  1. @kevtris, Would it be possible in the future for the Super Nt to dump game saves? That's a feature I'd love to see considering, I have some saves that's going on being 20+ years old.
  2. Sorry for the hijack, but as a Nt mini owner this is something I'd like to know myself for future reference. If this was a hardware problem any idea which component\s could possibly cause it?
  3. replying to the last part of your video so you know, newer rgb mods for the N64 also has a deblur option. I've been thinking about going hdmi myself but already having a rgb modded N64 its hard to justify the cost.
  4. Did I just find a model 2 3/4 VA4 Its got the 3/4 board and its also got the square cut outs so it should be a VA4. I'm not really interested in it myself but after reading this thread I wanted to see how hard it was to find one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-Game-Console-2-Controllers-and-10-Games-Bundle-/391907006551?hash=item5b3f7a5857%3Ag%3A6GoAAOSwwohZ4niD&_trkparms=pageci%253A420160d3-b68d-11e7-960d-74dbd180f1a1%257Cparentrq%253A402f10a915f0ab4d2c0e79e8ffff2473%257Ciid%253A5 quote from sega-16 "To tell the two boards apart, look for two square cutouts on the metal plate. If the cutouts are absent like on the console pictured above, it has a VA3 board in it. If the cutouts are there, it's a VA4. There are two different variants of the VA4, one made by Sega with the usual model number of MK-1631 and one made by Majesco with a different model number of MK-1451."
  5. I don't believe you missed anything, I just tested Ice climber with player 2 and no problems here. So it looks like a problem with your hardware. wow that's bad luck I guess.
  6. I'm the one on nesdev that messaged you about the audio bug with the asus monitor on the hi-def kit, now with the nt mini before this recent update it worked pretty good only taking a few secs for the audio kick in on some games. but after this latest update I can confirm that it completely fixed it.
  7. Nope you just reminded me, completely forgot about that
  8. On the Nt mini I use a asus vg248qe with really good results, tried it on a 65in vizio with really bad results, almost unplayable with the lag that tv outputs. The monitor or tv really makes the difference when it comes to hdmi.
  9. Figured out video settings while playing, thanks a post above. Also figured out that the video mode shortcut key I was triggering was switching between rgb and hdmi. I just keep both hooked up now so I can switch between sets.neat
  10. I had some trouble with this also, Hold the sync button on the receiver for 3 seconds then hold (I believe the start button on the controller until it syncs) don't quote me on this because I had alot of trouble also.
  11. Mine just showed like a hour ago already had everything setup ready to go once it arrived. Only trouble I ran into was it didn't want to recognize the update for some reason? but it finally did, not sure what I did to fix it.. But everything seems to be working great, tested rgb on the pvm, no issues at all with my generic cable. I haven't figured out how to open the video menu either while playing in hdmi, seems to go to a black screen when I hit the shortcut keys. I may be doing it wrong oh well I'll mess with it later. Really enjoying it so far
  12. Guys I feel your all being trolled.lol why waste your time responding. I can see the benefits of fpga, I don't really care if someone else chooses not to.
  13. Thanks! I believe it will work then, out of those 3 pins only pin10 is grounded.
  14. Any damage if the cable does short the detect lines? how could I test that before trying the cable edit: Looking through analogue nt mini pdf guide, it shows pin10 is the detection pin. My pin10 on this cable is grounded, so I'm not sure.hmm
  15. I'm curious, would a standard db15 to bnc rgb+hv cable work on the nt mini??. I have one similar to this that I already use on my PVM. Would it work to output to my pvm from the mini.
  16. Everyone has their opinion, but I'm curious what scaling issue are you referring
  17. Its corrupted pixels that give a speckle effect. rezb1t explained it pretty good. to see the problem yourself load up a game like iron tank, the problem shows itself not to far in the game. I made a video showing it, be sure to watch it in 1080p full screen cause its really hard to see on a youtube video. I might be nitpicking but when you pay good money for upgraded video you don't want to see any problems like that. Its a problem with the ext pin on the ppu chip. normally this pin is grounded on a org nes but with the kits its used to output pixel data, its a fundamental problem and can't be fixed.
  18. @rezb1t "pixel speckling" is the exact reason why I upgraded from the hi-def nes. That's really good to know its not in the Nt Mini. I should be receiving my mini on Tuesday can't wait to test it out.
  19. I sold my Hi-def nes to help pay for the nt mini. I can't give no final thoughts cause I haven't received the nt mini yet, but I've watch countless videos\reviews to help me make my decision and one big advantage is the extra cores from the jailbroken firmware. @icemanxp300 the classic mini, isn't that using software emulation. In most cases software emulation either has too much lag and not fully accurate with alot of games. I'm sure most people buying something like the hi-def or nt mini are looking for accuracy and little as possible lag. oh btw the nt mini with the jailbroken firmware has a built in flashcart, and can play many different systems besides just the nes. I know for me the classic mini never even crossed my radar, my options were either rgb\hidef\avs or the nt mini.
  20. Interesting, I haven't been able to order yet cause they are sold out. I was hoping to order one once they get off the boat. Hopefully they got plenty of stock, to handle pre-orders like yours and new purchases also.
