1. Just a note for everyone... there's a port on the top of the controller where you will be able to insert an expansion cartridge later on with 2 more games (I believe it was 2)... maybe those 2 extra games will see some more polish before release!
2. Another ColecoVision question (I figured I'd keep the # of threads down by adding my own Coleco ?? in here) for all who have an Atari Expansion Module. Are there any games that won't work on it? I have 4 or so Atari 2600 carts that I've tested and all but one seems to work. The ones that worked: Adventure Bump N Jump Holiday QB The one that didn't: Midnight Magic Of course it would have to be that one... I wanted some Pinball action for my Coleco and I get a black screen when I turn on the system. Any advice from anyone? (I even gave the contacts a bit of a cleaning) I wish I had an Atari to test the cart on as it may be a dead cart but it looks immaculate and I bought it from the Goat Store online. (No complaints about my order... everything was great! ) If someone has a copy of Midnight Magic and a Coleco with Atari Module could ya test 'er out for me? I hope it's a cart in need of a second/third/fourth cleaning.
3. I agree completely! Tons of great stuff for the DS and the Cube even has some goodies coming out this fall- Zelda... nuff said! The DS price is a fair one but the Cube asking price is quite high... perhaps if you asked for $200 you might have more success... just my opinion though.
4. I'm not sure what the Easter Egg actually is but I know there is one as Opcode posted asking if anyone found it yet. I have no reason to doubt the person who made the game. Whether it's Billiards or something else entirely remains to be seen. Mind me asking how you managed to get one? I'm looking for a copy and would really like to get one.
5. I'd like a copy too... I'm hoping I can still order one... I've asked around but things have been rather quiet with the replies. I'm very interested in this one! As for the Easter Egg.. try the Konami code on the title screen... that may be it... this is a Konami game originally after all.
6. Part of the "Revolution" mystery is about the controllers for the new system. I remember when the N64 had a mysterious controller which was in a black bag and Nintendo Power had pics of people testing games with their hands in those black bags. It didn't take long for the other companies to grab onto the Analog Stick idea. I can understand why Nintendo doesn't want to spill the beans on the controllers for the REV. Perhaps these controllers are something "Revolutionary". One thing's for certain... there won't be the directional pad and A + B buttons... that was mentioned months ago. As for what to expect? Maybe some ugly controller that will make you wonder which end is up or something to that degree? I dunno... but it'll be cool to see! Another possible revolutionary idea could be that the system will be compatible with XBox 360!? They both feature similar names and could be a team-up of Nintendo and Microsoft. (To battle the PS3 juggernaut?) Well... perhaps not. Then again.... perhaps the Nintendo Revolution is like the Nintendo Dolphin and nothing more than a project name. It'll release as the Super Gamecube instead! LOL!
7. Did you ever play the Arcade/MSX version of CastleVania? It was awesome! Somewhat the same as the NES version but if I never played in the arcade I would have passed on it for the NES... until I came to my senses and a friend started bragging it up. 860545 Actually yes I did. About a year ago I was poking around and came across some info on "Vampire Killer" for the MSX. Naturally I had to check it out. Loved it. And I'd played the NES in times past (rented it lots but never bought it). And of course now via emulation and all I've been able to play it again from time to time at whim. The MSX version still adds a little extra strategy into the mix, somehow. So I'm anxious to see how it will look on the Colecovision once done. Something like a mix between the MSX Vampire Killer and the NES Castlevania would be awesome to behold. Makes you wonder why Konami didn't do that in the first place with the NES game, doesn't it? 860720 Actually I don't think Konami had any idea how popular it would be in North America. They were pumping out many different titles for the NES and this was just another one added to the mix. (Remember the classic - Stinger? LOL!) Considering they were porting so much they did rather well with CastleVania. As for the Colecovision version... I'm really looking forward to it! I'm beginning to understand what Opcode's vision is with this thing! I think he wants to make the ULTIMATE ARCADE MACHINE out of the Colecovision! Even the original carts are very close to the arcade... why not add more games to the mix!

9. Thankfully this one is on the Flashback 2.0 and will save me some $$. I can now stop looking for it! (Perhaps now I will find one in the wild!)
10. FATAL RUN!!! WOO HOO!!! This is WAY MORE than I had hoped for! Pitfall and River Raid were awesome additions but FATAL RUN! NICE! :)
11. Well from the news of E3... there is no news!! Apparently there was a power outage and caused a 6 hour delay to the official start to this years E3. I'm wondering if anything got started at E3 today. It must have been all those Flashback Units that were hogging all the power and shorted out the power! LOL!
12. The DS would be awesome as a INTV keypad! That's for sure! Perhaps we'll see something like that in the future?!?!
13. Nothing quite beats a marathon match of NHL Hockey on the INTV! We were playing that on the PS2 compilation and had so much fun that we started a mini league! (I guess kinda like in the 80's!) On a positive note, someone at work has a INTV with a pile of games waiting for me. I asked how much... she said free! She doesn't use it anymore and her favorite game on it was Reversi! Can't wait for her to dig it out of the closet for me!
14. Quick question... are these still available? I'd like to get one.. then I'll hunt down the mystery easter egg! What's the cost? I'm in!
15. The ability to play NES, SNES etc games on it is what has me intrigued! Perhaps you will be able to d-load them or something. Sounds promising though! Finally a system which will allow you to enjoy every game the company produced! Sounds like fun! Nintendo does have one feather in their cap. They know how to make fun games! Let the fun of E3 2005 begin!
16. In case you may have been confused, Vader is not the name of a high class hooker. 856667 You're right. Much cheaper and more fun! And it lasts for more than one night 856708 Cheaper and more fun for the mean time but when you say lasts longer than one night are you referring to some kind of STD? LOL!
17. Umm... pics are okay but the controller looks rather lame.. have to try it out to see how it feels I guess. QUESTION--- WHERE DO THE MEMORY CARDS GO FOR THE PS1 and PS2? Perhaps a flip top on the left side and a hard drive for the PS3 game saves?
18. Don't talk about borders for flower gardens... I just spent the weekend building a garden border wall with those garden blocks. I spent way too much time chipping off the ends to make them fit. Oh well... I guess I'm happy it's over and it does look good too! Actually I was thinking of putting some of the rarer carts in a VHS case... kinda like the Reversi Homebrew case. Maybe I'll print out a color insert for the case too. (Make my own boxes and always have a screen shot on the back!)
19. I don't always wear them, it just depends. 856331 Could've used them on your journey to New York! Save at least a few minutes each way!
20. Hey DD I never knew you wore Depends? Rough life ya have there! J/K
21. The Space Invaders DS must be a Jap release correct? I've been keenly following the North American releases and wouldn't have missed on already.. or did I? A nice surprise to find a new Retro style game for my DS. Retro Atari isn't great but there are fun games on there.
22. Awesome stuff! And more you say?! I'll enjoy being broke! I guess it's time to raise some extra funds by selling some stuff on Ebay! LOL! Astro Invader and more in 2005! With a box and manual to boot!
23. WHOAH! That's awesome! I hope there will be copies available at the AA store after release? I can't make it to the show (I'm in Canada eh!?) but would like to get this one! I liked Stern games from the 80's... can't say I've ever heard of this one though.. I've been missing out. (I think if I ever saw the marquee in the arcade I would have thought it was a knock off of Space Invaders)... that could be why. Good job Scott! Looking forward to hearing about this one! I agree... I think some of the older Homebrews need to make it back into production. Is Yie-Ar-Kung-Fu available at all? I haven't noticed it arriving in the store here but I may have missed it. As for the new homebrew announcement of Astro Invaders... my question is... what's that? Is it a renamed Space Invaders? I'm hoping for a new game! 855887 855942

25. After all I've seen and read about Space Invaders (which is on the way! ) I too would like to see Galaga for the Colecovision! Opcode is all about quality! I even emailed them about a copy of Yie-Ar-Kung-Fu... wanna get all their titles!
