I see the max file size, but does anybody know how many pixels high and wide a cover photo should be for it to fit in its entirety when you upload it to your profile?

  Cover photos will be resized to 100% of the browser width, as far as I can tell. You will get to position the image height wise, and as the height of the cover area remains the same if you resize the browser, it is hard to tell exact dimensions. Use as high resolution image as possible within 0.5 MB, see how much is visible in the area and adjust.
