Thank you for posting. I'm not much into GameCube these days but even hearing about this being preserved and available for people to check out it's so great to hear. It's also so awesome with the number of prototypes turning up across the board these days.

Buy some freezer spray. Spray the chips while it's being used and see if it helps at work properly again for a short time. Once you figure out which one it is it's an easy replacement at that point for most of them.

I basically get horizontal RF noise through it even though it's on composite input. It seems to be the capacitors getting worn out. I am getting the jitter on most games that support analog controllers. It did it on arkanoid and now Polaris. Does anybody know what causes that? Also if the ram is failing will upgrading it to a 512 k RAM upgrade fix the bad ram or is there additional RAM chips besides that upgrade that have to be replaced? Once again I have plenty of good at soldering equipment I do a lot of repairs on game systems but I have no experience with the TRS-80 or troubleshooting with it. This is where I will need the advice from.

So hopefully threadjacking is better than a new thread. I have some issues with my Coco 3 as well. I have no problem doing repairs but am not great at diagnosis so here goes with the questions. I've played a few different games just today, haven't used the computer in a year or two before this and noticed that sometimes games boot in black and white. It happened with Skiing, a Coco 1 game and then had color after a few resets. Robocop is always black and white and I played Arkanoid and any letter M is corrupted in the game. Also what's with Arkanoid having a jittery Vaus no matter what joystick I use? The video is also ripply, is this bad capacitors? I can do the caps no problem if so. Are the other issues bad ram? If so is it best to replace all and I also want to upgrade to 512k for sure. Any help is appreciated.

I do have to say that it was a really nice write-up. This looks like it would have a really nice title had it been released and a worthwhile piece for any game library. It was probably just abandoned during the crash. On a side note, the sheer number of unreleased to try 2600 games discovered in the last 12 months or so has really been encouraging and exciting. Hopefully more stuff will continue to turn up.

That's what I'm just wondering if there's some type of special edition or early release. In my opinion they are pretty cool looking.

I understand that these are standard but these have a black fire button instead of orange and they also have orange directional arrows around the joystick instead of black. The color scheme is completely different.

If anybody has any of these replacement ram kits for sale or notice if a place to buy them right now let me know. I can't find them for sale anymore online anywhere. I have one personal unit and a friend of mine who owns a video game store probably has half a dozen of them and all of them are black and white or poor picture so it would be really cool to be able to repair at least a few of these.

If you need a Wii u send me a pm. I have a couple for sale one black and one white. If you bought the white one I would have to include a black tablet since the white tablet has a shattered screen. I have been cleaning these up to sell it my video game booth but I could hold one for you. I have recently went through them and started cleaning them up in factory restoring them.

My friend owns a video game store and we were digging through his warehouse and we found this pair of TI controllers. The color scheme is completely different and we can't seem to find any info on them. The model number is identical to the standard TI joysticks. If anybody can shed any light on these it would be appreciated.

I don't need this unit but I will attest that anybody who has been able to refurbish this gets a tip of the hat from me. I think you have a really good price on this. I can speak from experience as I have attempted to repair one of these before. The CDI 910 unit is hands down the most difficult game system I've ever disassembled before. Good luck on the sale and I think you will find a buyer.

Did you buy all the games too? I have a system, just looking for one or two games but list and pics don't match up.

What is still available here? I'm interested though I have to see if I can make it happen financially.
