Suppose you're making a Time Machine; What would you prefer? A DeLorean, a Time Tunnel, a 1960's British police box, A duffel bag, an 1870's sleigh with all kinds of whirling gizmos, or a hot tub?

Speaking of time travel devices, I just remembered that Find me in Paris uses clocks (which probably is rather straightforward for time travel).
Also this year's julkalender in Sweden (daily Christmas TV series calendar) is called Mirakel and tells the story how two tween girls swap places, 100 years apart. The cause for that is an engineered black hole that came loose and installed itself into the antic of an old house where they both live. They only swap minds though, the bodies remain in respective era.

OK I'm getting freakin pissed at Firefox! It seems to have disabled my adblocker, Webroot (filtering extensions), and Yahoo Homepage (though it still works) claiming they "Could not be verified for use".

Does your phone identify music? Or does GOOGLE "Search a Song" just instantly say "UNABLE TO FIND A MATCH" (Try Again) ?
Mine does that. And NO, restarting the Phone doesn't do anything...
Maybe AI IS REAL!
My Phone used to try....But I stumped it so much it has given up hope!

Americanized Mexican Fast Food? We know it's not the same but...Still good if you're in the mood...Actually one of my Favorite places here is like a Mexican food greasy spoon (if you will) called Rolando's (well there's 2 the other one is Rudolpho's)...They mostly speak Spanish and I really like their guac and chips, and cheese fries, and chile rellenos...Probably because they're cheap with giant portions and they're open 24 hours!

While I was hoping for something more off the wall, it was a fun mystery. Today I looked in the box and also found Reactor, Spiderman, and Empire; Complete with labels! I already had Empire (boxed) and from BITD I have Super Cobra and Amidar...Recently bought SW:TAG and Montezuma's Revenge of ebay...And an untested Frogger with label is in another lot of games I got...

South Park got me thinking. Did you guys read "banned" books for high school? We read The Catcher in the Rye, Huck Finn, This Perfect Day and 1984...That's off the top of my head...

Reading this book and one character tells another that the 80s show Joanie Loves Chachi was Huge in Korea because Chachi means penis in Korean.
No idea if that's true, by the way...

Re: Phantasm I think the first one as a self contained movie is just Awesome! But I like the ideas so much that I enjoyed the sequels too, Esp. Ravager (If you've ever read behind the scenes about it) as it's a small miracle that it even got made, and it wraps things up nicely with interdimensional explanations.

Remember this? Ya hop in your muscle car to go to one of the dozens of video rental places. Don't forget your membership card. Pick 2 or 3 movies out, and if you're feeling frisky, rent one of their VCRs too. Now you can dub these uncensored movies onto your own blank VHS tape (SP, LP, or SLP). Now you're buckin' the system! You can watch YOR: Hunter from the Future anytime you want! Even if there's nothing on TV but boring soap operas.

So what music do you guys have going in the background today? Relaxing music for Spas and massage? 80's hits? Some nice Punk Rock? Funky 70's sitcom soundtracks? Maybe some pure Heavy Metal? Classic Rock? Electro? Goth?

Got a TeleMarketer call yesterday. She kept going on and on, so I said, "Shut up! Listen!...My friend just arrived...I gotta go! He's an astronaut and he's on his Launch Break!"

I remember playing cowboys and indians with my cousins when I was probably 6 or 7 years old, and the indians always won on account of us taking the suction cups off the ends of the arrows and sharpening the wooden shaft in a pencil sharpener. XD And yeah, I ate tons of those candy cigarettes as a kid! I liked the Target brand ones, which tasted oddly like Pepto-Bismol but in a good way.

When I was a kid I had this pinball machine. It was It was maybe 3-4 feet long or so, elevated about 4-6 inches above the ground, had what looked like 3/4 scale balls, but it had Real Bumpers and Real Flippers. The bumpers lit up when hit, too. Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called. Once, I got a ball forever stuck under the rubber band triangle and the company sent me a free 5 pack of balls. It seemed a lot cooler than all the toy pinballs ya can buy now, and was almost like the real thing. And I've never seen one on eBay, but like I say I can't remember what it was called, or the company that made it. (Kinda wish I still had it)...

Things can all but disappear from human consciousness...for example, in 1984 for a period of about 12 minutes I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to see Streets of Fire. And nobody has really thought about that movie since 1984. Until right now.

"The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades" by Timbuk3 stuck out in my head because they supposedly used an Amiga computer to make some of the stuff in the video:
It also sticks out because it was used in various movies as a happy future fun time song when it was really about the upcoming nuclear holocaust:
