  1. Here's my latest Atari project. A friend approached me recently, asking if I could design a shell for the AVGcart. Granted, the cartridge (presumably still) comes installed in a modified Commodore cartridge shell which I have to say does look quite nice, but doesn't do the trick for 1200XL users. One wouldn't expect a Commodore shell to be able to pull that duty anyways. So, I came up with a design for the AVGcart, with compatibility including the 1200XL. Slips into the cartridge tunnel nicely with no force what so ever. (Almost like it was designed to fit! ) Obviously also plugs into the other machines without any issues. The length of the overall cartridge issue for 400/800 users still exists, as I can't change the length of the PCB. Here are some photos. (the three shells standing on edge in the "group" shot were early prototypes) The two facing in the first shot are final printed in high res. Thomas COREi64

  3. Here's a nice new translucent dark blue that's going overseas on Monday. If you want to grab one for yourself (in any of the available colors), you can check out this link : https://corei64.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=62_87&product_id=70 Thomas COREi64
  4. Here's the finished part, installed in my A500. I printed it in Natural/Translucent. https://corei64.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=184&search=amiga+500 Thomas COREi64
  5. Hi. I've been busy lately developing a couple new replacement parts for my beloved A500. First I've come up with a could different versions of a replacement for the trap door. One is a solid "replacement" part, the second is a slotted version to help promote additional airflow from the bottom of the machine. This one is done and ready to go. The second part I've come up with is a replacement for the expansion port cover on the left side of the machine. My most recent prototype print fits great, and the final revision is on the printer now. Here are some renders of it. These parts and information about them are available through the shop ( https://www.corei64.com ). Thomas COREi64
  6. Thanks for posting the photos of your UNOcart cases guys. Nice to see them in their natural environment! Here are the latest one going out the door today... Thomas
  7. I now have cases for both versions of the Dropcheck 1200XL cart extender The two versions of the 1200XL that I have measure 104mm, and 109mm each in overall length. These are the two boards the cases are based on: 109mm overall length: 104mm overall length: Here are the two cases: Thomas
  8. Yes, that is a high resolution print you're seeing in the photos. Thomas
  9. Thanks for posting. Glad you like it. Have any photos of it deployed on your system? Thomas COREi64
  10. If you do another run, count me in. I'll take one. COREi64
  11. Thought I'd share another order of the UNOcart case in red. Thomas COREi64
  12. If there's interest, I'd be happy to make a developers version of the case that includes open ports on the back for the programming and power headers! Thomas COREi64
  13. Would mind me asking why you'd re-flash it several times a day? I guess I'm just content with the way it works and happy to play my games... I live a simple life! Thomas COREi64
  14. Hi, You actually sent me the short board when I placed my last order. I will be modifying the design for the shorter board, so as to offer both. Thomas COREi64
  15. I didn't see the need for people to be constantly re-flashing the firmware on this device, so opted to not have the ports opened on my case... For those that do on occasion need to do that, it's pretty easy to open the case. Honestly, I don't see an issue. Having the ports always open I see more of a shock/shorting concern. Better to have them closed up for normal use IMHO. Thomas COREi64
  16. Finished the cartridge tonight... and as requested, shown working in my 1200XL. Because of the size of the cartridge, and additional hardware, I'll be selling this cartridge case for $26.95 USD for 200 micron, and an extra $6.95 for high res (100 micron). I'll post it on the shop tomorrow, but direct from me will get you cheaper shipping. Those that have an UNOcart purchased, I will add it to your shipment for no additional shipping costs if you get the order in before I get your package on it's way. Here are the photos of the finished product. Thomas COREi64
  17. Been a busy week so far. Have the first run of UNOcart cases complete. Will package them tomorrow (try to ship as well), but likely shipping Friday... See if you can spot yours... Thomas
  18. Finished "tweaking" the design, and this should be good to go. Thomas COREi64
  19. Ok, hot on the heels of the UNOcart, I'm about to finish the 1200XL Cart Extender Board case with the correct end/shield to prevent cartridges from being inserted incorrectly. I know there are/were TWO versions of this released by Drop Check (I have both), but this case is for the PCB that's 90mm long. Here are some renders so you can see what I've come up with. Same applies with all my cartridges... heatsets and hex head screws hold this whole package together. Will post finished pictures once I'm done. The finished product is going to have some embossed text on the top because... well... that vacant space needs something! And, I guess it goes without saying that it works on a 1200XL... Thomas COREi64
  20. Thanks to everyone's orders to date! The printers are humming away right now on orange, white, purple and grey UNO cases... Will update individually when your cases ship! Thomas COREi64
  21. We're all set. Yours will be the first one out the gate! Thank-you for your support! Thomas COREi64
  22. Alright, the case is good to go. The final print is perfect, nothing left to revise... it's done! Tested it on the cartridge slots of all the 8-bit Atari's and it fits perfectly (including the 1200XL). If you've got any bit of fingernail, the microSD card is easily removed and re-inserted (even with MY big mitts, I don't have trouble). Here is the order link for those interested. There are two print options. 200 micron, and 100 micron (high resolution). The photos below are 100 micron. The cartridge shell works the same regardless of the print resolution you choose. The 100 micron print is twice the number of layers as the 200 micron, so you'll find that to be a much finer print. I only added a bit ($) to increase to high resolution (even though it takes twice as long to print) FYI, my print time is 3.4 hours 200 microns, 7 hours 100 microns. I don't run my printer fast, and that ensures I get a quality print. $20.00 USD + shipping for 200 microns, and an extra $6.95 to go to 100 microns. Of course I'll throw in the tool to open and close up the case (1.5mm hex key tool). http://corei64.com/store/products.php?138 And, here are photos... The cartridge case itself: The board used to model the case around: Assembled cartridge: Working in an Atari 800XL Thomas COREi64 P.S. If you feel confident enough to pay me using "Friends and Family", then I can sell it directly to you and save you a few bucks on the shipping costs, otherwise the shipping costs from the shop stand. If this option interests you, then shoot me a PM rather than going through the shop.
  23. Hi, thanks for all the positive comments. Yes, it's going to be available for sale shortly. Just printing a grey one for photos, then will list them for sale. And yes Doctor, of course the tabs are centered on the PCB, and the case is hollow to accommodate the PCB! It wouldn't fit otherwise... Thomas COREi64
