  1. Is the charge port plug really loose on your dogbone? I ordered one of those too and that little white circular charge port can be moved around really easily on mine. It doesn't affect much other than it's just a little annoying.
  2. Wow, finally a 2.4ghz receiver for the NES as well. That controller/receiver isn't released or announced yet.
  3. The question is whether to buy a new Nt Mini if you already have an older one. Think it will use the same Firmware? I guess that is what decides it for me since it could get bug fixes or features that wouldn't be backported unless it uses the same firmware (like the DAC working with Analogue products but not with an original Nt or the Hidef NES (I know the HiDef NES isn't an Analogue product but I assume Kev could make it work super easy).
  4. I am sure Kevtris knows what is up. I wonder if he is not allowed to talk about it? Analogue clearly doesn't want people modding these adapters.
  5. I didn't get an email yet and my original adapters are set to arrive today. I'm sure the new one will get to me though. I'm not too worried.
  6. eBay would force a return. The buyer just has to open a case. In this case the item is not described properly or they can simply lie and say it doesn't work. eBay very heavily favors buyers. There are actually posts all over about it and how buyers abuse it. It's so easy for buyers to force returns on no return items on eBay. I don't use ebay anymore because of that. One forced return wipes out any profit you would have made by the time you pay for return shipping and PayPal keeps fees now on returns. By the time you put the item up for auction again there is no way to make up the extra $10-$15 in fees/shipping from a return like that especially on lowish priced items. For me it was a special cable for my vehicle. You use this cable to make changes to the computer in the vehicle. I had two people buy the cable and then return it as defective. Basically they used the cable for their purpose and then forced a return as defective. At least that's my assumption since the cable works and that's what made me look into the issue of returns on no return items.
  7. Looks like all Game Gear adapters are faulty. Do not use them. https://support.analogue.co/hc/en-us/articles/360039868671-Mega-Sg-Game-Gear-Adapter-v1-0-PLEASE-READ
  8. Have you stated you want to return it as defective yet? I am curious what they will say once you specifically ask for a defective refund. It seems they clearly aren't going to simply offer that as an option without you pressing them on it. I pray I never have to deal with a defective item from them.
  9. Mine was pushed to Saturday and I live about 12 hours away from where they shipped out. This was basically the same as USPS parcel post. The slowest, lowest cost option. Should have been about $3.50 to ship.
  10. Weird, I had assumed the adapters were basically passive and just made it so the traces of the game matched up with the traces of the system. I wonder what could even fail? Looking at pictures it looks like the only component is a resistor. Do you happen to have the jail break firmware installed? If you do can you boot up a GameGear ROM that way?
  11. Mine will arrive Friday, apparently. I mean I got my shipping info but the package hasn't been picked up yet, Gotta love that they choose the slowest shipping possible. This is like the one company where you will get your stuff faster if you live on the other side of the planet from where they ship, LOL. I live just far enough away that everything gets shipped via bicycle courier I think.
  12. Not only was the shipping about $20 on those adapters but they still haven't shipped yet and are shipping via ground whenever they do...
  13. If you live in the US I am sure retro access could make you cables (I am not sure if they ship out of the country). I had them make me a BNC RGB cable for use with the DAC and Nt Mini. I just told them what I was using it for in the custom cable maker pinout notes.
  14. I don't know enough about the technical parts of it but it seems really weird an analog component signal wouldn't work on everything. 480i doesn't work? I know 480p won't work on most crts.
  15. Dang, this makes me super nervous about how many pre-orders or sales of the Pocket they are going to be able to fullfill. These things have been in the works since the Mega SG was announced and they are already sold out...
  16. I bought two sets. $19.68 shipping to MN. At least they didn't double the shipping for ordering two. I like their products and Kevtris too much not to buy their stuff due to the shipping cost. It's too bad they packaged them all together and didn't let us buy the ones we want individually.
  17. Got my shipping info... Should have the DAC Friday! Woohoo!
  18. I bet the person who said if they got to 1,000 didn't think it would get that high or isn't at a level to make that decision and they shouldn't have posted it. It's weird to me a company that knows their product is in demand and essentially can't lose money on it wouldn't keep selling it. I'd love to know the real reason. They have/had all the steps to have it manufactured set up already. I wonder if some of the parts just aren't available anymore or maybe the analog side of it is the issue since it wouldn't fit in with selling the DAC but the DAC seems pretty limited at this point.
  19. I'll be curious how they package the Nt Mini and how much it will cost for this final run. The 8bitdo controller that originally came with the system is no longer made. I wonder if they will include the newer model and a retro receiver or if they will omit the controller.
  20. Yeah, I think if you rely on email you will miss out if they really are limited. My guess is you are going to need to see the Twitter posts that people are making about it going live and hope their website isn't crashing.
  21. Someone on Twitter asked about the DAC awhile back and Analogue responded it would be available again.
  22. With how much stuff Kevtris seems to be working on I doubt he will work on anything that isn't replicating how the original system works. He doesn't even have time to fix bugs or implement features for the past systems at this point and they have new products coming in a couple months. And based on past comments around here I doubt he would even entertain the idea of looking at someone else's code.
  23. If I didn't have two of them already I would have ordered one. The music stuff doesn't interest me though so it would be for the color only.
  24. Although I don't have it, if the USB ports can output 2A then there is no reason it shouldn't work. If it doesn't work then it is defective or not reliably putting out 2A at all times from the ports. The Mega Sg wants 2A according to the manual. If it doesn't work I would simply return as defective and then you won't pay shipping fee to return. I think the only issue is how does it supply the power when a different number of ports are being used? "smart 2.0 technology that detects all connected devices and adjusts the charging output accordingly" Are they all 2A all the time or does that change if you have 1, 2 or 3 devices plugged in and being used? Maybe 2 of the ports are 3A and the other 2 are only 1A if you have 4 things plugged in and turned on at the same time? All you can do is try it out and plug a couple things in while you are using one of your consoles.
  25. My bets are that there will not be a way to bundle the adapters with the DAC.
