  1. Thanks, and I apologize if I misunderstood what you meant about Gyruss being "not that bad". I did not realize you meant specific examples of stolen code being brought to market, the messages I have been receiving entail just shady occurrences in general going down in the community. This is what I have been referring to throughout my arguments. As far as getting pissed, it is not just the name calling. The name calling is the main point I am making about immaturity, however it is not the only instance as far as you getting pissed goes. It is in the way you talk on here, calling me a liar and even just now spitting "So you can keep such nonsense accusations to yourself." Speaking of that, I was simply ill-informed, as I said these were in messages and I was not aware. That's why I said "as I understand it". Well then, find the times when I forgot to quote you and when you say I attributed false statements to you and I can explain where I got those lines from. Finally, as far as the childish element goes, I warned you that if you continued acting like this I would go just as low.
  2. Since you mention having played it, have you received yours or did you get it at PRGE? It has yet to arrive for me.
  3. Alright, here's what I know: I keep receiving messages about all these instances of Gyruss-like events occurring. As I have not followed the INTV community for long (unlike some others such as the CV community), I do not know what they are but the people are legitimate sources. I will not reveal their names, but can copy-paste their quotes if you deem it necessary. I have quoted you almost every time I have replied, so everyone knows who and what I am replying to. You seem to be taking the once or twice I forgot to quote you and using it to turn the argument against me. I bring up the lack of snapping because take note that I have remained mostly calm throughout this, while you keep getting pissed and calling me names. Besides intellivotion, I have yet to see anyone come to defend you, while I have both m-crew and DJ to back me up. That's only one person more, but that's also just on this thread, i.e. not including those messaging me. They do not accuse me of assigning false quotes, and agree with my arguments. Also, as I understand it you are a developer (also from messages I have received). Is it possible you are only saying this to try to keep people leaving so you can sell more games?
  4. This is not blowing him off. Blowing him off would be acting like he doesn't know what he's talking about, and continuing to use Tutankham in Super Cobra in my argument, neither of which I have done after that post.
  5. And to ensure that you don't try to claim that you never said I do not trust European members for these matters, there it is. Also, to tackle this before I move on (this being the bottom two lines of the quote), I am giving you one more chance to remain civil. If you want to keep at this, I can go there, but I am confident that I can act as such far better (or worse, depending on how you look at it) than you. Do you want to know why I, despite being called a liar, "abject rookie" (there's your quotes, direct one will be in post below), and whatever else you could throw at me, have not snapped? Why I have not used emojis or resorted to name calling (other than a couple of times when you were being particularly immature)? It is because I have faced far worse elsewhere, on other sites and forums. I have built up a certain tolerance over time, however I also have learned how to truly go low to get to someone. If we are going to debate over whether Gyruss-like scams will result in a crash, then I recommend neither of us go there. However, if you continue this kind of behavior, I will do the same. I know I am repeating myself from yesterday, but I want to clarify that I do not wish to go there, and will only if I believe it to be necessary.
  6. The latter was my reply to the former. His argument did not make sense to me at first, but it did after he brought up the sold games and explained he meant not rare as opposed to common. That is why I have stopped using Tutankham and Super Cobra as part of my argument: he, unlike you, was able to debunk it. (Though I will point out that, not that this detracts from his argument any, but since you seem to think I do not trust European members, I clearly do but also he lives in Italy as opposed to France and the UK where he was speaking of. Yes, Tutankham and Super Cobra were released there, but in that case he was not speaking of experiences with his own country.)
  7. I will be replying to you in multiple posts, likely throughout the day as I will have to see what all posts I need to quote you from and when all I have time to do so. There, you did say that this was bad but not that bad since this particular instance was just once. (Yes, I will be getting into these other instances in my other replies per your request, but I have other quotes of yours to find first.)
  8. It is happening at a rapidly increasing pace. Gyruss is just one instance of it, and nine copies is nine copies too much considering its price and the relative size of the community. It's driving people away from the community, if not long-time members then newcomers who see this and take it as a warning to stay away. With you being anti-Gyruss, you should agree with the crash for reasons previously listed. You never even responded to all my reasoning and layouts for the falls of this community and the others, which I made almost a month ago after you asked me to. I forgot to quote you a couple of times throughout this. When I did, you pointed it out, and I proceeded to put the quotes in my direct reply. Other than that, I misunderstood what intellivotion meant about not rare versus common, but you weren't even a part of that. I explained myself each time, while you just called everyone Captain Eyeroll and abject rookies. I do not have multi-quote set, so I can't quote you, but I just went and looked to find that those were your exact words. But hey, if you want to maintain that maturity level, I can follow that. I will not right now, but keep that in mind for the future.
  9. I saw that video a few days ago when it was first posted, the thing is he isn't referring to the same crash I am. I'm talking about the demand and thus prices for these games to drop, the communities here and, as a result, homebrews for these consoles dying out, not fewer people collecting NES stuff.
  10. Well, that's just it: while there will obviously be nothing stopping you from continuing to play, INTV support at PRGE will become very low as homebrewers halt production due to these scams. If those games that interest you are homebrews, same thing, few to none will be released after the crash.
  11. I've read everything that's been said on here. You've said that Gyruss is a problem, however it's not just one issue, it's yet another shady deal that's occurred here. It does represent if not the community, than at least where the community's heading. That is what you fail to acknowledge. Also, I'd prefer if we at least didn't sink low enough to resort to name calling.
  12. There it is. It is indicative of the community because its frequency is increasing, and people are supporting it. Look, you're for or against this, you can't be neutral. Which are you?
  13. Yes, exactly. To the1hatman, intellivotion, and whoever else was denying this, Ignorama has just summed up what I've been saying. If anyone says "it's just once, it's fine", they're helping the problem. See my descriptions of the crash of most communities here on AA. Also, I forget what all you've said and/or done, but from what I'm hearing you're like in me in the sense that you spoke your mind, people were idiots and got offended, and you were correct in your predictions for the communities.
  14. Even if it's never directly resolved here, it can (and should) stand as a lesson for anyone who considers doing this. And if you do as you said go on eBay and buy Gyruss, you are only fueling the crash which I have described in detail.
  15. Well, even so, it doesn't detract from the numerous other reasons I explained as to why a crash is coming.
  16. Just saw this, a couple of questions: - Is this true Galaxian, or the Galaxians stage in Gorf? - I wasn't around when whatever went down with Steve did, but I came across something while trying to figure out what happened: http://mdocweb.state.mi.us/OTIS2/otis2profile.aspx?mdocNumber=783598 Does this sound like him? If it is, it makes sense why he was banned.
  17. Well, I've only been a part of it since this past spring, but I've been following it much longer. Same for the CV and 7800 communities, I'm not even in them to this day but still follow them. If they are common over in the UK and France, than how exactly is there not a single copy of Super Cobra coming from either and only a single copy of Tutankham coming from each on eBay? And how are they still expensive at all? Yes, they've dropped down quite a bit as I've discussed, but if they're truly as common as you say they shouldn't be more than $50-$60 CIB, and that's being generous. I'll give you the point about most North American collectors having the two, as all except one copy of Super Cobra seem to be coming from there, but again: why aren't they lower? This on its own wouldn't make it as cheap as I just stated, however combined with its commonality in the UK and France it'd be even cheaper. Of course, those are eBay prices, but they rarely pop up here and haven't done so in quite a while. When they do, they're usually not much cheaper. There's not any European auction sites I can find that have them for cheaper. How exactly do you explain all this? Tutankham France: https://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_odkw=intellivision+super+cobra&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=intellivision+tutankham&_sacat=0 Super Cobra France: https://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_odkw=intellivision+tutankham&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=intellivision+super+cobra&_sacat=0 Tutankham UK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=intellivision+tutankham&_sacat=0 Super Cobra UK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=intellivision+tutankham&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC2.A0.H0.Xintellivision+super+cobra.TRS0&_nkw=intellivision+super+cobra&_sacat=0
  18. I don't have any stories of my own to tell, however this line here interests me: Super Cobra was indeed released in Canada? Since you bought it new, do you remember how uncommon it was or if you also saw Tutankham?
  19. Is it? eBay prices are usually $20-$25 loose, but I honestly have no clue what TI-99 stuff goes for on here or any forums as I've rarely seen it pop up for sale.
  20. Know how to get someone to instantly buy your listing on eBay? Charge $75 for a game worth around $20. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MR-80-CXN-EXTREMELY-RARE-Ms-Pac-Man-Texas-Instruments-TI-99-MORE-IN-STORE/283282539478?hash=item41f4f483d6:g:5owAAOSwPWtb~~Y9:rk:5:pf:0 Sure, let's listen to him that it's extremely rare.
  21. I hope he does, just so we can figure it out and have the satisfaction of banning his ass.
  22. Is this a record for the most massive bump of a post? Anyway, I believe it didn't. Opcode plans to re-release it as requiring the SGM, though.
  23. There are cases to be made both ways about which side was correct in this, but the focus should be him going SJW on you. Who cares who's fault the tracking was, he needs to get his sorry ass reported.
