The issue that I have with the 2600 version is the rock stage. Going under the rocks is part of the game. How the controls work just plain suck. I do agree the game is great of that issue was fixed.
There is a lot lacking in the CV game. Look at the water scene. Also when you get a shark it doesn't show the 100 points. Even the 2600 version can do that.
Agree on arcade version, though I like the colors on th e5200 better.
I started playing around with retro games again and Jungle Hunt was always one of my favorites. I tried it on a CV emulator attached to the TV. It just didn't seem "right". I remember having it for my Atari 5200 back in the day. Now... I don't have an Atari 5200 so I had to watch some videos on YouTube of the game play and graphics. I have to say the 5200 has very sharp graphics compared to the Colecovision. Is the a8 as good as the 5200? The Atari 2600 version is junk as you can hardly play the rock scene. It is all messed up. Just garbage.
Thoughts?
If anyone wants to contact the main programmer that was doing Atari computer games at the time, please hit me up. I have tracked him down. I was going to try but have personal issues that came up.

Well... There are some programmers that can program a great ATARI game. Not sure if you are one of them as I haven't seen what you can program. It doesn't take a degree in Rocket Science to be able to tell if a game is any good or not. (Yes... I was a programmer. Didn't bother me one bit when non programmers criticized by games.) To each his own I guess....
