  1. And it's because they don't care about the past that we can make it the future, and if the don't throw a fit, we put it under a diffrent name but keep the 2600 for advertisement reasons like so home computer ~2600~ as long as we don't use the atari name we should be alright
  2. Ok as my title says i have come up with an idea for a new product, now while considering the way video games are being marketed, and there price range some where around 200-300$, not including games, and the current advancements in eloctronics, could it be possible for a person with the apporopriate rights, to begin a mass reproduction of the atari 2600.....now then i know there will be a mixture of reactions to this frightening thought...but here me out in a way. all of the circutrey required for this is so old that it could be acquired very cheaply, secondely, and lets be honost here, who hasn't wished (if they don't still own one) that they could sit down and play there 2600...and this new reproduction could open a whole new venue of options, we could improve the rom chips in cateridges, making more ellaborate games for our old friend, this could also open a whole new market up to those hoping to make new atari games on a broder scale, and selling the console in it's original VCS box, at 50$ with all 4 controllers, and a pong style game (like the begining) we could make a killing! this of course is just a thought..
  3. The yar's revenge thing isn't exactly a bad idea, BUT i was hoping to put this out on a "hot spot" and make some quick cash off of it, so it's more than a hobby, so now the hard part begins, is Yar's Revenge still owned under a copy right? And if it is who owns it!?
  4. Ok some time over this summer, me and a few other people will begin production on our own aracade machine, and i was just wondering if any one had any NEW ideas for it, i don't want any rehashed ideas, the only guidlines i have is that it is a retros style, something commonly seen the the late 70s early 80s, any display works, all NEW ideas are welcome, thanks...
  5. Ok who the hell currently owns Atari currently? thanks
  6. Ok you peeps, who have helped me so much before, i'm in need of info on programmin games for the jag. Any and all POSITIVE advise would help.
  7. Ok Now if the X-box can handle to run a modified version of Mame on it, why not port a spify new version of a Special Atari Emulator with all of the classics, it wouldn't be that hard, then some how make pirated x-box cds, and start selling them on a black market, some one could compile all of atari's history. This is a request to any one out there who has that much time. God knows i don't
  8. Ok Jess so where's his site at?
