  1. I just bought a couple rebuilt 5200 controllers from Best Electronics. At $43 each they aren't cheap, however they work amazingly well and I think are warrantied for a while. All of the buttons and circuits that go bad are replaced with newly redesigned ones (I'm not sure on the warranty) http://best-electronics-ca.com/5200.htm Don't be put off by the website. (it's a mess)
  2. Yes you can, however I think you can only filter out up to 10 sellers. I do this with most of my saved searches. (If anyone knows how to filter more than 10 sellers, please let me know)
  3. I'm looking for these items outlined below. I'm willing to pay $55 for NTSC Boing! and $25 for Subterranea, plus reasonable shipping. I am looking for carts in good condition with labels fully intact without peeling. Scuffs and minor blemishes from normal wear and tear are okay. Thanks for looking.
  4. *Here are two games that were factory sealed before I opened them - If this isn't specific enough, let me know. Bump 'n' Jump: Cart (Blue text on black, © 1983, Singapore) Box 7045-0210 2x Manual 7045-0950-G1 Catalog 0151-0050 Commando: Cart AK-043-04 Box AK-043-02 Manual AK-043-03 Yellow Registration Card AG-946-89 Blue Activision 90-Day Warranty Card AG-940-00 "Revised: 06/88" I know Bump n Jump is already listed, but I was really just curious if anyone else has ever found "double manuals" in Bump n Jump or any other M-Network game?
  5. I will definitely get one of these, it looks great and I don't have any flash cart solutions. I think a newsletter to keep everyone aware of important updates would be great, I know I would definitely benefit from it. Keep up the good work, it looks very promising!
  6. I'm pretty sure that splitter will not work. I would use a regular rca switchbox, only using the a single RCA port for RCA style the RF leads from the consoles, then just use one of the RCA to coaxial adapters for the output from that switch box to the coaxial TV input. They do make straight coaxial switchboxes as well, but they aren't as easy to come by. I know I have a 2x and 3x ones from radio shack, but I'm not sure if they still carry them.
  7. I agree. I really love this game when I have someone I can play against. But since that doesn't happen very often, there are countless other games I usually play instead.
  8. The first one that came to my mind have already been mentioned, so I second these ones: Boing! Entombed
  9. The best part about all of this is that the article for the original Pac-man arcade game states 1982 as the date in the 2600 port section. Tempest, this is the person who undid Jibba's edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Wgungfu
  10. I'm going! I'm getting a booth with some friends to sell stuff (no atari items, though). It's a really great show, and I encourage everyone here to go. I got some very good deals on some 2600 games at the May TooManyGames show.
  11. Holy shit! Why would someone do that. And NO, I am NOT happy about that! It's because someone associated with DP (take a guess) was spamming DP links in various articles, as well as vandalizing other pages (removing links to AtariAge and AtariProtos.com, for instance). They left behind a pretty big trail of evidence, and DP was subsequently blacklisted from Wikipedia. ..Al There was no "they." DP.com is currently blacklisted, whatever that entails. The Wikipedia entry for DP was removed on the basis of notability, and there are still a bunch of articles that cite the DP website. Edit - edited info on blacklisting
  12. The first time I got to the tree level I died, but got a new high score: 125,081 They do eat the gems, you hear a beep sound when they get eaten by the enemy. To get the high score, you have to make a mad dash to where the balls are (as they are falling into the level) in order to eat the gems by them before they start moving and eat them.
  13. If you see me, please introduce yourself. I'll make sure to stop by and nag you about Phoenix 4.
  14. Is anyone from AA going? I would love to meet some fellow Atari enthusiasts.
  15. I finally got past that first tower level with the ghost, and nearly doubled my score 101,696 Nice job! Do you think 2711 is the max? I'm still not sure if any of the ones that start under the ball enemies get eaten.
  16. I guess I stand corrected! Very impressive! Thanks, I wish I was better at the harder levels though! Here is my high score so far:
  17. I'm pretty sure this is every crystal on the board totalling 2711 points, though I didn't go counting them all. Since I played on a real console it was tough to get a perfect snapshot. I did it a few times and this was the best I was able to come up with. Before last crystal: Inbetween level 1 and 2:
  18. I still can't beat the first "tower level" with the ghost. No matter how well I do I always end up losing all my lives. RJ - That is a nice score I agree, it should be made an official challenge!
  19. Private Eye is a great game that is often overlooked.
  20. I too seem to have hit a wall between 48k and 51k my past three games. I think I'm going to give it a rest for a day and come back to it. That usually helps.
