  1. Nice trick, but it only works on the lower levels guess I did not make it that far then, eh
  2. Hola all.... just thought I would share an interesting find about T2000 - and how to beat the highscore - or better - how to skip those unwanted levels... Ok, we all know those levels in T2000 we really don't like. We know the game, we play it, we beat it (or not !!). But there are alwos the levels we crave the least. if you are ever facing one of the levels you really don't dig and you are not in the mood to beat, just do the following: just KEEP the B button pressed at the beginning of your least favourite level and DON"T MOVE your pod !!!!. Every enemy wil dissapppear once it touches your pod (after reaching your end of the grid and wandering around for a while ) - and you will get earn points for each pod that you "destroyed". Once you move or realease the B button the magic is gone... and without moving eventually the level will be over.... This has probably been heard at AA before. I jus neve read it and so I thouhgt this might be a nice info to share.... - There I am playing games since Digi Man on the C64 - and my friends daughter (Age 5) has to show me this one.... Oh this PS generation... I was really wondering how she got 1 000 000 points at the first level. I guess she was just simply bored with this game... hmmmmm.... PS.: still did not find a worthy game for my JagCD...
  3. I experineced something quite funny last night palying T2k. Usually there is no problem with the sound - no matter how much is going on on the screen, you always hear the sound (your shots, explosions etc.) no sound is covered by another sound. Second, once you finished a level and you are "zooming" out of the web, you can't crash into anything, right? Of course I tried to collect the extras on my way out ("yes yes yes"), and that works. Shooting somebody? no, does not work. and it is not necessary, since usually enemies don't shoot you anymore. Flying "through" an enemy? not a problem. Ok, last night, I had issues with the sound. The entire game "sounded" strange. I did not hear all my shots anymore when there were explosions going on. Additionally, and that was the strangest thing ever, I got shot while I was zooming out of a web. Just like that. Boooom. What's your experience? I have NEVER seen/heard that before. Is it a bug or just me?
  4. No, it is actually the most used button combination when you want to play HIGHLANDER..... How can you possibly almost ruing a game that looks really cool, and seems like to be an interesting game by RUINING the control so bad??? What where they thinking???? I can live with the kinda weird changes of the camera angle, I can live with the funny look of my little McSomething.... The graphix are solid and fun otherwise..... So, I would REALLY look forward playing this game. If I could just find a sword, so I would have a slight chance beating the soldier in the tent/cottage/house in the village. But he does not seem to impressed by my punches..... In the meantime I play MYST. Now, THAT is a game!!!!!!!!! Or Tempest. Or AvP. The only games that make my Jag fun so far...... (finished with IS, so, that is why it is not in the list anymore ) Why is Blue Lightning so crappy? could be a nice game. It is just not. The video is cool, so - and that's about it! And, does Space Ace continue to be so hectic as in the beginning - meaning, do you continue to die for every wrong move you make????? Sorry guys, I guess I am just a little bit upset about this Highlander thing.......
  5. The world is good again. I checked this web page with the repair tips & hints and tried the screwdriver method. So I just "squeezed" the platter up by turing the screwdriver and rotating the platter while doing that. Did this procedure until the platter was moving freely. Now I have a QUITLY working JagCD Thanks guys for your help!!!!!!!
  6. ok, so, here is my little problem with my Jag sound: I have the Jag connected to my Toshiba using this regular (F) connector to my TV. From there I use the "sound out" option (what is meant to go to a VCR - Video & Stereo out) and hooked that up to my receiver. The sound I am getting is crystal clear, but awfully quiet. I have to cank up my receiver all the way to hear it.... Doesn't sound right, does it?? How do you guys hook it up? do you split the signal right after it leaves the Jag??
  7. I actually tried Audio CD's first... No, it is indeeed the spindle that is stuck. And the link(s) you posted will help a big deal. I know what I am busy with tonight... Thank you very much.... btw.: you mentioned once you lived in the Frmhm, MA area? I am living in Marlboro right now... So, are you still in NE or did life bring you somewhere else????
  8. I finally had a chance to check my purchased CD Rom. And oh uh, it's not working right. the CD is not turning properly (too slow), sometimes it does not turn at all, sometimes it makes noises.... anybody knows something about this sort of issue?? the CD rom keeps on trying to read the cd and does not give me a CD error, but it also does not start...... Thanks for help/feedback
  9. What do you mean, the Aliens could climb on walls in the beta version? have you seen a beta version in action where that happened?
  10. 10 USD for the BOXED version?? I got space ace for a start - and myst like I said. So, battlemorph is woth it, uh? what other CD games are really good? Hmmm, I will jump up to the sky once i find a copy of Robinsons Requiem
  11. ok, I finally got my Jag CD unit. And Myst. Now the nights can become long and dark again - and cold BTW.: how much do you think is a fair price for a boxed Tempest 2000 these days?
  12. Memory track was the key thank you!
  13. Hi there... there was once a memory card available for the jag, was there? and if so - where could I get it. Checked Ebay for weeks and it did not pop up. thanks
  14. Ok guys, here it is: my desire to finally finish up this game. I played it years ago on my ST - and never got it managed to finish. Now, My ST is far away (one ocean across, in the attic of my parent's house), and so is the game.... I am wondering, wether someone knows, where to download/get the PC version of this game - and, is the PC version comparable to the (awsome) GFX and Sounds on the ST (yea, there was a time, when PC games SUCKED compared to ST games ).... Thanks for your help!
  15. As much as I know, Telegames developed a bunch of games by themselves after ATARI bounced. They usually have a Telegames Logo printed on the box. Some of the Telegames games are brandnew and wrapped, some are not - some have the entire package inlay (cartons, seperatated spot for cart & manual) but some come in a loose carton. But they are new (at least they smell like brandnew )
