I like this version, it's a decent arcade port. The Starpath Supercharger port was better obviously. How many people actually own one these days thou. Can't see the 2600+ supporting it...EVER! lol

I never had a Starpath Supercharger but I've heard of it.  Also, it would be nice if the 2600+ supported it.  Most likely this won't happen.  Unless some kind of an adapter comes out.

@the_rogue_1 You have some great picks! Now be careful! What you have to do here is hop down the road, get across the river. You’ll find yourself in the jungle. If you make it through the jungle. Jump in an X-WING and start shooting down some TIE Fighters!

    GOOD LUCK! 😆

I like this.  It's great.  And it would be cool to see Frogger pilot an X-Wing.  Lol.

Or in the case of Technos Arcade, don't get it if you don't have it. Save the $20.

I didn't favor the games on that collection.  When I got the Evercade VS, the game was included.

Here's the loose cart I got recently.  It's a good game.  I don't get that far.  But it's still fun to play.  At first the cart didn't work.  The screen was glitchy.  Then the loading failed message appeared.  After repositioning the cart it worked fine.

Not on the 2600+. It’s weird, you use the left joystick but control the character on the right in single player mode. 🤷‍♂️

When I played it on the Plus, I had the controller on the left and the character was also the left one.  I must've been doing 2 player mode.  Next time, I'll do the single player mode with the controller on the right.

This came in today. It took several re-inserts until the game was running on the 2600+. Looked better on my 130XE back in the days, but the essence of the game is there.

I have that game but it has a different label.  Also, it took a couple tries to get the cart to work on the console.  Sometimes a cart has to be inserted a certain way then it's fine.

If you get a chance, post some pics of your new additions

I will.  Usually I post photos of just the older games and not the homebrews.  Maybe this time, I'll show a picture of the homebrew.

Today I got my first AA Homebrew! It arrived a lot sooner than I expected.

    That's great.

For anyone who’s been on the fence, it’s well worth picking some up. I’ll definitely be getting more. 👍🏼

I have some homebrews from the AA store.  With another that I recently ordered.

The list is still there. Click Hardware then view compatibility list.

Okay.  I'll go back and check.  Because the list used to be in a different spot I thought.  Maybe they moved it or I just forgot.

Update: I just looked and saw the list.

I have it and it works on the Plus. I'm running the latest experimental firmware.

Good to know.  My console is on the default firmware.  If I got the game, I would play it on my 7800.  Hopefully it would work.  But as the person above mentioned, there are 2 different bank switching methods.  The only way to find out is to buy the game and see what happens.

I can't decide if I prefer Battlezone or Robot Tank. Both are great games.

Robot Tank is a little more difficult to me.  But still a good game.  I've played it as a ROM.  One day I'd like to get the cart.  I heard it might not work on a 7800.  Not sure if it works on the Plus.  I went to check the Atari website for the compatibility list and now it's gone.  It was there before.  The list was on the item page for the 2600+.  Hopefully they bring the list back.

So I purchased a cartridge in November and still haven't received it or any update on when I might.  I've contacted Atari twice with no update.  The order status when I log on to my account says unfulfilled. Just wondering if this is normal for them or If I need to start a fraudulent case with my CC.   I don't mind the wait but it would be nice if there was an update or at least some form of communication.  Thanks.

I bought the Berzerk enhanced cart from them last year.  It arrived with no problem.  Sorry to hear that you didn't receive your game yet.  Hopefully it all gets worked out.

  13. I like the Atari 2600+.  I think it's a nice clone console.  So far, every game has worked for me.  And I'm still using the default firmware.  Having a 2600 with HD output is great.  Also, the fact that it can play 7800 games is a bonus.

Like others have said in this thread, here's hoping for an Atari 5200+ ColecoVision+ & INTV+.

How about a Vectrex Plus?  I'd like that.  The console already has a screen but maybe it could connect to a TV using HDMI as well.  For those who want a larger display.  Also, the console would have built-in games with the option to add more via SD card.  If an updated Vectrex ever did come out, it would also have the ability to show a digital overlay on screen without the need to put one on like it was back in the day.  And of course the controller with updated features.  Anyway, who knows if this will ever happen.  Most likely it won't.  But it's fun to ponder the idea of it.

  14. I ordered another homebrew.  For some reason I didn't get my 5% off discount in the AA store.  I have the one year subscription and there's supposed to be a discount.  But maybe the discount is on certain items only.  Not a big deal, but would have been nice to save some money.  Anyway, I look forward to playing the new game once it arrives.

There is definitely a strong collectability component with 2600 carts that have interesting labels / shells.

I found that with the German carts I got.

I really like that the cart design can be so varied across different manufacturers.

I agree.  It's neat seeing the different designs of the labels/shells and carts.

I have never been able to figure Star Strike. The gameplay is confusing to me. One of these days I need to sit down with it and figure it out.

Same here.  To me the game is okay.  I was never much into it.  Even though I like space games.  I have the game on the INTV collection for Evercade.
