Sort of lost interest in pop culture after 2003 or so. My co-workers discuss the newest superhero movie and I'm looking for a new band or movie from the 80s to discover. The era seems more genuine. Today's culture is throwaway; lots of CGI, pop music, but little substance. YMMV.

Creepy 50 year old neighbor dude was over for dinner last night and wanted me to put nude photos of Miley Cyrus on his new smart phone. He doesn't have the internet at his house. I told him "these are all probably fake". His mother just passed away 3 years ago. They were inseparable. I told him I could help him set up a dating profile.
