game-system/page-27?do=findComment&comment=4091843 https://collectorvision.com/shop/colecovision/colecovision-hd-system/ Expect some other big announcements soon
  10. Just a quick update: We have a good time at Game On Expo showing off the new system prototype. We have decided to not to do the License agreement with Coleco Holdings, so this will not be an officially licensed Colecovision product. We have now settled on the Collectorvision Phoenix name for the system. You can see an update on our page: https://collectorvision.com/shop/colecovision/colecovision-hd-system/ There will be a lot of other big new coming soon
  11. New Sound functionality for the system: The Collectorvision FPGA video game system will support new custom audio chip. The SEX7289 "COURTNEY" Wavetable Sound Generator (WSG) is an new custom sound chip which can produce a rich plurality of sounds with minimal intervention of the CPU. COURTNEY implements 2 operating modes. A native mode which features wavetable synthesis, the same sound technology of the Konami SCC, Namco Pac-Man, NEC PC Engine and Waldorf PPG Wave, and a legacy mode which is 100% compatible with the AY-3-8913. COURTNEY's register-based interface is based on the AY-3-891x series, allowing direct binary-level compatibility with that series, and facilitating the support of the new features to the programmer. Native mode also adds extended parameter ranges such as full 8-bit noise frequency (for more dramatic explosions), stereo positioning and a direct DAC mode, allowing clean, single channel 8-bit PCM sample replay without having to combine all 3 channels in a complex manner. The native mode also allows better lo-fi speech synthesis and digital audio -using technologies such as Wyz's ISR sample replay- by employing pure harmonic-free sine waves instead of square waves. Detailed documents and instructions will be available later for developers to add support for the new sound chip. Functionality will also be added to the Lilith Emulator so that Courtney and F18a features can be tested prior to development or beta system release.
  12. Defender: 1,064,650 I don't know how someone could play long enough to get to 9M. My hand is killing me after 1M.
  13. There are 2 options for this. There will be an analog video and audio expansion that can provide analog audio. You could also get a HDMI audio extractor.
  14. We do plan to officially license HDMI for the project. As far as the resolution goes, currently it is 640 x 480 (the same as the F18a output). It might be possible to do 720 with the hardware, but we would need to figure out the best way to scale it to fit.
  15. There are a couple reasons: Most people don't have $1000 lying around to buy a NT mini on Ebay. There are not any that play actual cartridges or use cv controllers (except for Kevtris who has a cartridge adapter or emulation systems) Not all homebrew games play on the NT mini colecovision core A lot of colecovision hardware is failing and it is getting harder to find working systems. and just because it launches with only colecovision support doesn't mean that it will only support colecovision.
  16. Which game wasn't licensed? I would think for something as prominent as the colecovision flashback that it would have been done properly. If it wasn't then I am surprised the copyright holder didn't resolve the issue with ATGames.
  17. That would be part of the licensing agreement with coleco. Coleco claims ownership of the games as demonstrated in the license to the ATgames Colecovision flashback.
  18. I'm not sure about Mecha 9, but Mecha 8 was working on my F18a system with SGM. Maybe it is a board revision thing. At the same time a couple other people had the issue so i guess it just depends on if you feel lucky. Although that does remind me of an issue with sydney hunter giving a black screen and not working with the SGM plugged in.
  19. Hold down reset when you power the system on. It will take you to the F18a splash screen. Old versions didn't have the version display on powerup in the corner
