  1. The U1MB should in a lot of ways be what the Incogneto is. But of the XE and XE OS they have listed, they all have basic as a default. (I try to load like the IRC chat under XL/XE 320k and it either comes up in basic, memory test, etc.) Thanks for the answers to my questions all!
  2. Something had me wondering last night. Never have luck disabling basic in the XL/XE environment 100% of the time. I know it sounds silly, but always found having to disable basic to be an unnecessary step. Would it be possible to make a stand in rom for basic? So the computer will look where basic is, but automatically just say "nothing to see here, move along..." Perhaps something to just simply activate option without having the hold down option?
  3. What games this works with works quite well. Sadly Atari Karts was not one of them. So much for the notion all the commercial games work.
  4. Have fun over there, naturally wish I could be there, but maybe sometime in the future.
  5. Hey all, so I did my speedrun at Shin-chan. First time to beat is 11 minutes, 29 seconds. Timed from when you get control of the character, to where you no longer have control after beating the boss on level 11.
  6. Little bit of feedback I got from the seller, who talked to the manufacturer: " I just asked the manufacturer and he said "Many homebrew games use a completely different method than retail games, which has different timings and cause issues." If you look under https://www.humblebazooka.com/2022/04/05/blueretro-adapter-instructions/ there's a section of "known issues and quirks" that mentions the homebrew compatibility and also some retail game issues, they mention a controller preset called "Jaguar cycle shift" that you could try maybe." Jaguar Cycle Shift? Anyone tried that and did that improve things much?
  7. Interesting. Tried it on Joust and left, flap, and most number buttons would work, but not right and down for some reason.
  8. Just picked up one of these, only gotten it to work partially with a PS4 controller.
  9. I think this deserves at least some internet archeology, and a video.
  10. Aw yes, Soulstar. Alright game what I've played of it. And Bust-A-Move with this analogy might be much the same, an "alright" game. But the completionist in all of us is screaming "gotta have it!". So any leads on A-maze?
  11. If we can ever get the Atari 800 Emulator's fire button working properly, not only would we have a game of MULE we could **PLAY** at quarter speed, but I also hacked in a disk image of Return of Heracles, got a special version to get past the Sphynx Riddle needing the keyboard. I think even at quarter speed and no sound/music that game would still be fun to play on the Nuon.
  12. Very much enjoyed it. Actually played through the game twice. The Nuon finally has a platformer game to add to the collection, very low key and kid level Street Fighter, but the game does get challenging in parts. You get past the half baked intro, game is actually pretty fun. Like everyone, hoping one day Bust a Move and A-Maze will show up. But this IS a surprisingly nice addition.
  13. That is amazing!! I finally get to try this game and mark this off my bucket list. https://archive.org/details/crayon-shin-chan_202310 Downloading the .iso now. Thank you "Edge Connector"! While I wait for the download, at bit about the show it was based on:
  14. Morning (or whatever) to everyone, Getting back on the Atari BBSs, who has good message activity? Currently on Boot Factory and Dark Forces but looking to expand that out again.

  17. I'll add, if it is decided to port Crystal Castle and sound files are needed, I could put something together.
  18. Out of the list I think I'm looking forward to Xenowings and Classic Kong.
  19. There was a cool article on Reddit, which was originally announced on Twitter that you can watch on Youtube. And of course, being posted here. Wade Rosen saying he'd like to see more Bubsy games, and wanting to hear from development teams that would want to make a new Bubsy game. I know a few over the years that have made fan games and concepts so maybe now is the time to shine? Happy to say, some have already chimed in: And if interesting, those of us at this Bubsy Fan Blog, and the Bubsy discord server can offer at least some interesting ideas. This blog has been here since 2008 and has seen what's worked, and not worked, and what people would like to see in future Bubsy games. If we never get to talk, I'm hoping that those at Atari might enjoy, and gleam info for the next game from this blog's pages. WHO IS BUBSY: The Fan Blog's Summary Focusing on Bubsy's strengths as a character what makes Bubsy so enjoyable is that Bubsy is a "underdog" never a A-List character, but that doesn't stop Bubsy from doing A-Lister work or goals. Or even thinking himself a A-lister. And yet he continues to be his crazy self even with no one watching or listening, usually a "party of one". And then from there he remains determined to persevere (pronounced: puuurrr-severe) through challenges. Recommendation: since Bubsy is obviously a character with great confidence is to write the character more so as a pal you adventure with. That will take him from lame dad-joker to cool uncle / friend. There is more details this blog could add if asked, but those are the basic thoughts. ------------------------------------------------------------- Here is some cool stuff found by the guys over at the Officious Bubsy Server we'll leave off with these. Until next time, enjoy!! Wow some people getting Bubsy tattoos. Now THAT is serious fandom. 20. What were featured in the other two magazines you have? Naturally would love to see other issues Okisyasu might have. Anyone asked this person yet?
  21. Hi tripled79 I'm going to go with your question being about Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure. The score only goes to 999,999 which in the past with as high as we were scoring topped out, leaving us no clear winner. But, in all honesty the games were played differently in earlier days of the Jaguar High Score Club. You could win by any means neccessary, and sometimes the higher score was attained through shear patience and repetition. So Pitfall might not be AS big a deal these days.
  22. I think this is brilliant. You thinking of doing this for the other Swordquest games?
  23. It's my birthday four day weekend!  And payday!  Woot!
