  1. Hello Fellows! Been a while (again lol). I have a chance to buy a Puzzy Seamonster in the box (no manual) Nice condition overall. Would cost me an arm and a leg though. So hard to gauge value on something so rare. Any thoughts to its value?
  2. Likely not the case but good call. A joystick controller will move in all directions and button works no problem until you move the joystick plug in the port around a bit. Then some function is lost. Move it around again and function regained. It could also possibly be the joystick I am using. When I plugged it in it did not seem very tight at all. Pretty loose actually. I will have to test another joystick with a better plug.
  3. Haha yes indeed! I'm still kicking around but have gone hardcore into the pinball hobby so you will see me in those forums these days Learned a lot about repairing pins over the years so can use that for this kind of stuff now Thanks so much for the offer man. I will let you know. I may try to reflow the solder 1st. Will see if that works!
  4. Ahh ok so it IS grounding! It turned out to be the ribbon cable so game powers on again and the player 1 locked moving to the right is resolved! I think I may need to replace player 1 joystick port now though. Sometimes if you move the controller plug a bit the fire button stops working (testing with driving paddles for the moment) or at least reflow the solder.
  5. Swapped 6532's and we are in business (sort of)...I put the system back together and not getting any power now. That heavy aluminum shield on the heavy sixers actually touches the circuit board....weird or intentional for grounding?. I will have to take it all apart again and see what happened.
  6. Ok ill swap the 6532 and see what happens thanks!
  7. I swapped TIA's with one from another Atari 2600 and issue not resolved. So swap joystick port next?
  8. Excellent thanks. I think I have a couple machines I can use for parts!
  9. OK thanks guys! Do you have a go to place to buy them?
  10. Just testing a heavy sixer. Without a joystick even plugged in the player 1 (left port) moves the player to the right. As in the right direction is locked on. I have taken the machine apart and tested all the caps on the board right by the joystick port and none seem shorted. All pins on the port seem intact. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike
  11. I remember playing my strip poker game in about grade 7 or 8 and playing diligently for hours to get the 8 bit hottie naked!
  12. yes that is a good idea. may look into that thanks
  13. ok turns out this game is PAL format. that changes value but how much? i have no idea. i'm open to offers. the box has a little red circular sticker on it and it says PAL on there.
  14. lol that is too funny. that is usually the 1st thing to look for. usually a little circle sticker with a P on it though (thats my excuse anyways) thanks cpuwiz. yep been a long time since on the forum. good to be back!
  15. yes that other seller seems fishy. i seen he had a guantlet that looked repro but no mention of it. was sure answer carts were activision style with wrap around label. i have a new problem that may affect value if i cant figure it out. see link.... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/225872-my-boing-broke-help/
  16. Just picked up a cib boing but the game is not loading up properly. See pic. It starts with a fuzzy black and white screen. Here is what I have tried: Cleaning the pins on the cartridge tested game on 3 different atari systems (all atari juniors) tried 2 different original atari ac adapters tested other games on the system and get full color and load up just fine made sure it was not the b/w switch im using the little silver adapter and NOT the tv/game switch box if game was pal would it not roll on the screen? here are pics of the box and game. maybe it IS pal? http://s131.photobucket.com/user/atariaction/library/?view=recent&page=1 any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  19. not sure if this is the correct section of the forum but could not find "repair". just got a 6 switch woodgrain. system will turn on for 1-5 seconds and then turn off. tired 2 different power supplies and 2 different games. im guess someting on the mother board. any suggestions? thanks
  20. i went to this video game show 2 times before. (near toronto) the websirt is dead i think www.thevideogameshow.com there were some good deals there. id like to go back. anyone know if they still have tt or if there is another one in canada?
  21. Not to be rude or anything but the cart obviously wasn't actually tested. I see that you deal in volume so I understand how difficult it might be to try out each individual game but when something is listed as " GUARANTEED TO WORK PERFECTLY OR YOUR MONEY BACK!", most people would naturally assume that the cartridge was indeed tested and found to be fully functional. I know this happens a lot with many sellers. I've bought a good amount of carts that have supposedly been tested only to find so much crud on the contacts that there is no way on earth that the game ever would have booted up on any system. As for which system your game goes to I would have to say either the C=64 or A8, although with an alternate label. As mentioned above perhaps Australian. I can't seem to find an image of the C64 RR cart so I'm not positive if the label is like your or like the domestic A8 one. The only one I have found that where the label looks like the one in your auction is for the IBM PCjr. As seen in the picture below it's clearly not the same cart since they are shaped differently. Maybe you should've put that image in your post as an attachment before sharing it with us. i had to wait till i got it back from the buyer before i could take those pics
  22. hi me again i gave the buyer a 100% refund (purchase price + shipping) (byuer paid for return shipping) here are pics of the game. so is it intellivision or is it c64???
