  1. 232,300 I gotta do well on this game since it's making it all personal by calling me by my actual name So far it seems much harder than it is, since everything takes multiple hits. Really, though it's more "slow advancing" than "hard." Seems like most enemies have a border that you can just stand outside of and whack 'em when they come by. Takes longer, but pretty easy. Reminds me of how Foghorn Leghorn used to treat that dog....
  2. 25,853 I fell in to one of those "no way out" rooms, it seems, so I'm dun fer
  3. That's what I thought. It's been a while, but I added 1 of everything to the cart on day 1, and the only adapter that was in the order was the Game Gear.
  4. What's the deal with this part (from your screenshot) There's a key there, but I'm not seeing any way out of there without losing a life.
  5. That's been up since yesterday and nobody has found a bunch of typos yet? Guess they're getting better.
  6. 14,549 I think I'm gonna dig this one. I'm just gonna pretend I'm playing as the bad guy from Keystone Kapers in his very own story.
  7. Was checking out the manual for this one Ghost House Manual ... and this part just seems rude and likely to hurt some undead feelings --
  8. 409,800 I struggle with crows when I'm on a rope. Not sure why, but I just can't hit them consistently.
  9. Yeah... I dunno if I should be ashamed of myself, go to confession, or accept that she showed up in a bra and packin' a whip, so "a good time for all" was implied.
  10. 51,000 Guess I went from 5th place (currently) to "5th place with style." I think I'm done with this one though. It almost makes me turn into one of those "cussing at the tv" type of gamers.
  11. Try to pick up the axe before you get there. It makes it MUCH quicker. For me, I can never stand toe to toe with him. If he's on the ground, I turn chicken and run to get him to fly. Then run under and stab up a few times. It looks ridiculous, but nobody's in the room with us to tell anyone. You can also prepare by pausing and playing this, but listening to that that might be considered cheating due to the increase in awesomeness it causes
  12. 33,785 I should probably be ashamed to post this score, but I'll set the bar nice n' low for a bit 🤣
  13. Yeah, I saw one. We've been friends a while. I intentionally avoided him though with hopes he wouldn't see me because I had crap to do and wasn't in the mood to stop for small talk
  14. 320,700 I have this game on Genesis, but have never played the NES version before today, I don't think. It's pretty impressive and seems more advanced that the system should allow, at times. It took a few tries before I developed the habit of keeping my distance 3x more than what it "feels like" I should to avoid getting hit. Pretty cool that we already have a few scores that are higher than the 2008 AA high score.
  15. I didn't watch all that, so I'm sure "in context" it's different, but when I did click on it while scrolling, it jumped right to a part where he says "Amico C*nts I sweartogod... they all need a smack" and thought he was referring to the Amico team and their youtube town crier types. So whether intended or not, I will now always think of the Amico team and such as "Amico C*nts who need a smack" thanks to that guy! Also... are they a user on here? With their user name, seems like they'd be part of forum called "AtariAge," but I haven't seen that type of mentally unhinged anger, I don't think.
  16. Rastan -- 383,790 Finished Rastan this weekend. 😀 I guess the score's ok, but if Twin Galaxies is to be believed, the #1 score is 31,139,300. So either I'm missing a ton of strategies/secrets, or they're full of crap. I may read up on it a bit to see if there's anything I missed and give it another couple runs. If not, though, I think I'll spend the next few days seeing if Lord of the Sword ever clicks with me.
  17. That sort of thing has a way of escalating into something like this --
  18. I was never allowed to play my game systems on the nice "main" TVs in the house, because all the adults were 100% certain it was gonna break the TV. Funny thing is, though, seems like they were always breaking anyways, and my uncles were always hauling them off to town and coming back with a new one they traded it in for.
  19. Lord of the Sword -- 205,000 I had to take a break from Rastan and spent a few plays on Lord of the Sword. I think I would have loved this one as a kid. I like it quite a bit, but don't like the "I don't know where I'm supposed to go" vibe that I have. If nothing gets in the way of Sunday play time, I hope to finish Rastan tomorrow. A couple of tricky jumps near the end ruined my last 3 runs.
  20. Sounds like you just didn't look at it from the right angle. At 6'0 and 185, you could have been the "Andre the Giant" of midget wrestling and gone far by working that gimmick!
  21. By Crom! I thought I was gonna steam roll through Rastan like I could many years ago, but it's putting up a bit of a fight. Not at all like riding a bicycle.
  22. Yep, do it. Sneak up there and tweak the rules a bit and I'll pretend it was like that all along 🙂
  23. I usually play on one of these, depending on the game and where I am at the time -- Sega Genesis with Power Base converter Mega SG MISTER And I do have light gun n' glasses
