I had (still have) many vintage products from the 70's and 80's of theirs. And while I had few support issues, I was never blatantly lied to or fed nonsense. Not like this last.

Back in the day we had personal support. And we weren't made to feel insignificant. Hence the slogan, "The Most Personal Computer"..

In general that's probably true to some extent. I've had both good and bad dealings with many of them over the decades. Ohh hell I'm starting a thread!

The more successful they got, the worse their tech support got. Once they became a phone company selling gazillions of consumer products, they exceeded their capacity to support the rest of their business.

They aren't unique in that regard. The problem is that by comparison they used to be so much better.
