  1. Some of these, like Seaquest and Ice Hockey, I have always been able to achieve the patch scores rather easily. However others like Crackpots and Dolphin I haven't even come close to achieving. Has anyone ever achieved all the scores for Grand Prix? I've gotten the first race several times, but never any of the others. I've always found it so hard to remember where all the gaps are after the first bridge.
  2. Activision definitely made some of the best games of all time. They were visionaries in this industry. Here's my list in no particular order: Frostbite Stampede Pitfall Pitfall II Pressure Cooker Freeway Seaquest Decathlon Starmaster Ice Hockey Also, I do own both Checkers and Bridge, mostly just for completion's sake. And yes, they would probably rank near the bottom of the list, but I do play them every now and then. The actual checkers in Activision Checkers have a slightly more 3-D look to the pieces than the Atari version.
  3. I am really looking forward to getting this, it looks awesome! How long do you think it will take to complete all four volumes, the rest of this year or longer? Just wondering.
  4. I'm saving it to the desktop first, then I try to extract them. What's weird is that I downloaded several ROMs the other day and had no problem at all. When I try to extract the files now, it says that there are no files in the folder. I also tried downloading some Super Nintendo ROMs and I am having the same problem, when a couple of days ago everything was fine.
  5. I'm having some trouble with the ROMs that I download. When I try to extract the files from the zip folder, it says that the folder is invalid or corrupt. But the other day I had no problem with the extracting. Has anyone else been having this problem, or maybe is there a problem with my computer?
  6. Thanks a lot for the info! I never thought about going down first at the beginning. I just finished game 3. Thanks again!
  7. I have been playing this game for a while and I am having a little trouble. I can never seem to find the staff. I believe you need to offer the staff at the Temple of Ra, however I can never find it. Where does it come from? The other temples, Isis, or a nomad trader? Thanks for your help.

I've been playing this game from the Activision Anthology and I am stumped on what I should do next. I know how to get the first super crystal by bringing each of the other crystals back to the den. But after this I am lost. I have tried to bring back each crystal from rooms 5, 6, and 7, but each time I do, the den doesn't seem to accept it. The counter at the bottom of the screen does not increase when I bring the crystal to the den. The other thing that is tough is when you acquire a crystal you cannot touch any of the platforms as you fly back to the den, otherwise you lose the crystal and have to go all the way back and start over, which really sucks. Thanks for any help that I receive.
  9. Ever since I purchased the Atari 80-games-in-one I have been trying to understand these Swordquest games. I have gone to the website that has the solutions for all three games, but I still don't understand how a person can figure out which item has to be in which room. Earthworld is the only one of the three games that the comic book is included on the CD ROM. I have read through that thing ad nauseum and I still don't see where it shows that the short sword needs to be in the Virgo room or the lamp in Libra. I'm sure that some trial and error is necessary, but if all of it is trial and error then I guess I understand why this game is hated so much. Then with Fireworld, the solution says that you need to have one item in a room and four items in another room to trigger one of the word clues. How the hell can a person figure this out by reading the comic book? I guess I am hoping that there is a particular pattern that I can figure out, but for the life of me I can't.
  10. I have the version for the PC, and now I can finally say that I did it. About 20 minutes ago I finally earned the H.E.R.O. patch. I just focused and got it. Whew! I believe I have unlocked all the commercials and the gameplay modes.
  11. This is one of the greatest things I have ever come across in my life. I have been playing all these games for a couple of months now and they just don't get boring. I'm working on earning all the patches, however I am just one short. I can't for the life of me earn the H.E.R.O. patch. I get to around level 11 or 12 and I just lose it. Even though it gets a little frustrating, I still enjoy playing it.
  12. I walked into a computer game store about 2 months ago when I saw both the Activision Anthology and the Atari 80-in-one collections. I couldn't believe my eyes. Most of the games that I played 20 years ago were all together. I've been playing seemingly non-stop ever since.
