  1. Ah yes, this is definatley a classic, I can remember buying it from the toy store at the shopping centre (there is a health food store there now). $26 i think it was. I like it because the objective is simple: scoring points by doing varoius stunts. Yet it is complex in the variety of moves you can perform. The sound is excellent, with wolf whistles and other noises when you perform the varoius moves, and that background music is superoir to just about any other atari game I know (please prove me wrong so as to expand my knowledge. On top of that, it is one of the few games I have in my collection that still works 100% of the time, so naturally i play it alot.
  2. Certainly another anthology of sorts would be good. I'm not to sure another activision one would be in order, an imagic anthology sounds alright (even though I have only ever played one on my atari). I would like to see some of the original games like combat and some of the arcade conversions like missle command, asteroids and such. maybe call it Atari Anthology. However, I have the impression the Activision Anthology didn't sell to well, because I bought mine 2nd hand for $16 (here in Aus a 2nd hand PS2 game is normally $40). I guess mainstream gamers arent interested in classics
  3. Back in 1989 my cousin came up to stay with us and he brought his atari along, which was a gift for me and my sis, among the games we had (and still have today) were the activision titles, Pitfall, Laser Blast, Pressure Cooker, Barnstorming and Freeway. Although I cannot remember exactly which one we played first, it probably would have been Freeway, being the only one sis and I could play at the same time. By far my best memories would have to be with Pitfall and Barnstorming.
  4. Greetings Gentlemen, my first post here, forgive me if this topic has been brought up before, but I couldn't seem to find it on the forums. Regretably all three joysticks I own are broken, two work fine unless you want to use the forward direction, the other will not work if you want to go left, I suspect there is just dust in the controllers. Is there a way i can clean these joysticks, like take them apart and apply some cleaning agent? Is there a certain method that other members have found to work? Also, could I do the same with my 2600? I think it works alright, but undoubtedly years of use (and cupboard storage) probably have made it filthy. I hope someone could entertain this newbies ignorance and answer these simple questions.
