Yeah, Analogue has pretty much soured me from buying anything else. Lack of communication and updates just doesn't sit well with me.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't get back quick enough.
So, I changed composite sync to 1 and direct video to 1, and that fixed the issue. Works perfectly on the BVM now. Much appreciated for all the help.

Yeah man.. I can give you my mister.ini as soon as I can locate my mister! I misplaced it very recently.. it's probably in the garage where my tv is still at so I'll locate it tomorrow and paste it here.
That said, I used this as my starting point, he mostly focuses on PVM but mentions settings to use for component out as well:
I couldn't change my settings via the GUI (no monitor), so I'd just take out the SD card and modify it with notepad on a laptop. I had to experiment a little since no one gave me a setting that showed a clear picture to my particular TV set. Aside from the standard stuff, I believe the final key for me was setting "Forced_scandoubler" to 1 and that finally gave me a clear picture in addition to the suggested settings. But again, I'll upload my mister.ini here when I can get it.
Thanks a bunch to both! I'll go over the video and guide link. Much appreciated.

So I finally got around to configuring a MiSTer.ini to do analog component video out, onto a TV I got from the junkyard, and man it looks great!
HDMI output is more flexible with the display options (rotation, filters, resolution, masks, etc).. but THAT SAID, just the way it looks on a CRT is definitely my preference and with a component signal (I'll probably never get a PVM) is still super nice.. Once I can get this heavy-ass TV into the house, I'll probably dedicate the MiSTer to it and call it a day.
Can you share the settings to get this to work on consumer crt and pvm/bvm? I had it working before, and I don't remember how I configured it lol.

Did you ask them about it?
Just wanted to follow up with this. Support stated even if it's out of warranty, they'll fix it for free.

Yes, but haven't gotten a response.

I saw some early speculation on Reddit that the included power supply or HDMI cable was possibly the culprit. That was from a guy that had his replaced under warranty twice for the issue. I bought higher quality replacements as a precaution.
It's frustrating that I can't find anything official from Analogue on this.

Yeah, thanks for all the replies on this. So, I have the first Noir that was sold, and the second I bought for my son who lives on his own. We just aren't going to use them until I know what the best option is to do at this point.

Anyone familiar with the NT mini Noir having some defect; like something to do with a sponge, and being shocked or feeling tingling when touching it?

Got a shipping notice today.

I must be doing something wrong lol.
Trying to use my Super NT, hdmi out obviously, to a portta hdmi to component box. Then component out from portta to the GBS-C AIO > VGA/BNC to BVM-D20F1U. Can't get it to work lol. Works properly going from Super NT to Analgoue DAC to bvm.
Any suggestions? Settings are working for Nintendo Switch to portta > portta to GBS > BVM via vga/bnc.
I got it all sorted. I'm guessing the firmware was just too old. Updated the GBS-C AIO firmware, and all is good now.

Ugh. Finally got around to using the DAC. It was so pretty opening the box lol. Anyways. Going from Super NT > DAC > Sony BVM-D20F1U via BNC Component with external sync connected. Using the HDMI cable from that I've been using with the SNT without issue. However, doing through the DAC I'm getting the NO SIGNAL blocky letters. I've tried it with five other HDMI cables and still the same issue. All cables work with the SNT to LCD. Any suggestions? I tried looking for a possible firmware update, but didn't find one.
Posted this in the discord analogue help section. Hopefully someone can help.

When I placed my pre-order, my understanding was that the “gunmetal finish” they advertised was going to be “gunmetal gray”. Was that not the understanding others had? Maybe “Noir” was a bad pick for naming?
I mean, definitely a bad pick for the name.

Mine came in earlier today.. Fed Ex, on a Sunday! Driver said his area is working seven days a week.

It doesn't seem like they sell very much stuff to cover the salaries of 12 people.
Now we know where the shipping costs go lol.

Shipping in May 2021, maybe. lol

I pre-ordered knowing that if it wasn't something I wanted to hold on to, I could sell it at cost or profit without any issues.

I wanna jailbreak my DAC to use with non-Analogue devices.

Maybe they should do a kickstarter thing for the update lol.
