  1. (This starts as a rant aginst ebay, yes, but then ends up being an item for sale so if it needs to be moved to the auction forum go ahead.) Okay, so I won $500 in gift cards from Circuit City in a drawing. Wow, yes, but what I really need right now is the money. So I was ready to let them go at a deal to someone and listed them seperately $100 gift cards at $95 BIN. So I've been away from eBay for awhile and did not know they had a new rule. Apparently you can list only ONE giftcard at a time, no more than $500 value, and only one per week. So they pulled my auctions. Though I don't really understand why they have these limits I dutifuly relisted as a $500 gift card, one auction, to meet their requirements. So someone grabs it at my $475 BIN price. But now I think I've been screwed again. The bidder signed up the same day, has zero feedback (obviously), and has made no effort at all to contact me since using the Buy It Now. I don't think I'm getting paid. So if anyone here wants to buy the Circuit City Gift Card I will sell it for $470. I can even email you the card numbers and PINs if you want to use them right away online. PayPal please. PM me if interested. Rogueleader1977 is my eBay name if you want to check out my feedback. I've been around here for awile just not very active lately. Thanks!
  2. Well I have been here almost two years now. Been active on and off, sometimes more than others. However, I did not find the little jingle under the 'Have You Played Atari Today?' logo until well, today! So has it always been there?
  3. I think it depends on how you look at it. Many of you are assuming that the OP means to collect every game. Therefore the point about something like the PS1 would be valid. Not because of individual price but shear volume. However that would mean that the collector would want every year of Madden Football, ESPN football, EA Sports football etc. On the other hand you have some sytems with very expensive individual cartridges. I may collect Atari, however I could not ever imagine owning a Video Life cartridge. Nor would I pay an enormous sum for one. So my view of collecting cannot be of manifest destiny but rather collecting quality carts at a price I can live with.
  4. There are a bunch of these and they are all selling! I can't believe people continue to fall for it. This one went for almost $800! http://cgi.ebay.com/XBOX-360-SELL-XBOX-360...1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. Not free coins but once I was playing one of those 'Spin to Win' ticket games (the one with the wheel of fortune style wheel and the balls that roll down the ramp into slots) I dropped a ball and when I went to pick it up I discovered that the pins behind the slots that caused the wheel to spin were completely accessible. The game was set up that if you ended on 'Jackpot' two times in a row you got a whole bunch of tickets. So tap-tap-tap and tap-tap-tap an two minutes later I landed on 'Jackpot' twice. However in a cruel (but just) twist of fate the machine only gave up about 40 of the 400+ tickets before it ran out. Oh well.. all the prizes were crap anyways. On the more honest side of arcade winning I have a friend who is a complete genius on a crane machine. We were at a bowling alley near our college when we noticed that there were five dollar bills strapped to some of the stuffed animals. My friend pops in a quater and picks one up on the first try. The others were burried but no problem he simply moved the other things out of the way. $3.50 cents later we had several watches, sunglasses, too many stuffed animals, and oh yeah $30! We went back several times and the guy never put money in his machine again.
  6. I am looking for help with two machines I recently purchaced. If you know where I can get help with ticket redemption (non-video) style games please let me know. Or raed my more lengthy explanation if you have any suggestions yourself. Thanks! I recently purchaced two ticket redemption games at a flea market, on a lark. I got a pretty good deal on them ($75 each). Their cabinets are in very good condition and they work, with a few issues. One game is called Fielder's Choice (by Bay-Tek). It is one of those games where you roll the ball down a ramp into slots to win points. The only issue that this game seems to have is that there are a few burnt out light bulbs and it is turned up to loud. At least that is what I assume is going on the speaker makes a noise even when there is no sound and the music is really loud. But I can't find a volume control knob anywhere. I also got a machine called Jungle Rock (by American Alpha) In this one you shoot a pinball up a ramp and it comes down through pegs pachinko style into a lit slot to win points. I think the coin mechs are screwed up on this one. It is designed to take tokens but when I put a token in (the tokens were already on the machine) the token just sits there and doesn't go down into the machine. I took the coin mechs apart but admittedly don't know much about it. I found what appears to be the coin trigger (a brass jagged-edge piece that taps against a round brass piece) when I tap it nothing happens. I figured out how to trick the machine into giving me 1,000+ credits by plugging in and unplugging the coin acceptor and then resetting the machine. So I am pretty sure that the PC board and everything else works okay. So my question on this is how to fix or replace the coin mech and also if there is a free play switch anywhere. Are coin mechs unique to each company .machine or can I replace it with another type? Any help would be appreciated or if someone knows where I can get this help it would be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. I recently purchaced a game at a flea market that has small clear bulbs that go behind the red scoreboard plastic. I found several different types on the internet. how can I tell which replacement bulbs I need? these are about the size of mini christmas bulbs but rounded on the end. thanks!
  8. I had to tell a lady at a fleamarket last year the same thing. She had original Nintendo games out with a N64!
  9. everything is fine here. very nice!
  10. I have up for sale three items- Tax Avoiders Almost MINT LABLE (slight lifting on te top) $15 Shipped XONOX Spikes Peak/ Ghost Manor double ender lable good but kind of spotted $12 Shipped Cosmic Command controler fair condition $15 Shipped Will post pictures later. Thanks!
  11. The reason it was so different from the first is that it originally wasn't even a Mario game. What it's original title was I can't recall, but Nintendo wanted a new title in a hurry so they just took a game they were already developing and put Mario in it.
  12. Even still he is 7' tall. I guess Joseph would have made a heck of a b-ball player!
  13. So, I know some of you probably think they are tacky, but I like to collect those airblown Christmas inflatables that have become popular recently. It all started several years ago when they first appeared at Lowes. I bought a snowman and have gotten a new one every year since. I now have five! Anyway, I was looking to see if there was such thing as an airblow Nativity scene. Sure enough I came across this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW However, is it just me or does Joseph look kind of Italian? I can't quite put my finger on it but something is definately wrong here.
  14. I recieved my gift today! Wow was that fast! To whomever it was, thank you very much! The extra little suprize was very nice too! Thank you!!
