2005 will be a good year for 2600 homebrews!
dwh replied to Cybergoth's topic in Homebrew Discussion
I have three different versions of Warring Worms(don't know just how many different ones there were--did miss out on the version that had the green pouch)So it's great to actually see a "new" version coming. Looks like more people are getting into the programming of the 2600.If I did not have 25 acres of land to care for I'd love to get into programming again;I'll get around to it when I have absolutely nothing else to do.... Loosley translates to NEVER. -
Just as a heads up, the game is enclosed in a zip-lock anti-static bag, so you can safely open it and then return the game when you're done playing. ..Al DOUH!! Thought it was like the last release. It's alright, I'll put the extra copy on display next to the old one in my bookshelf.

I got a complete copy (not shrinkwrapped) a while back for about $50.Almost did not get it though, ebay seller was nice enough to remind me that I did not respond/pay after a month;I had lost track of time...
-
Since I already "sold my soul to rock and roll",selling my Atari collection would be trivial.
-
I gave away an Atari 2600 to someone, so they could play this game. Dragonfire is THAT good...
-
The checks in the mail. Also pre-ordered 2 copies of Ultra SCSIcide;one to actually play, the other to leave in its anti-static bag. So, basically, this weeks paycheck is gone...
-
So no cheesy paper box like the one I got for Allia Quest years ago. I have all these games, but being the insane collector I am, I'll end up buying the whole bundle anyway.

Cockpit can be seen on the right side of the screen here... http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...=M&game_id=8715

Very hard game indeed;the most I recall getting is 12,000 or do.Got too watch other people play much better than I could;NovaXpress' tip is exactly what I saw others doing.I got to play a few rounds in a cockpit version of Missile Command;it seemed odd to play this game sitting down though.

Besides the fact that arcade games were everywhere--7/11,pizza joints, grocery stores--I went to a place called The Great Entertainer in Fremont,CA.The front third of the place was vidio games and the more 'adult' area in the back there were pool tables. My favorite game here was Star Castle;also got to play that huge pinball Hercules(it cost a buck to play the damn thing though)--also had my bicycle temporarily ripped off too;found it hidden around a corner.Later this same building was turned into a dance club until there were just too many knife and gun fights... The multi-plex theaters in Fremont and across the freeway in Newark had a good selection of vidio games and still do--both places are listed online when you look up where to play the classic coin-ops. Once I went to the original Chuncky Cheese place in Milpitus or San Jose.Three stories of vidio games--can't forget a place like that!

Looks like I need to put my copy of gunslinger in the safe.Since I am the one who sent in the scan of the label, am I the only one with this cart.?
-
I got one text label version, but still looking for picture label... I have gotten all the Sears text label carts, loose;took about a year in a half on ebay to get em all. Still looking for 7 more picture label ones though....they are; adventure, basketball, cannon man, canyon bomber, dodger cars, missile command, night driver.
-
Wish I had the PhillyClassic 3 cart; that label is cool.It will be interesting to see which controller(joystick/paddle) works the best to play this game.I agree with chrisbid, this should have been called the "SCSIcide Patch V1.01"But all kidding aside, it's going to be great to have yet another homebrew...
-
I consider a game really good if the swearing factor is very high;like when you almost have the baseball on the top level and it relocates to the bottom level. "Ah S#@t"
-
Got my copy Definitely need redemption adapter. The game really starts to get wild on house #5;skill level 1. Can't wait to get the other two games...

Wanted: Blackjack, Fun With Numbers, Hangman (rare labels)
dwh replied to MegaManFan's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I also need Fun With Numbers picture label, and also had a hell of a time finding Flag Capture--had to give up on ebay and buy from and online store(at least I hope I get the right one...waiting on the mail.)I will physically check tonight and see if I have an extra Blackjack, I'm sure it's the Sears version though... -
That's all I need; a John-Deere Atari set up on our John-Deere tractor.Who says you can't play Atari and clear brush at the same time.
-
I am out of Warring Worm carts, and the previous batches were built by Billy Eno (the game's author). I have to work with Billy to produce another batch, and we have spoken about doing a new label for the game. I'll write him today to get that ball rolling again. ..Al So for those hard core collectors, yet another label variant of warring worms...I just ordered AtariVox and two mags,so the xmas QB cart will be on its way.
-
So if I EVER clear six screens there are FOUR more! Crap.
-
Prepare to lose many hours to playing Boing! I have a copy of this game on my multicart and seem to play it every time.I also have a copy of the game too, but no manual;$35 is a steal, since I paid a lot more just for the cartridge.Enjoy...

Maybe you ought to be asking how many people do not want a copy of Wolfenstein for the 2600.This is my round and about way of saying,"Hell yes I'll buy one."

Atari Age Collectible Fact Cards Sound far fetched?Think again-check this link-This guy made aircraft cards,so anything is possible. http://www.luft46.com/

Nice picture of all the boxed games.I have had very bad luck buying copies of m-network games in "un-smashed" boxes. Are these the cheapest boxes that were made in the classic era or what?
-
Just as a precaution, if the candy and cookies are as old as the Sears manual, do not eat them.
-
I'd buy one, especially if offered thru the AA store.
