  1. So i just discovered a large assortment of original floppies and boxed floppy software for the C64. I know some titles may be worth some $$, like the complete Maniac Mansion, but what about bare bones floppy originals? Would a original Boulder Dash disk be valuable? ect ect..
  2. So I just looked at the two mentioned websites. Are there really people paying 200$ for a refurbed 1040stf and 120 or more for a monitor? Really? Seriously? Is there a sub culture that uses these actively?
  3. So I agree after seeing other tweety board pics. So what good is the stereo upgrade used for? Any software take advantage of it. By that I mean games, not music software. And yeah, I am gonna take both ST's apart and reseat the chips. I would love to have TOS 1.4 by then to do it all at once.
  4. The 'drop' is actually in a few Atari ST FAQ's I have found. Here is the verse.. 3.5 The Universal 4 Inch Drop Fix. A common problem on Atari ST computers is socketed chip connections coming loose. The symptoms are erratic behaviour, sudden resets, unexpected bombs, blank screen (white), disk errors, etc... This is the result of the PCB aging, heating, dilating, warping, slowly easing the chips out of there sockets. A common, and quick fix to this is the famous 4 inch drop, and it goes like this: * Switch off the machine, * Lift it horizontally about 4 inches (10 cm) above the desktop, * Drop it. As silly as it may sound, this sometimes works, reseating the chips and solving the problem. The result is not 100% guaranteed however. If the problem still occurs you probably have a more serious problem. Of course, another (more professional) option is to take apart the machine and reseat all the chips by hand.
  5. So I got 2 1040STf's with hardrives, 2 color monitors, 1 monochrome and a variety of software. Questions I have! 1. both STf's worked fine after doing the 'drop'. What should I be looking to do overhaul these? re-seat all chips? add new TOS chips? 2. One of them has a cord sticking out from practical solutions that has 3 RCA female connectors on it labeled A B C. What is this? 3. Who would I goto for a better than version 1.0 of TOS? 4. The RCA computer supposedly has a ram upgrade, how do I find how much it has now. 5. How do the hard drives function? do I need driver disks? Thanks! Dan
  6. I need all of these CIB for 32x! Zaxxonmother Base NFL QB Club Afterburner Fahrenheit RBI Baseball 95 Cosmic Carnage Night Trap Supreme Warrior Pitfall World Series Baseball Thanks Dan Ps. I do have things to trade if $$$ isn't up yer alley!
  7. Famicom also got great ports of Frontline, Galaxian, & Mappy!
  8. Amazing wall. There are times when as many Uprights as I have, doesn't compare to this. Way awesome.
  9. Agreed. And... I love that Pacman. I would love to have an entire arcade of just the mini cabs like that. Eric, you can't see it, but on the other side is a mini Ms. Pac also
  10. The room actually has an entrance through the garage! No stairs involved! The mystery game is a dedicated POOYAN! One of my faves. Space Ace is great, just as fun with a bit more talking...
  11. Thanks all, just goes to show you that you can still collect crap through a divorce!
  12. Games, well the ARCADE specifically.. Sorry for the dark shots, I am working with a older camera. St. Bernard killed my nicer one by shoving it off a table. Not all my games can be seen, I hope to post more pics soon, including my studio with all my console stuff. Thanks!
  13. Same here! loved Space Ace, Dragon's LAir, AND COBRA COMMAND... Play it in Mame all the time now.. Laser games are great..
  14. Never pass a cart up you may want in the future. I did that back in the day when I started collecting and I regret not getting them. It's alot harder now to come by this stuff. What I'm saying is, 5200 or anything else falls into your hands you buy it! It is all but dry here in the Milwaukee area, I wish it was back in the early 90's.. lots of stuff.
  15. They add up fast don't they? Now you need to add a 5200 to that mix...
  16. I have multiple of both 4 and 2 port systems.. Also only missing one game from the collection, and half of the them are boxed!
  17. Well, thanks to your post, I had to get a Dracula also.. It loooooked so sweet. Thanks! Do you have a definitive list? Maybe some of us can help you out a bit..
  18. It seems as if quite a lot of ALL classics systems are "buy it now" at really outrageous pricing.. I'm finding it all over the place.
  19. Well I have no intention of going against a programmers wishes for a repro. And as for the 8Bit, I have heaps of that stuff from back in the day. The A8 cart isn't cheap either!
  20. You are lucky, often it is both screen/power supply for screen and board problems. Vectors games are fun but a real B____ to fix sometimes. Congrats on yours working! Gratz to you! Mine is still needing some work, and by work I mean putting back in all the components that the old ower removed for me and placed in a box.. sigh
  21. There is no reasonable price where that title is concerned thanks to ebay. My only hope to ever have that one is to come across it at a yard sale, thrift shop or flea market. I was waiting along time ago for news of maybe a reproduction sanctioned by the author, but I've known now for a while that will never happen..
  22. Ok well seeing as I only need BB Strikes Back, how much would one expect to reasonably pay for a cart only of this title? I Never have had a full release collection, and it would be great to nail away at least one.
  23. I did just look and it indeed is the 2MB version with the '93 on it.
  24. Have the following Items for TRADE. I don't need cash, but if you really want something it doesn't hurt to ask I suppose. 25. To be honest, I'm a little nervous of a stack of old floppies sitting next to a Guitar Amp.. And as a old Milwaukee Atari User, it would be a shame if those were damaged. Long Live the 8-Bit!
