  1. I will use wireless for turn based RPG games but wired for everything else. I do have a dogbone for the nes but I never use it because it doesn't feel genuine to me. It feels like I am using a controller not meant for the system, lol.
  2. Apparently the technology means it can happen like on a plasma or a CRT where as it shouldn't be permanent on a normal LCD. However, looking around at various forums people don't seem to have issues with it. I am just so anal about stuff that I would constantly worry about it ALL the time knowing the potential of it happening is real especially since I keep my TVs for so long.
  3. I know the TCL 5 series TVs have low input lag (mid 10ms) and the price to features ratio is really good on TCL sets. I am not sure about some of the other things but I would start my research with them if I was buying. I am also one who doesn't want anything that will end up with burn in since I keep TVs for like 10+ years and video games tend to have static images on the screen for up to hours at a time so I would avoid OLED even though people on forums in large don't seem to have issues currently. I would just always be worried about it. This site show a bunch of specs for various TVs. Here's the input lag charts. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag
  4. I wonder if they are actually using images from the Pocket or Nt Mini? It wouldn't surprise me if they weren't I guess for the purposes of a Twitter post.
  5. I hope the Pocket is just as limited 🙂
  6. Still let's me get all the way to payment method.
  7. Not that it means much but the DAC shipped around Feb 4th and the adapters shipped around the 12th but can't remember exactly what the site said for estimated ship date. It's possible the DAC said January? I doubt they know at this point.
  8. I know on the Hidef nes he had to remove interpolation to fix some stuff because of needing more gates. Maybe it was the same with the nt mini?
  9. Looks like an improved cart slot and different UI. The question is whether or not the firmware is the same or if the components are different and require a different firmware. If it requires a different firmware it is possible this could get updates/fixes or features that wouldn't be ported to the original. It is also possible this could get jailbroken but no extra cores. Only one or two people know right now and they ain't tellin'.
  10. Cool, thanks. Yeah, mine doesn't like come out but it wiggles around, lol. Thanks 🙂
  11. Is the charge port plug really loose on your dogbone? I ordered one of those too and that little white circular charge port can be moved around really easily on mine. It doesn't affect much other than it's just a little annoying.
  12. Wow, finally a 2.4ghz receiver for the NES as well. That controller/receiver isn't released or announced yet.
  13. The question is whether to buy a new Nt Mini if you already have an older one. Think it will use the same Firmware? I guess that is what decides it for me since it could get bug fixes or features that wouldn't be backported unless it uses the same firmware (like the DAC working with Analogue products but not with an original Nt or the Hidef NES (I know the HiDef NES isn't an Analogue product but I assume Kev could make it work super easy).
  14. I am sure Kevtris knows what is up. I wonder if he is not allowed to talk about it? Analogue clearly doesn't want people modding these adapters.
  15. I didn't get an email yet and my original adapters are set to arrive today. I'm sure the new one will get to me though. I'm not too worried.
  16. eBay would force a return. The buyer just has to open a case. In this case the item is not described properly or they can simply lie and say it doesn't work. eBay very heavily favors buyers. There are actually posts all over about it and how buyers abuse it. It's so easy for buyers to force returns on no return items on eBay. I don't use ebay anymore because of that. One forced return wipes out any profit you would have made by the time you pay for return shipping and PayPal keeps fees now on returns. By the time you put the item up for auction again there is no way to make up the extra $10-$15 in fees/shipping from a return like that especially on lowish priced items. For me it was a special cable for my vehicle. You use this cable to make changes to the computer in the vehicle. I had two people buy the cable and then return it as defective. Basically they used the cable for their purpose and then forced a return as defective. At least that's my assumption since the cable works and that's what made me look into the issue of returns on no return items.
  17. Looks like all Game Gear adapters are faulty. Do not use them. https://support.analogue.co/hc/en-us/articles/360039868671-Mega-Sg-Game-Gear-Adapter-v1-0-PLEASE-READ
  18. Have you stated you want to return it as defective yet? I am curious what they will say once you specifically ask for a defective refund. It seems they clearly aren't going to simply offer that as an option without you pressing them on it. I pray I never have to deal with a defective item from them.
  19. Mine was pushed to Saturday and I live about 12 hours away from where they shipped out. This was basically the same as USPS parcel post. The slowest, lowest cost option. Should have been about $3.50 to ship.
  20. Weird, I had assumed the adapters were basically passive and just made it so the traces of the game matched up with the traces of the system. I wonder what could even fail? Looking at pictures it looks like the only component is a resistor. Do you happen to have the jail break firmware installed? If you do can you boot up a GameGear ROM that way?
  21. Mine will arrive Friday, apparently. I mean I got my shipping info but the package hasn't been picked up yet, Gotta love that they choose the slowest shipping possible. This is like the one company where you will get your stuff faster if you live on the other side of the planet from where they ship, LOL. I live just far enough away that everything gets shipped via bicycle courier I think.
  22. Not only was the shipping about $20 on those adapters but they still haven't shipped yet and are shipping via ground whenever they do...
  23. If you live in the US I am sure retro access could make you cables (I am not sure if they ship out of the country). I had them make me a BNC RGB cable for use with the DAC and Nt Mini. I just told them what I was using it for in the custom cable maker pinout notes.
  24. I don't know enough about the technical parts of it but it seems really weird an analog component signal wouldn't work on everything. 480i doesn't work? I know 480p won't work on most crts.
  25. Dang, this makes me super nervous about how many pre-orders or sales of the Pocket they are going to be able to fullfill. These things have been in the works since the Mega SG was announced and they are already sold out...
