  1. My homebrew collection... Juno First purchased here at AtariAge, with a custom cover I made from some AA artwork I found on Google Germ Squashers for NES made locally in Pittsburgh PA Beerslinger and Blow Em Out by Retroscribe Games, with covers found at thecoverproject.net
  2. My GameBoy collection with the audio cassette cases..
  3. OK, I've been a member for a few months. But until now I haven't really interacted much here at AtariAge. Mostly after a bad experience with a couple guys at NintendoAge. I've been getting the lay of the land so to speak. So this evening I started taking new pics of my collection, and didn't realize just how much I have lol.
  4. And best of all they are super easy and cheap to make. I do need to design one myself for the 5200 since I just started collecting for it.
  5. I got mine from ShopGoodwill about roughly six months ago. Got it in a lot that included four 2600 sticks, and four 2600 paddles as well as Video Checkers and Xonox Chuck Norris Double Ender. And thanks to being a member here at AtariAge, I got the Revenge controller adapter to use my Genesis game pad. Every time I hit the local game shop, Im always checking for new arrivals for 7800 carts. So far my collection is at ten carts. Lately Atari has been fighting Nintendo as far as console time they get lol.
  6. Well, Project Behemoth (as I like to call it lol) arrived tonight! I looked it over pretty good, and I'm rather impressed by its condition. Now I need to gather the missing parts and begin the upgrade process.
  7. I'm thinking this could be an interesting candidate for an arcade style stick, or atleast a starting point anyway..... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/emio-the-edge-joystick-for-nes-classic-edition-white/5710432.p?skuId=5710432
  8. How about a port of the original vector graphic arcade version of Star Trek: Strategic Operations. I've seen gameplay on YouTube and looks vastly superior to both 2600 and 5200 versions.
  9. Occasionally you do get some good deals at ShopGoodwill. I got my 2600Jr for $10, and my 7800 lot for $20. And the lot included 4 2600 sticks, 4 paddles, as well as Video Checkers, and Xonox Chuck Norris. I've been watching for a ColecoVision especially as of late. I just stumbled onto the 5200. For $12 bucks I didn't think I'd get it lol.
  10. From what I read at Bests website, I can order the individual parts and do the refit myself. I kind of like doing that, and being able to boast that I fixed it myself. Plus I do have the plan on buying a composite video upgrade for both my 5200 and 7800. I have the kit from Retrofixes.com installed in my 2600Jr (The 7800 can use the same kit) and the difference in the video and audio is outstanding. https://store.retrofixes.com/collections/upgrade-diy-kits/products/atari-2600-simple-diy-composite-kit?variant=11832920071 I found this kit on Ebay for the 5200 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-5200-DIY-Install-S-Video-AV-Assembled-Mod-Board-Complete-Kit-/292006963526?hash=item43fcf8a946:g:NcYAAMXQ01tRV55L I'm looking forward to refitting my 5200. Mikey, I'm jealous about your TG16, a couple guys that are at the Nintendo forum I post at just got them too. I so want to snag one myself. I just can't seem to find the right deal. But for the time being my quest for one has to hit the back burner as I have a preorder for the new Nintendo Switch, as well as planning on placing an order for the new RetroUSB AVS Nintendo clone. I love seeing NES games in HD. But I want to snag one before they become hard to come by. I just happened to luck into the 5200, not to mention also finding an Intellivision for $5 plus shipping. I was REALLY tempted on that one lol. I keep waiting to see if the ITV gets reposted to Shopgoodwill again lol.
  11. I just snagged a 2 port model Atari 5200. I found it on an auction at Shopgoodwill.com. I haven't taken delivery as of yet, but have been trying to look up as much info as I can. Though most info I find is usually centered over the 4 port model. Surprisingly I haven't found much for my version. Are there any major issues I should be aware of? The auction I won didn't include any controllers or cords. I figured it was a decent buy for $12 plus shipping. I know about the shoddy controllers, and have been looking at Best Electronics gold upgrades to the controller. Not to mention the possible 5200/Jag adapter. I've heard that the 2 port used a traditional power cord as opposed to the combo switcher that came with the 4 port.
  12. I just scored a 5200 2 port without any controllers, so yes I'd be VERY interested in using a Jag gamepad for my soon to be shipped 5200!
  13. You might also try ShopGoodwill.com. I just snagged a 5200 2 port without controllers and cables for $12 bucks plus shipping. Though complete systems will run more. And is usually the best place I snag Atari games as they usually come in lots of 4 to 10 games ranging from the 2600 to the 7800Pro.
  14. I managed to snag one about a week and a half ago. I wasn't going to hack mine, but couldn't resist after watching a few YouTube videos. But after its hacked, there is so much more value to the unit. I've been wanting a cheaper alternative to buying an Everdrive or PowerPak for my NES to play Homebrews and Hacks. Blade Buster is now one of my favorite killer apps for the Classic. But now I want to snag the AVS even more than before since I've seen what NES games look through HDMI. My two NES Toasters are so much more temperamental than my 2600Jr or 7800Pro. Plus I feel the need to buy the Blade Buster cart. I like supporting the hombrew guys. But easily the best feature about the Classic is that it's so portable, I bought the licensed carry case for when I go on vacation, or go to friends houses for game nights. I only wish the freaking cord on the controllers were longer.
  15. Thanks guys, yeah they turned out great. Though I will say my Coleco Atari carts aren't exactly a sure fit. The grips on the sides tend to get caught on the paper sleeves. And id say for the 5200 and likely the Jag too, the SNES cover could be adapted.
  16. I got it to work. I had to take all of the other roms off the SD card.
  17. Yeah, I have set as Game. All of the other roms from that big download show up. I've even tried removing a couple of roms to see if that helps.
  18. The .bin file doesn't show up in the SD card menu.
  19. Hey I wanted to show off the custom made sleeves for the 2600 and 7800 I made. I found this guys YouTube video and downloaded his plans. I added some color from a 2600 cover from Cover Project, and added some vector clip art I found on Google. They look great I think. I used my copy of Galaxian 2600 to make sure I got the shape right so the games will fit nice and snug.
  20. I remember playing a 2600 back in the 80's when I was a kid. I only vaguely remember the system. But fast forward to 2016, and I lucked into a 2600Jr auction from ShopGoodwill.com. It came with just the console, and was in fairly rough shape. But she worked great after buying a 3rd party power cord from Amazon. On top of that me and a buddy of mine upgraded the little Jr to composite RCA from Retrofixes. Up to now I've been pretty much an NES collector, but Atari has already won me over at this point. Two weeks ago I scored another ShopGoodwill auction for a 7800Pro, 4 2600 joysticks, 4 2600 paddles, power cord, as well as Video Checkers, and Xonox Artillery Duel/Chuck Norris Super Kicks dual cart. I only spent $20 shipped for the Jr, and $38 shipped for the 7800. And currently have 28 carts for the 2600 (including Juno First for homebrew), and only 3 for the 7800.
  21. I'm going to have one put on order as soon as my PayPal account updates lol. I'm looking forward to it!
  22. I just got myself an Atari 7800 from ShopGoodwil.com, and didn't come with any controllers. I've been playing my 2600Jr with a Genesis controller and want to use it with the 7800. I know of the Ed Laddin Seagull 78 adapter but has anyone had any experience with this one on eBay? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-to-Atari-7800-controller-adapter-/201675697445?_trksid=p2352135.m2548.l4275 It's about 6 bucks cheaper, and alot slimmer. Though I'm generally cautious when dealing with eBay,
  23. I only have two homebrews at the moment. I currently own Juno First for the 2600 and Star Versus for the NES. Both are bar none my favorite go to titles for both platforms. I do have plans on buying Flappy and Fall Down for 2600, Scramble for 7800, and Germ Squashers for NES (I love how buying the game is donating to Childrens Miracle Network, and getting a free game to boot). I've gone as far as making some UGC box covers for both games to match the rest of my Nintendo and Atari collections.
  24. I didn't receive them today, but the UPS guy paid me a visit yesterday....
