  1. I saw this mentioned on the Facebook group and just checking to make sure this is here. Just have to say, with this, and the new games in DVD format for the non-N501 gamers, this has turned out to be an exciting year for Nuon gamers! Thanks everyone for making this and the other Nuon areas (Nuon Dome, Discord, Facebook, etc) live with Nuon activity! Here's to an awesome 2023!
  2. Where can you find this version to try it out?
  3. BTW, saw a TRS-80 Model 4 desktop not portable in a pawn shop in Duncanville, TX the other day. Asked how much for it, but he just had it on display.
  4. Oh man, I would love a Batman game for the Jag, but looks like "Batman Returns" didn't quite make it for the ST. Loved it on the Lynx though. Not seeing any Tolkien games either on the ST.
  5. Still amazed how much the Mystique games worked on the Atari Jaguar. Especially "Western Ho" (which went by a more infamous name).
  6. Yes it was designed more like an isometric game like Zaxxon versus the first person vector graphics of the first game of the series. The second game (also vector graphics and first person) I'm not sure if it was ever in the arcade (looks on the interwebs) huh, it was, but I never saw that one in the arcade. Limited release? But yeh ROTJ was quite a departure from the first two games and probably why I could never get into it. I guess you just get used to a style of games and it is hard to try other styles of games for a while. Know what I mean?
  7. Where did this thread continue? Interested in doodling with a Jaguar.
  8. If you are ever in doubt, and you trust the source, just pop it in and try it out. Knowing CyranoJ, it would at least be worth a few minutes. This is truly awesome CJ. Completes the trilogy quite nicely for the Jaguar now. Also when I was younger I don't think I liked ROTJ very much in the arcade, but after a few minutes of play I think this would be a fun game on the Jag in my regular rotation. Merry Christmas!

  10. Huh, maybe THAT's another good reason why I didn't like the 16-bit era games. Did seem to be about graphics and what not, but the game aspect was a lot of the time sidelined. And in earlier times gameplay and imagination was all you had. -------------- Anyway, I think Atari 50th needs a downloadable game patch to add ST Star Raiders. There you go. Atari ST represented. To matter the fact, I think "Atari" should just send over patches with other games every now and then.
  11. Oh good! Maybe you could take a look at the Atari 800 emu too. See why that fire button acts like it is sticking. Maybe then we can get Return of Heracles working for the Nuon.
  12. Had one of those for a few years and loved it. Might still have a 210 lying around. Amazing machines. What had just before I got my G3 Mac.
  13. You too eh? Yeh, not sure what it was. The graphics were obviously better, the music more complex, and yet, didn't grab me. I think it was just the gameplay for me. Or just nostalgia. I think I like vector graphics games, for example, due to the simplicity of game play and less distracting on the screen. Maybe the same for the 8-bit games on the 2600 and Atari 8-bit computers.
  14. Just commenting. Good grief, chill dude, go drink some eggnog and relax. But does prove a point that most of the more notable games that come to mind, even those designed or published by "Atari" (except Star Raiders and even that was meh to the Atari 800 version to me) were non-Atari properties.
  15. Honestly, not the biggest fan of 16-bit era gaming on the Atari ST, Amiga, etc. I liked the 8-bit era (2600, 800, some 7800) with systems with special graphics and sound chips, and then I've liked gaming from the Atari Jaguar onward. Lynx is actually a fun exception, but I don't always play it. I DO play a lot of 2600 and Jaguar games. I like ST games ported to the Jaguar because usually have better sound samples, play smoother, and well, I get to play them on my Jaguar. So when the ST was not included in the collection I... really didn't miss it... (sheepish look). Hmmm... curious though, possible games, by Atari, for the Atari ST, well let's see... A really loved gaming machine in Europe at least. I agree, should have been at least ONE game in the line up. And that game should have been Vindicators. <-- personal fav.
  16. Reduced time! Nice! Yeh if the last picture on the bottom is the current pattern it looks cool. Like the ladders are different shades. That is a notable difference.

  18. Good morning, this is a quick shout out for those that like Soccer Kid and plushies, there is one available on ebay currently... They usually come like this. Bundled with a Telegames release of Soccer Kid for the Gameboy Advance. A good version too as far as I'm concerned. Size wise as a plush, actually smaller than the Bubsy plush, which is actually quite small shown here in comparison to a Sega Genesis cart, and various buttons. What is cool though is these plushes are not overly rare, and these seem to pop up on ebay a few times a year. And that might seem rare, but I've only seen two Bubsy plushes show up since I've been searching for Bubsy merch since around maybe 2005? So you have a semi-rare to ultra rare comparison. When it comes to the Jaguar commercial release mascots, you never can seem to line up all four (Bubsy, Zool, Rayman, and Kid Kleet) in a single lineup.* Enamel pins you get all but Kid Kleet. Plushes you get all but Zool. For the completionist in me, this is maddening. Anyway Jaguar Mascot fans, just wanted to mention that was seen. Now I'll go get a bowl of Golden Grahams which I suddenly want.. for some reason. --------------------------------------- * Yes, Soccer Kid was not original release, but Songbird release at least of an existing beta from the era. And there are other platformers, but not of that mascot platformer type.

  21. Well looked like this: V - 1983 Mini-Series * 40% of the viewing television audience at that time watching it. * November 2005, Entertainment Weekly named V one of the 10 best miniseries on DVD. * The article noted, "As a parable about it-can-happen-here fascism, V was far from subtle, but it carved a place for lavish and intelligent sci-fi on TV. * Its impact can still be felt in projects like Taken and The 4400."[9] (The 4400's executive producer Scott Peters later helmed ABC's 2009 reboot.) * December 2008, Entertainment Weekly put V on its list "The Sci-Fi 25: The Genre's Best Since 1982", and called Visitor leader Diana's devouring a guinea pig "one of the best TV reveals ever." V - The Final Battle Mini-Series - averaged a 25.1 rating and 37 share V - 1984 TV series - finished the season ranked 57th with a 12.5 rating/18 share and 67% on Rotten Tomatoes. V - 2009 TV Series - 1st Season 14.3 dropped at the beginning to 5.72 million viewers ranking 89th. 2nd Season averaged 6.93 million viewers per episode ranking 75th. I think they made their money very much so. And yes, it was what we were talking about in school. What was really fun was the alien birthing scene was right at the time my Mom and Grandmother decided to walk into the room. Wow... now that was crazy.
  22. Oh now this is nice! Wanted this for years. Now to dig out my Toshiba.
