my first instinct, what if its a tye-dye shirt? ?

Know what's slightly funny about this?  My Work "uniform" is a tye dye shirt!  Yup!  All employees at the Little Philly (a cheese steak restaurant) wear them.   I get lots of compliments on it actually...When I make a delivery, people are always asking if we sell the shirts.

My worst purchase was when I bought Wings of War for Genesis at Half Price Books... it would have been great if not for the fact that I did not check the case and it had a f**king copy of Slaughter Sport (or how I like to call it Shitter Sport) in it instead.

Didn't read the whole wall of text, but... send a boxed gamed (even a repro) in a bubbleope and you should be castrated.

That's very close.  I had to stop the learning to drive with mom.  She freaked out way too much and it made it even more difficult.  Dad always managed to stay calm.

Once I got the license she was fine.

Honestly my 7800 has always worked great. Never had ANY issues out of it. I hear from other owners that their proline controllers go bad, and those are pretty uncomfortable, but I always use either a Sega Genesis controller or my PAL 7800 gamepad. Get yourself one of those and you'll be fine. Its a solid little console and best of all it plays all of your 2600 games!

My 7800's RF box modulator inside went so I did the composite mod.  Sometimes I need to spray the POWER and the other switches with electronic cleaner.

Also they say not every 7800 is the same...Some of the early models like to crawl away from your Atari room when no one's looking,  and perch themselves high up on a chair so they can watch you sleep, but nobody talks about it ?

If you were in Ohio, I'd buy you a pitcher of beer and then carry you out to my car.    Happy birthday!

I don't know if these were left in a basement or an attic,  though from what I saw cleaning them I think Garage might be the right answer. Mold in the Fireworld box (meh) and the Memory match manual has been rolled up and has been soaked so it's glued itself together in a tube of hatred. Pong Sports and Warlords have a clean bill of health apart from a lot of yellowing inside the box. And judging from the color of the gunk I wiped off of the boxes, carts, and manuals, this guy was a heavy smoker but its been so long the smell has faded. Eh for 15 bucks that ain't bad. 

Once I got a Atari 2600 Jr. that had an alive small cockroache inside, along several patches of cockroaches eggs. I sprayed alcohol over them, and these make a crackling sound. Interestingly the alcohol kiils cockroaches. Then it's only a matter of using a toothbrush with more alcohol to clean.

Maybe the spider was just as disappointed as you to not see Spider Fighter in the package

They had to pad out the delivery time so they just sent it somewhere else for a day to meet, instead of beat, that deadline. I mean, there's no way that they could have delivered it early, that would be preposterous.

In general, I also like M. Night.  (Ducks!)  Though yes there is a part of me that automatically finds the flaw(s) in his movies while I watch them...I guess I think he is at least trying something different and I also admire imagination, even when it goes awry haha...

I too loved the concepts he had for his movies. 

I think part of it is, is that they are usually shown open-frame, which, for Plan 9 at least, wasn't his intent. He wanted that one shown in wide-screen, with fair cropping on the top and bottom, probably with his notes to the specifics, now lost. So, yes, some of the duff set-pieces and technical faults, often opined about, might have been cropped out, making it just a little more believable. The performances are often frighteningly competent, given how few takes were actually done. There must have been some rehearsal..

The hardware was ok, basically a hand held master system. But the library was awful. I much preferred the Lynx library.

If it had better games, it could have been a nice little unit. Shame it didn't get them. 

Yes it was. It's ability to consume Energizers was rivaled only by my first generation digital camera.

Oh yes, I definitely spent a lot of money on batteries.  I played with it plugged into the wall as much as I could!  I still have an LCD mod I need to do on one of my Lynxes!
