  1. @Charlie Cat, This is great news! Do you know when they will Kickstart/sell the MVS version?? Edit: I’ll even settle for a CD version!
  2. I’ve already told Anthony, so I wanted to tell the thread. I just reopened my Youtube account after buying a new capture device. To celebrate, I have recorded (and uploaded) a Longplay of Crossed Swords II. The audio is a little wonky because I was still learning to use the capture device, but I have a handle on it now. Future videos will not sound the same. Enough talk; enjoy the video! Please like the video and subscribe, please! (Recorded on REAL hardware!) @Charlie Cat @shane857
  3. @Charlie Cat and @shane857, I heard back from the person you said to contact, Anthony. He said the CDZ will be fine with the US power supply that was included in my package, so I don’t need a step-down converter. This is good news!!
  4. Thank you, @Charlie Cat! I just sent him a private message. I’ll let you know when I find out!
  5. @Charlie Cat @shane857 I always confuse this on the CD units. My CDZ comes with a US Power Supply, so should I buy this adapter? Is a step-down converter needed, despite my power supply being US? Edit: The answer I receive will determine whether I buy it or not.
  6. You can cheat in Magician Lord and Nam 75 by plugging a joystick into the second port and continuing.
  7. I forgot to mention that a playable prototype does exist for the Neo-Geo Pocket handheld system. In all honesty, I am not sure if one exists for the MVS/AES and CD systems, though. I did hear that a very wealthy collector has an MVS version, but refuses to dump the ROMs. This is all hearsay and it cannot be proven, since no name was ever given. Maybe we will see it someday, if any truth is behind the story.
  8. Excellent choice, @shane857. Magician Lord is an absolute favorite of mine; Nam 1975 is second. If you ever need advice to play the game (especially since it starts getting harder past level 2), I am here for you.
  9. Hey @Charlie Cat, Yes, the game is VERY expensive. Luckily, I won it in an auction for $91USD; the cheapest I have ever seen it. I can’t wait for it to arrive, so I can play it! I finally have a new capture device, which means I will record my gameplay. I’m so excited!
  10. I found (and bought) another gem for Neo-Geo CD: Voltage Fighter Gowcaiser! It has giant sprites, smooth animation, addictive gameplay and a killer sound track! Check it out here:
  11. I’m glad your copy finally arrived. It sounds like you’re having a lot of fun. It’s the best Zaxxon clone ever made, IMHO.
  12. I hope it’s not a mobile game. I love me some Rage of the Dragon on the Neo Geo.
  13. You won’t regret it, @shane857! It’s a great fighter despite it being rendered like Killer Instinct. The graphics are beautiful to say the very least. I love Galaxy Fight also, but be warned - the game has a program bug in-game that makes ALL opponents nearly impossible to beat. The only way around this issue is to play Alvin (the small fighter with a horn on his forehead) and use a lot of weak punches, kicks and throws to beat them. It’s a technique I’ve learned to play the game; not sure if others are aware of it. I recommend Galaxy Fight if you can find a copy cheap somewhere.
  14. Thank you for looking, @shane857. I no longer see the $800 copy of Ninja Commando. I hope no one bought it! Maybe an AES or MVS cartridge I can see selling for that price, but a CD? No way!
  15. Not including homebrews, my Neo Geo CD software library is nearing completion. I still have some earlier titles to buy (i.e. League Bowling, Ninja Commando, etc), but the prices have stopped me. $799USD for Ninja Commando is insane!
  16. Just bought a gem for $23! Ranagard Shinoken! The only 3D rendered fighter on the Neo-Geo CD/MVS/AES! It’s one of my favorites.
  17. What’s the point of comparing the two? Both consoles are fantastic imho. The Neo-Geo and its arcade games and the Jaguar with its 3D titles and excellent homebrew releases. Both have (and do have) a place in my gaming room.
  18. I’ve had it in my collection for quite some time. The video did inspire me to play it again. The CPU kicked my ass and I lost, but I had a lot of fun regardless. Lol
  19. Gladmort is coming to MVS and Neo CD? @shane857, did you hear that? It’s coming to Neo CD! Since I’ve already spent too much money, I’ll buy the Neo Geo CD version instead. The wife looks at me sideways when I mention expensive new releases on MVs. Lol
  20. Playing the best baseball game on Neo-Geo CD….
  21. I have Viewpoint on CD and it’s a great game. It’s basically Zaxxon with balls! 😂 The boss battles are incredibly difficult, though. Nice price on a fantastic purchase, @shane857!
  22. If you check the comments section in the video I posted, Gladmort is only coming to the AES. That stinks. If this is true, I won’t be buying it. I really want an MVS version.
