  1. This looks too good! I’ll be trying this one out 👍
  2. Elevators Amiss 1: 2,738 Fun game! a lot of waggling!
  3. When I clear all the herd it’s because it’s at the end of that wave/herd. I can tell by the pattern of doggies, 3 spaced out evenly. I’ll clear the bottom first where there is only the one black Angus then the top where there is 2. Doing it this way sets me up for the next herd. If I try to get them all at once they will come back all at once. The only time I’ve done this differently is just before the 8th herd, to see if it will help me get more points and time between the bottom group and top.
  4. Yeah that’s correct! When you get to the eighth herd the doggies don’t move forward anymore when touch them. So 36k to 37k is generally it, however a score of 40k has been by achieved, done by @OldManG.
  5. Stampede Game 1: 35,319 Note : Score Rolls at 10,000 points, which a number is then displayed next to the Activision Logo Probably one of my all time favorite games and I do have the HSC to thank for that 👍 After playing it in one of the rounds a couple of years ago I kind of got addicted to it,and been playing it fairly regularly since. Hence my score. As mentioned above "Lane Management" is definitely the key strategy, Work one half of the screen, then the other, know when the Black Angus is coming and you will start to see a pattern. To show what a mean I have added a video. Hopefully more players can roll the score 🙂
  6. Exactly how @Keir described. Then the very top mutant I jump over to get the item and he is history. Jumping the mutants regularly is the challenging part of the game
  7. Actually this not entirely correct 😊 Yes, memorising the level layouts is essential, but Once you have cleared Level 20, Levels 13 to 20 just repeat in the order ie 13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20. Although on the screen, for the level it will just say “PRO”. So to really improve on the game, assuming you get past Level 12 regularly, You want to practice by Selecting Game Number 4. This starts at Level 13. When can consistently clear all the levels, then it’s time to play Game 1
  8. So this I guess happens when you reach 50 to 60 pts. That first blue maze after 20 pts really seems to be super fast. The next few screens after that you definitely get accustomed to the speed, so when you get to 50 or more it’s pretty much as fast as it goes. The key to rolling this one is to keep a straight line down the screen. Also stay as close you can to the middle. In the middle be proactive with your make breaks. Meaning use them to clear a part of the maze ahead to keep that straight line going, try not to use multiple to get you out of trouble. And let’s not forget about the sticky walls. The best solution I found to stop getting stuck is letting go of the joystick briefly, because you actually bounce of the wall, then quickly adjust the direction you need to go. I was able to surpass my 145 with the below run.
  9. In that run I managed another 45. So 145 was my end total.
  10. I actually never knew the score rolled on this game ( never got close enough 😆 ) Entombed 1BB : ROLLAGE (100) Here are the pics one before Rollage when I was 99 Just after after surpassing 99
  11. Its been awhile but I couldn't pass up on posting a score for entombed. Entombed 1BB : 60 I owned this one back in the day, just before the great Atari crash. I got my copy and a couple of others ( tanks but no tanks was one ) for $1.00 each at a Sporting goods store here in Australia. We used to go there to get all the Cricket and Soccer equipment my brother and I used to play, and then one day there was this large DUMP BIN Display of Atari 2600 games. Needless to say it was an Awesome surprise! The only thing is that they all played in Black and White, knowing what I know now about PAL and NTSC it was pretty clear they bought a whole stack of NTSC games cheap to sell here in OZ to make some $$$. Ahh the memories 🤗 One last thing on Entombed, there is actually a VERY interesting back story to the programming, in particular how the MAZE gets generated... https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20190919-the-maze-puzzle-hidden-within-an-early-video-game
  12. Actually Im having trouble doing that, any chance you could share what you did to get it to work?
  13. This does look very good!! Curious though, and I haven’t played your version yet, but with the original there was an issue with the rabbits disappearing. Ive added a video to show what I mean, what caused it would cool to find out.
  14. Looks like everybody has done well on Gravitar!! Ill have to get moving soon to be able to make it through to the next round.
  15. No it’s all good, it just means I need to bring my A game, if I have one, a lot earlier than I wanted. Good luck!!
  16. Unbelievable!! The 2 games I was hoping NOT to play ?
  17. Congrats @kermit73 you were by far and away the most consistent high score achiever this year!! Well deserved I also like the fact you are willing to share tips and strategies along the way ? To @Vocelli again as most have mentioned and agree there would be NO HSC without you dedication and passion to keep the competition flowing!! Thanks again for another super year!! On to the nitty gritty.. Favorite Game from Season 12 Loved Popeye and most certainly enjoyed Raptor!!. Platform games Ive always enjoyed and Popeye has that bit of unpredictability that makes me want to continue playing to hopefully get the rollage! Raptor, just as soon as I first played it had me hooked, great idea executed well! Most Surprising Game from Season 12 Was very surprised by both Xenophobe and Reactor, I guess the both met my skill level which made them enjoyable to play. I am also a sucker for a LONG grind in some games, so I will look at playing these one-day to hit the Million points! Worst Game from Season 12 I really didn't enjoy these two - Gravitar and Fast Food. Cant say Ill ever play them again, Fast Food especially!! Both games highlight my weaknesses in gaming and that frustrates me!! Congrats to everyone for making this season really fun
  18. Improvement, maybe I am starting to like this a little more ?. There are some definite patterns once you exceed 35k, the snakes are my biggest problem, they are more erratic in their movements. Smurfs : 74,900
  19. First effort, though i really dislike this game Smurfs : 54,200
  20. Okay I am done with this one, was going for rollage but I lost the will to live ?, suicides for my last 4 men My time was pretty good 1hr 42 mins for 300k.. Reactor 1BB : 306,659
